"Jonathan it's time to wake up".Lady Camilla said as she Opened the curtains.
"Mother let me be".he said while covering his face with the pillow.
"Jonathan you should behave properly, your father was very angry...."
"Mother, well your husband hates me and I am not interested in seeing him". Jonathan said angrily as he sat up.
"Jonathan you will not disrespect my husband in my presence".she said sternly.
"Mother I am really tired,you came in here to disturb my sleep and honestly I am very angry".he said.
"Jonathan when will you behave like an adult".She said angrily.
"Mother I am 5000 years old, why are you screaming in my ears this morning". he said as he stood up.
"Be ready on time for the meeting or else..."
"Mother you always support his doings,he stripped me of my title and power, you said nothing about it so please leave".jonathan said angrily.
"Jonathan be ready on time".she said and vanished into thin air.
Jonathan was the second son of lord Charles and lady Camilla.the guardians and rulers of the land of the spirits. He had two younger siblings.Draya the first son and Amilia the last and only daughter. Jonathan and his father weren't in good terms, they argued alot and his father favoured draya more than he did Jonathan ever since they were little.
"Jonathan". draya said as he appeared in his room.
"What's this, can't you see am getting dressed". Jonathan said while wearing his robe.
"You are off to the brothel".draya said as he glared at him.
"Look brother,these ladies won't let me be and since am no longer useful I might as well enjoy myself". Jonathan said smiling.
"Jonathan stop joking around, aren't you tired of your punishment.I have already spoken to father to restore your power and title you only need to beg him".draya said worriedly.
"I would never do that,all my life I have always been loyal and obedient but he never cared. I begged him to save her but he refused". Jonathan said calmly.
"you need to forget about her brother, it's all in the past".draya said.
"Don't you dare speak about lily like that, she was everything to me, I loved her so much but what did he do, he sent her to the protect the mortals, knowing that she would never refuse him,He knew how cruel the mortals can be,they cursed her to death, I begged him not to let her go,". Jonathan said in pain as he held back his tears.
"Jonathan it's been 2000 years already let it go".draya said.
"I cannot do that,If only he hadn't sent me to war,lily would have still been alive today. Mortals are evil and I hate them". Jonathan said calmly.
"Brother you are miserable without your powers".Draya said.
"I am fine without them please leave me alone".Jonathan said.
"Happy birthday brother".Amilia said as she appeared.
"You look terrible". Jonathan said mockingly.
"Jonathan don't be mean to her, happy birthday bro".draya said as they hugged him.
"I hate you".Amilia said as she freed herself from him.
"The feeling is quite mutual". Jonathan said smiling.
"Stop it both of you".draya said sternly and they all laughed.
"I need to leave now."Jonathan said calmly.
"You look terrible in those clothes".Amilia said.
"These clothes are better than your horrible makeup". Jonathan said coldly and left. He knew his sister disliked anyone condemning her makeup.
"Amilia let him be".draya said as he held his sister back.
"I hate Jonathan, he is always gloomy and depressed". Amilia said angrily.
"It's has gotten worse since lily's death, we should cheer him up".draya said.he felt bad for his brother.
"I can't believe this, Jonathan doesn't care about us, if it weren't for you I wouldn't have wished him today, he has managed to ruin my day". Amilia said angrily and disappeared.
Jonathan went to the brothel. He had few friends there and everyone knew him.
"Jonathan I prepared this wine specially for you". Malia the owner of the brothel said as she poured him a glass.everyone knew she loved Jonathan.
"Malia thank you very much". Jonathan said coldly as usual.
"How is it".she said smiling.
"It's okay".he said while nodding after taking a sip.
"The men will be here very soon".she said smiling as she poured him another glass.
"Malia you spoil me too much".he said.
"It is my job to keep you happy at all times". She said smiling.
"You do your work really well".he said as he took another sip.
"Let's get married forget about lily".Malia said.
"What's the meaning of this, how dare you insult lily in my presence". Jonathan said angrily as he stood up.
"You look miserable Jonathan and it breaks my heart to see you this way, she didn't deserve you".Malia said.
"Malia,If you weren't my friend I would have dealt with you mercilessly, It's looks like I have overstayed my welcome".jonathan said.
"Jonathan leave and never come back".she said as she threw wine on his clothes.
"Cheap prostitute".he said angrily and left.
"My lord, I request that you calm down". Lady Camilla said calmly as knelt down.
"I have had enough of this boy, I need to teach him a lesson".lord Charles said angrily.
"Pardon him please my lord, he is still mourning these things take time". lady Camilla said calmly.as she stood up
"You pamper him too much, he isn't the only one that has lost a loved one".lord Charles said angrily.
"My king greetings, lord Jonathan is not in his room".The bodyguard said in a bow as he walked in.
"Find him and bring him here".lord Charles said and he left.
"Greetings father".Amilia said as she appeared.
"Greetings, did Jonathan not come home last night".Lord Charles said.deep down he always cared about jonathan.
"I don't know".Amilia answered.
"What's wrong with you, how can you not know".lady Camilla said angrily.
"Mother let me be, you know how Jonathan can be, it's best I avoid him". Amilia said nonchalantly.
"I can't believe this".lady Camilla said.
"Greetings father".draya said as he appeared with jonathan.
"How dare you bring me here, you should have left me in the tomb stone". Jonathan said
"Jonathan you reek of alcohol, what's wrong with you do you want to kill yourself".lady Camilla said worriedly.
"Mother I died the day she died, I have no will to live....."
"Jonathan kneel down".lord Charles said angrily.and he knelt down.
"Lord Charles you now use your powers to make me kneel". Jonathan said.he couldn't move his body.
"Father pleade calm down".draya said calmly.
"Stay out of it". lord Charles warned.
"Yes father".draya said.he knew better than not to challenge his father.
"Jonathan I see you haven't learnt your lesson yet".lord Charles said as he glared at him.
"Just kill me, If you want to". Jonathan said.
"You have disgraced the family so many times, I have overlooked some of your mistakes and even punished you but you still wouldn't change."lord Charles said.
"So what have you decided". Jonathan asked.
"You possessed a mortal king,in your drunken state and slept with his wife."lord Charles said.
"I was drunk and I would never possess a mortal". Jonathan said.
"That night, his mother prayed and that the warrior deity possess the king, so the king can give his wife an heir, she even gave him the lavender potion, which will attract you and weaken the king..."
"Father I was drunk and I don't remember, I was stripped from my title.I am no longer the warrior deity and it's not my fault". Jonathan said in fright.
"You still had your way with his wife, the king is dead and the kingdom is already in chaos, I now command you to go back to the mortal world, possess the body of the king and await your death".lord Charles said.
"Father you can't do this please".draya said as he knelt down.
"I can't go to the mortal world". Jonathan said.
"Please father, Jonathan might not be the best brother, but don't do this to him".Amilia cried.
"My lord, that king is destined to face many dangers, please don't do this to our son". Lady Camilla begged.
"I will not go back on my word, if Jonathan sets things right he will be given a second chance to come back home. Now Jonathan go to the land of the mortals". lord Charles said and Jonathan vanished.
