{Kelsey's Residence - 7:02 A.M.}
"Should I go or not?"
I kept asking myself that question. If Cecelia needed my help, it would be good for me to be there for her, even if I had just met her a few hours ago.
I stared at the message on my phone, for what seemed to be the fourth time. Cecelia's name glowed faintly on the screen like it was calling out to me, tugging at the little piece of guilt already forming in my chest.
I dropped the phone in the drawer and exhaled deeply, my hands covering my face.
"I'll just ignore the message,"
I turned my head slowly and lay on the bed to sleep.
Landon was still asleep beside me, one arm draped across my waist. The rise and fall of his chest was calm and peaceful. His hair was a little messy, and his mouth parted slightly with every breath he took.
He looked relaxed, like a man who had no burdens. Like he wasn't carrying a thousand secrets behind that perfect jawline and those intense eyes.
