"So that's what happened," Cail said as he munched on a piece of lemon cake he had bought on the way to the hotel. Unexpectedly, Cail, who hated sweets, loved lemon cakes. For him, lemon cake was a different breed of sweet.
He was talking with the Fake God about what had happened in the rift. That was basically it. Virehn had been conducting a big experiment and was playing God. Everyone seemed vague about his true goal, but that was it.
The Fake God didn't want to reveal what had happened between his daughter and Virehn, much to Cail's dismay. Now that he had finally had a good rest, he was feeling a bit gossipy.
"Ugh..."
Cail looked toward the source of the sound. He heard the man groaning. Oh, he's finally awake?
Feeling like he had just woken from a nightmare, the young man opened his eyes and was greeted by a bright ceiling light.
"Where am I?" he asked weakly.
