Max was taken aback by such a sudden outburst of Ashley as he unconsciously took a step back in shock but this action of his fell in her eyes made her just cry out even more intensely.
'What is happening?'
Max was super confused, he was not paying attention to her, as he was still wondering about what type is this new protagonist, and whether or not the plot is sync with others or follow their own timeline hence why he was being humiliated here for build up the ground for revenge.
"Sister, did you lose my invitation? Hey don't worry about it, I already made other arrangements, I don't really need your invitation."
Max couldn't bear to see such a beautiful woman cry-no bawling in front of him, at least not when he was not the reason for her bawling out.
