Chapter 329 - 420-425

Sotornagian People are really similar to Predators. The latter likes to make their Prey into handy weapons, and the former also has this custom. It's just that Sotornagian People only collect Machine Prey and are more picky, while Predators are more omnivorous and almost never refuse anything.

Yang Le, who had transformed into a Sotornagian, was no exception. Discarding the Pilot's Severed Hand, Yang Le began to carefully examine the remaining usable things on the Mecha. He wasn't worried about Gwen at all. With the Shapeshifter Suit and Spider-Woman's Superpower, unless she encountered a BUG Level character, Gwen would be overwhelming. Just relying on the Terrorists' Armament couldn't hurt her. It would be better to check the other side's Technology to see if he could find any Clue.

Yang Le roughly surveyed the various Armament on the Mecha and found that they were basically worthless things. These large-sized Armament couldn't be installed on Yang Le's Armor at all. Yang Le could only remove the Communication Device from the Cockpit, and then use his Faceplate's built-in Communication Device to record the Terrorists' Communication Channel. Then, he used Mechanical Appendage to download all the Information from the Mecha.

After doing all this, Yang Le turned around and found Gwen standing below the Mecha Wreckage. She was looking up at him with her Head raised, and he didn't know how long she had been standing there.

Jumping down from the Wreckage to Gwen's side, Yang Le asked, "How is it going on your side?"

Gwen pointed behind her. Yang Le followed her Finger and indeed saw the untied Tony. The other party hadn't removed his Armament yet, and it seemed he was still wary of Yang Le and Gwen.

"Who are you people?" Tony asked. Perhaps because of the Mask, his voice sounded a bit muffled and not very clear.

"Masked Hero, just like those reported in the Newspaper. I remember your Dad is also a Vigilante." Yang Le spread out his Hand. "What? Don't we look like it?"

"Masked Hero? Maybe." Tony shrugged. "Then what are your Code Names? I at least need to know who saved me."

"She's called Ghost-Spider, as for me..." Yang Le hesitated for a moment before saying, "You can call me Gutrot."

Considering that if Ben Tennyson transformed into a Sotornagian, he would definitely name himself with the number ten, probably calling himself Ten-Ten Monster. Not wanting to have the same Name, Yang Le couldn't call himself Eleven-Eleven Monster either. Fortunately, the profound and extensive Chinese language could perfectly solve this problem. Yang Le even felt that the Name he chose was very ingenious.

But unfortunately, although Yang Le spoke of the profound and extensive Chinese, Omnitrix translated into English would still directly state its meaning.

"Gutrot?" Tony couldn't help but frown. "This Name is... very mathematical. I thought you must have many Brothers and Sisters."

"No, I'm an only child," Yang Le said.

"Okay." Tony didn't feel embarrassed by his wrong guess and continued as if nothing happened.

"Thank you very much for rescuing me from the Terrorists. Could you leave an address so I can visit and express my Gratitude in person?"

"No need, young master," Gwen waved her Hand. "You should be more concerned about your Home's property."

Reminded by Gwen, Tony finally remembered this link that was least important in his Eyes. Scanning the Gymnasium under Stark Industries that had just been completed for less than a month, it seemed that it would take a long Time to put it back into use.

"Tony!"

A crisp Sound came from his ear. Tony looked over and saw Xue Xi running towards him. Seeing her youthful and energetic appearance, Tony's Mood improved a bit.

Tearing off his Mask, Tony smiled and caught Xue Xi who rushed towards him, saying, "I'm really glad you're okay, but it's a pity that your Concert is ruined."

"That's not important," Xue Xi shook her Head. "The Concert can be held again anytime, as long as people are okay."

"I still have to apologize to you, after all, the cause of this Business is because of me." Tony looked at Xue Xi apologetically.

"Don't say that," Xue Xi put her Hand on Tony's Shoulder, looking directly into his Eyes. "No one could have predicted all of this would happen, and besides, you are also a victim, Tony."

"Cough cough cough!"

Just as Tony was about to speak, a few coughs came from the side. The two turned their Heads together and saw an Armor floating in the Air.

The blue and silver paint scheme looked restrained and serious. The Stark Industries Symbol located on the Shoulder indicated the Identity of the comer.

"Dad?"

"Mr. Stark!"

The two's reactions were completely opposite. Tony had a face full of resentment, while Xue Xi's Face was full of panic.

"I thought I was wearing Stealth Armor." Howard Stark's voice came from inside the Battle Suit. Seeing that both of them were looking at him, he then Maneuvered the Battle Suit to land.

"Thump!"

"Actually, I didn't really want to interrupt you two." Howard's voice was full of helplessness. "But after all, the situation is special now."

"Don't worry about it, Mr., we're actually fine." Xue Xi broke free from Tony's embrace, awkwardly tidying her Hair. Tony rolled his Eyes at his Dad.

"Speaking of which, this is still our first time meeting, right, Xue Xi?" Howard stepped towards the two of them. Accompanied by the Footsteps of the Battle Suit, Xue Xi's Heartbeat gradually quickened.

"Yes, Mr." Xue Xi became even more embarrassed. Because of what had just happened, she was still wearing her Performance outfit for the Performance. Because of the strenuous Exercise, it had long been soaked with sweat. Although it was dry now, it was still covered with a lot of Dust and Soil. Xue Xi felt that her current appearance must be terrible.

Tony saw Xue Xi's embarrassment. After taking off the Gloves on his Right Hand, he put his Hand on Xue Xi's Shoulder and said, "Don't worry about it, Xue Xi. My Dad is a very busy person. That Battle Suit might be just an empty shell."

"You guessed wrong on that one, Little Genius."

The Battle Suit unfolded, and Howard, wearing a well-tailored suit, walked out from inside. He stopped right in front of the two of them. Behind him, the Battle Suit closed again, transforming into a Humanoid form and standing guard on the side.

"The one in danger is my Son. No matter what Business I have, I will come to your side."

Howard extended his Right Hand to Xue Xi, and the meaning was self-evident. Xue Xi was stunned for a moment before she came back to her senses and shook his Hand.

"So, who can tell me exactly what Business happened?" Howard looked at the messy interior of the Gymnasium. "I remember the completed drawings I saw before weren't in this style."

"A group of Terrorists wanted to kidnap me." Tony tilted his Head. "I fought back valiantly but was ultimately defeated and captured. The Masked Hero duo standing over there saved me."

Tony pointed as he turned his Head, but when he turned back, he found that the place where Yang Le and Gwen should have been standing was now empty.

Chapter 422 Rooftop Conversation

Yang Le and Gwen certainly weren't going to just stand by and watch the Stark family drama. Since their date had been ruined, they might as well make the most of the remaining time.

"Where to now?" Gwen stood at the edge of a rooftop of a tower, overlooking the city traffic below that looked like ants. "Come to think of it, it's been almost four months since I've seen this view. It's been that long since I've been Ghost-Spider."

"This place is nice. You can take in the most beautiful night view of the city." Yang Le, having transformed back into a human, stood beside Gwen. "Sometimes just being together quietly like this is nice too."

"You're right." Gwen took a step forward, standing as if on flat ground on the wall of the tower, perpendicular to the ground. Then she turned around, leaving the noisy ground behind.

"Uh, I don't think I can see the view you're looking at right now." Yang Le awkwardly looked at Gwen's back.

"Don't you have the Omnitrix?" Gwen turned around, looking at Yang Le, who was at a 90-degree angle to her, confused. "Couldn't you just transform into an alien hero who can wall-crawl?"

"Give me a break, Gwen." Yang Le said, sounding pained. "It's rare for us to have time together, and I'd rather spend it with you as myself."

"Heh heh." Gwen looked at Yang Le playfully. When he started to look a little uncomfortable under her gaze, she suddenly opened her arms. "Then let me help you."

"You mean... okay." Yang Le understood what Gwen meant. Even though his heart was pounding like a drum, he pretended to be calm and stepped off the edge.

First, he felt the pull of gravity. Even though he knew in his heart that nothing would happen, the actual experience still made Yang Le's adrenaline surge. Fortunately, Gwen caught him a second later, otherwise Yang Le might have been tempted to activate the Omnitrix.

"How does it feel?" Gwen smiled, looking down at Yang Le in her arms, who looked a little dazed.

"Too thrilling." Yang Le swallowed hard. "Honestly, I feel like my heart is about to jump out of my chest."

Gwen chuckled softly, then freed her right hand to shoot two webs at the wall. She wrapped the two webs around Yang Le's waist, using them as a safety rope, and finally sat on the wall while holding him.

"It really is different." Yang Le looked at the busy ground below. This was the first time he had experienced something so dangerous in his ordinary person state. Both the view and the physical feeling were novel experiences for him.

"So you can actually make that kind of expression." Gwen teased.

Yang Le was a bit speechless and said, "I'm just an ordinary person, Gwen. It's normal to be scared when jumping from this high up."

"I know." Gwen pressed her head against Yang Le's chest, listening to his heartbeat, which was noticeably faster than usual. "I'm just used to seeing you being all-powerful. It's just novel to see you like this for the first time."

"You're probably the only one who gets to see me like this." Yang Le tried to calm his heartbeat. He was acutely aware of his racing heart, and even though he'd already shown his fear, he still subconsciously tried to play it down.

"Remember to hold on tight. I'm just an ordinary person now."

"Got it, Mr. All-Powerful."

"Good morning, Gwen!"

"Good morning, Katie."

Seeing her friend, who was full of energy, Gwen, who was already in a good mood, couldn't help but smile. It seemed like today would be a good day.

"You seem to be in a great mood. What's up? Did your boyfriend give you a gift?" Katie asked, her face full of gossip.

Katie, who was practically inseparable from Gwen at school, knew about Yang Le and Gwen's relationship. In fact, it wasn't just Katie; almost everyone in their grade knew.

It started when Gwen had just transferred school and attracted a lot of attention with her good looks. To avoid unnecessary trouble, Gwen had to publicly announce that she had a boyfriend.

But even then, a small group of people insisted that this boyfriend was just a fabricated shield and continued to pursue Gwen relentlessly. Gwen chose to ignore them, and eventually, she finally found peace and quiet.

However, a large number of people still believed that Gwen's boyfriend was made up, but Katie, who was practically inseparable from Gwen, knew the inside story, because she had seen Gwen looking at her mobile phone with a smile on her face several times.

Katie could guarantee that she only made that kind of expression when chatting with someone she liked.

"Sort of. We went on a date yesterday," Gwen said with a smile, her tone unintentionally carrying a hint of boastfulness.

"That's nice," Katie said, pouting enviously, then consciously changed the topic.

"Oh, by the way, Gwen, did you hear? Last night, Xue Xi encountered a terrorist attack during her concert at Stark Stadium."

"Really?" Gwen feigned surprise, but couldn't help but think to herself, 'More than just heard, I was there last night. Not only that, but it was my boyfriend and I who defeated the terrorists.'

"Of course it's true. Tony Stark himself posted about it on Twitter." Katie's expression was exaggerated, as if she had been there herself. "He said that a group of terrorists tried to capture him, but their plan failed. Two new masked vigilantes appeared and cooperated with him to drive the terrorists away."

"Looks like rich people don't have it easy either," Gwen, the hidden rich girl, remarked.

"Luckily, Xue Xi herself wasn't hurt," Katie said, clasping her hands together. "I just wonder if it'll affect her transfer school. But thinking about it, if the first thing I experienced upon arriving in a nation was a terrorist attack, I might never come back to that nation."

"Damn terrorists," Katie said indignantly.

*Smack!*

A sharp *smack* echoed, followed by the sound of paper scattering. A man in a yellow shirt, with one arm in a plaster cast, stood in the center of the room. Around him, papers were scattered on the ground and still falling.

"I've told you this so many times, George!" A middle-aged man in a lab coat walked out from behind his office desk, straight up to the yellow-shirted man, and poked him in the shoulder with his finger.

"We at AIM have a much grander goal than just being a violent gang for you to take out your anger on. I know you have a personal grudge with Howard Stark, but you shouldn't impose your personal grudge on the organization."

"Tell me, just how much loss have you caused the organization this time?" The middle-aged man's saliva flew as he glared at his subordinate through gritted teeth.

"Two whole 'Coconut Crabs', two whole units! The organization just finished research and development, and we only had five in inventory. And you just destroyed two of them in one go!"

Chapter 423 A.I.M

"If you had really brought Tony Stark back to me, I wouldn't say anything."

The middle-aged man walked back to the office desk, picked up the cup on the desk and took a sip of water, then suddenly jumped up and threw the cup at George, but unfortunately, his aim was poor and it hit the door frame behind George.

"But you failed! You lost five combatants, two well-trained pilots, and two 'Coconut Crab' mecha. These are nothing, do you know what the most crucial thing is?"

George remained silent, only lowering his head to be scolded, but this submissive appearance made the middle-aged man even angrier.

"It's TMD letting the clients know about the terrible performance of our A.I.M. scientific research results!" The middle-aged man slammed the desk hard. "Even if Howard Stark dismantled our mecha, it wouldn't be this bad, but an unknown nobody who popped out of nowhere can solve our product so easily, how do you think we can get research funding in the future! Have you ever thought about it!"

Looking at the silent George, the middle-aged man snorted coldly, returned to the office desk, took out a file from the drawer and threw it at George's feet.

"I am a person who cherishes talent, George, otherwise I wouldn't have tolerated your failures so many times. Now I will give you one last opportunity to assist in the development of our latest plan."

George heard this, bent down and picked up the file on the ground, but didn't dare to flip through it, just held it in his hand, but he still saw the title of the file.

"M.O.D.O.K."

A string of letter abbreviations, even if George is smart, it is impossible to guess the specific meaning of a string of abbreviations without prompts. He can only patiently listen to the leader's nagging, and wait until he leaves to read it carefully.

The middle-aged man scolded George for another five minutes before letting George go, waving his hand to let him get out of here quickly, so as not to be an eyesore here.

George respectfully saluted before turning around to leave, but before his hand could reach the door handle, a knock on the door rang first.

"Please come in." The middle-aged man said loudly.

"Click."

The door opened from the outside, and a young researcher walked in, holding several files in his hand. He was about to speak when he saw George standing aside, and immediately closed his mouth.

George saw this and wisely gave way. After the researcher walked in, he walked out of the room, and closed the door behind him when he left.

"What's wrong?" the middle-aged man asked.

"No, nothing, sir." The researcher shook his head, took two quick steps and handed the file to the middle-aged man for inspection. After the other party's tightly frowned brow relaxed, he asked.

"Was George holding the "M.O.D.O.K." plan just now?"

"Yes." The middle-aged man put down the file he had finished checking. "George, ha! I initially thought he was a talent, but I was wrong. Those who cannot create value are mediocre. Since he has already made the organization pay so much, it's time for him to repay the organization."

"I heard that the success rate of "M.O.D.O.K." is not high, aren't you afraid of his failure?" the researcher asked.

"If he fails, it proves that he is just garbage, just throw him into the trash can." The middle-aged man's expression was calm, as if he was not discussing a person's life, but a piece of household waste.

"Happy Uncle! Happy Uncle!"

Yang Le straightened up and saw Li Qianhuan running towards him. The other party's noisy appearance made him think of his niece from his original world, but Yang Le's niece was only seven years old, while Qian Huan is now sixteen years old.

"What's wrong again, Qian Huan?" Yang Le reached out and picked a few strawberries, and handed them to Li Qianhuan who stopped in front of him, panting.

Living with the mutants for several months, Yang Le, in addition to crops as staple food or side dish, the development of fruit is also remarkable. It has developed from the initial apple tree to the current strawberries, bananas, oranges and other fruits.

He even cultivated coffee tree and cacao tree, which means that the mutants can drink mellow coffee and eat sweet chocolate, and the quality of life has been improved once again.

The successful cultivation of these things has led to a sharp increase in Yang Le's popularity on the island, second only to Magneto, who is the principal and leader.

"Oh, thank you." Qian Huan took the strawberries Yang Le handed her. Although there were only three, each piece of flesh was plump and looked as big as a goose egg, and it was very attractive with its red color.

Because these are all cultivated by Yang Le using ability, there is no need to use pesticides at all. Qian Huan just wiped off the floating soil on it and took a bite. The juice burst instantly and filled her mouth.

"Mmm! So sweet!" Qian Huan showed a happy smile. If she could eat fruits and vegetables of this quality every day, then being a mutant wouldn't be so bad.

When she first learned that she was a mutant, Qian Huan was in despair. In this information age, everyone knows how mutants would be treated. In order not to die in the hands of others, Qian Huan cheered up and secretly came to New York City, and with Scott's help, boarded Mutant Island.

At first, Qian Huan was very unaccustomed to this kind of life of not having enough to eat or wear warmly, but after Jean Grey's enlightenment, she also figured it out, and re-bloomed her smile, but it was just a forced smile. Fortunately, there were friends of the same age supporting each other, otherwise she might have collapsed long ago.

Until Yang Le came to the island, and material life was finally satisfied, Qian Huan was truly happy. After all, people take flesh as heaven, how can you be happy if you can't even eat enough?

"Seeing you so anxious, is there anything wrong, Qian Huan?" Yang Le waited for the girl to finish eating a strawberry before asking.

After asking, Yang Le was a little dazed. He always felt that he had seen this scene before. It seemed that when he was a child and returned to the village, his grandfather also picked cucumbers from the field for him to eat like this.

"It's the principal and the others who asked me to call you." Qian Huan swallowed the flesh in her mouth, and slightly red juice dripped from the corner of mouth. Yang Le wiped the juice from the corner of mouth for Qian Huan with the mood of taking care of his granddaughter, making Qian Huan blush.

"To, in short!" Qian Huan put the strawberries in her pocket, went around behind Yang Le and pushed him shyly and angrily. "You should go to the dining hall to have a look, lest John always says that I only know how to eat and do nothing. If there is a next time, they should not let me call you, and then it should be replaced by Kurt!"

"Okay, okay, okay." Yang Le nodded kindly, letting Qian Huan push him. If Yang Le wanted to, the weak Qian Huan would not be able to push Swampfire who can wrestle with Spider-Man.

In order to save time, Yang Le burrowed into the mud. Although Swampfire is not known for speed, the speed of traveling in the mud is actually not slow, probably comparable to ordinary car.

A few minutes later, Yang Le stopped in front of the dining hall in the village, and grew out like a sprouting tree seedling. After politely knocking on the door, he reached out and pushed the door.

Chapter 424 Meeting

Yang Le pushed open the door and entered. The first thing he saw was the tall Colossus Piotr, who was currently discussing something with Scott and other teachers in front of him. Perhaps because they heard the sudden knock on the door, the entire room fell silent.

Seeing everyone look at him, Yang Le maintained his naive persona, scratching his head as he said, "Looks like I've come at a bad time."

"No, you've come at just the right time, Happy." Magneto smiled, extending his right hand and gesturing for Yang Le to come closer. Yang Le didn't refuse and walked over.

"Principal, has something happened?" Yang Le asked.

Cyclops Scott, Gambit Remy, Jean, Mystique, Beast Hank, Storm who had just been rescued a few months prior, and himself – all the Academy's faculty and staff were gathered here. It seemed like there was something important to discuss.

"It's news about our compatriot." With a casual wave, Magneto summoned a chair with a gesture, and it floated over, stopping right in front of Yang Le. "Scott can tell us the specifics."

Most mutants were in dire straits. Although Magneto had publicly established the shelter Floating Island for all mutants, many were still cut off from information and unaware of its existence.

This was because they lacked access to information. Mobile phone, computer, television – these commonplace sources of information in the modern world were unattainable for most mutants. They could only rely on scavenging old newspapers for news.

Furthermore, many mutants had not received education and were illiterate, unable to even read newspapers. Consequently, many mutants were like people from ancient times, relying solely on word-of-mouth to learn about events in society.

Due to this phenomenon, Magneto had assigned Scott and Beast Hank a mission: to monitor the network in their free time for news about wandering mutants.

Many cynical teenagers enjoyed posting videos mocking homeless individuals on Twitter or Instagram, and mutants, seen as a modern scourge, were naturally among those ridiculed.

These punks would stalk, attack, and even harass mutants for their own purposes. People shouldn't assume all mutants were powerful; some weaker mutants could only resign themselves when confronted by mobs of ordinary people.

These bastards would upload videos of them bullying mutants online. These sensational videos would bring them notoriety, and some would even reward their despicable behavior with donations.

Scott and Hank's mission was to search for this relevant message, locate the places mentioned in these videos or messages, find the mutants there, and bring them to the Island.

The matter Scott was about to discuss today originated from precisely this.

"This morning, after finishing class with the children, I searched for news about mutants online as usual in the evening," Scott began, his brow furrowed, clearly recalling something unpleasant.

"I came across a live stream about mutants on a live streaming app."

Scott turned the tablet in his hand, facing the screen towards everyone, and continued, "The live stream has ended, and the live stream recording has been deleted by Platform Official, but Hank managed to recover the video."

Scott pressed play, but the video remained black. Just as Yang Le wondered if Scott had missed the play button, a set of large white teeth suddenly appeared on the screen without warning.

As the view zoomed out, Yang Le realized that the black kid had been pointing the camera directly at his mouth the entire time. If he hadn't smiled, Yang Le wouldn't have noticed.

"Hi, man!" the black kid suddenly said, opening his mouth. "I have a world-shocking discovery!"

The black kid slurred his words, and his dazed gaze made Yang Le suspect he was high.

"Neil, we discovered it together!" A sound came from off-screen, followed by several echoing voices, indicating there were others present.

"Okay, okay!" the black man called Neil reluctantly agreed, but quickly reverted to his foolish smile and continued.

"We've found a 'medicine' that's not illegal! Guess what, nigger? It comes from a mutant!"

As he spoke, the visuals shifted again. This time, he aimed the camera at someone huddled in a corner. Unfortunately, his mobile phone's garbage camera couldn't clearly capture the person's appearance. Yang Le could only roughly make out that it was a girl.

But there was no need to worry; Neil soon zoomed in the camera. Not only that, but he also reached out and grabbed the girl's pink hair, forcing her to look up. The girl's delicate face, filled with panicked emotion, appeared on the screen.

Watching the tearful girl, Yang Le heard a breeze stir beside him. Glancing sideways, he saw that Storm, sitting next to him, was filled with anger. The breeze ruffled her silver long hair, and cyan energy welled up in her eyes.

Storm, who had been subjected to long-term experiment and imprisonment, already harbored deep hatred for human. Yang Le had no doubt that if she were there, she would strike those addict dead. But they were on Floating Island now, and she couldn't be allowed to lash out indiscriminately, lest she harm their own people.

Yang Le transformed his arm into a flower cluster composed of various fresh flowers, and gently extended it towards Storm. Storm, consumed by rage, was taken aback by the sudden appearance of fresh flowers. Following the stem, she realized Yang Le had created them.

"Peaceful, Ororo," Yang Le said in Swampfire's somewhat simple voice, lacking a nose, yet sounding strangely wise. "You shouldn't succumb to rage. That's not you."

The rich fragrance permeated Storm's nose. Yang Le had carefully selected these flowers; they didn't clash but complemented each other, like perfume, layer upon layer, even possessing a calming effect.

The furious Storm snapped out of her rage, reached out, and plucked the bouquet of flowers from Yang Le's arm. After a moment of silence, she spoke.

"Thank you, Swampfire. I'm alright now."

"Just like my name," Yang Le quipped. The tense atmosphere in the room finally eased, and the others also emerged from their anger.

However, Yang Le wouldn't reveal that he hadn't expected Storm to pluck his hand. This sudden action had caught him off guard. Fortunately, he reacted quickly and severed the stem, otherwise, wouldn't he have appeared petty?

If Gambit next door saw that, he might think I couldn't afford it! Grow a few more bouquets of flowers! One for everyone!

Chapter 425 Suspected Magik Girl

Jean couldn't help but smile. In the past few months, as a psychologist, she had conducted many treatments on Ororo. After all, the other party had not only been imprisoned for a long time and subjected to human experiments but also confined in a narrow space for a long time while suffering from claustrophobia.

Perhaps because she had been locked up for too long, Ororo had developed a considerable interest in plants. So, to stabilize Ororo's emotions, Jean asked Yang Le to prepare more plants for Ororo.

Yang Le naturally agreed. For him, it was as easy as moving a finger. He even created a sea of flowers during this time. Now, not to mention Ororo, all the mutants on the island loved that sea of flowers. They would basically take a stroll there whenever they had free time.

The sea of flowers even became a dating spot for young men and women on the island. Jean and Scott really liked to wander there, and they even caught many pairs of students.

The interesting part came. Because this sea of flowers was created by Yang Le after hearing that Ororo liked flowers, many mutants were spreading the rumor that Yang Le actually liked Ororo. This even reached Ororo's own ear.

However, Ororo herself had no response. She just went to the sea of flowers more frequently, almost going whenever she had free time.

As for Yang Le, the other protagonist of the rumor, he was completely unaware of this matter. Because Yang Le spent his entire day in his own little world, pondering various crops, he rarely interacted with other people on the island.

The people Yang Le had the most contact with, besides the faculty and staff, were only Li Qianhuan, who often ran over to steal food. And these people naturally wouldn't tell Yang Le the rumor. So, the matter of Yang Le liking Ororo was known to almost all mutants on the island, except for Yang Le himself.

Including Magneto.

"Then I'll continue." Scott, seeing that Yang Le had calmed Ororo down, resumed playing the live stream recording.

"This thing's ability is to release a powder that can get people high as the sky." The black boy Neil continued to mutter. "This thing is not only legal, but its effect is also very amazing. My God, after taking that stuff, no other medicine can catch my eye anymore."

"We are in Hell's Kitchen!" Neil suddenly became excited and shouted. "Only ten U.S. dollars for five grams! If you want some, come to Hell's Kitchen and find me!"

Immediately following was a bunch of meaningless roars. Outside the visuals, his partner seemed to be echoing him. For a moment, Yang Le even thought he was watching a documentary about chimpanzees.

"Boom!"

A loud sound came from the tablet. Just as Yang Le thought that these addicts had taken drugs and fried their brains, causing them to ignite gas, sound came from the tablet again.

First, there were the screams of Neil and his partner. Then, there was a clear and cold girl's voice.

"A bunch of vermin! Compared to you, even the imps of Hell are more noble!"

Immediately following was the sound of smashing and banging, along with screams of fear. After a period of shifting, the visuals remained locked in one place, as if the person originally holding it had discarded it in panic. After a while, it finally quieted down.

"Are you alright?"

The girl's voice from before sounded again, but compared to before, it was less indifferent and more gentle.

"I have already punished them. Now, no one can damage you anymore."

"Let's leave here first."

The girl's voice continued in monologue for a long time. After a rustling sound, the visuals finally changed again. Two figures appeared in the frame. One of them was trembling all over. Judging by her hair color, she should be the mutant who was previously huddled in the corner.

And the other one, supporting her, who was slightly taller, should be the owner of the girl's voice. Even in such rough picture quality, her golden long hair still shone brightly.

Suddenly, the other party seemed to notice that someone was spying on her. The tall female suddenly turned her head and was captured by the lens lying on the ground. Although it was a bit blurry, her beauty could still be seen.

Seeing this appearance, Yang Le couldn't help but feel a little familiar. He felt like he had seen her somewhere before. And the video stopped exactly at this time.

"Next, I will explain in detail." Scott zoomed in on the female's photo and continued to speak.

"Originally, this was just an ordinary rescue interaction. But after I gave this video to Piotr, he said that the girl in this video was very similar to his long-lost younger sister."

'That's right!' Yang Le nodded vigorously in his heart. Wasn't the girl in this video somewhat similar to Magik he had seen in the Franklin Universe? Before, because the visuals were too blurry, he hadn't been able to recognize it immediately. But after Scott's reminder, he immediately realized it.

"I'm not very sure either," Piotr said in a deep voice. "Illyana and I have been separated for many years, but for some reason, my heart tells me that girl is my younger sister."

While Piotr was speaking, he kept stroking a mottled gadget in his hand. Yang Le focused his eyes and finally recognized that it was a pendant. Inside the oval little box was a yellowed photo, in which a photo of a little girl could barely be seen.

"Wouldn't we know if we go take a look?" Yang Le stood up and patted Piotr's shoulder. The sound of wood and metal colliding made a 'bang bang bang' noise.

"Yes, sir." Piotr gently grasped the pendant in his hand, his all-metal eyes gradually becoming firm. "Even if she is not my younger sister, she is also our compatriot, and she needs our help right now."

Steady and resolute, perhaps this was why Piotr was the only student who could participate in mutant rescue team missions. Although they were only some simple peripheral missions, the adults were all cultivating him. Scott was even cultivating him according to the standards of a successor.

"The problem lies here." Scott's expression was more serious than ever before. He operated on the tablet again and finally brought up a piece of news.

"Just recently, news reported the situation of those addicts. In Hell's Kitchen, six black men were killed in their home. The commotion was too big. A big hole was broken in the wall. The police, based on the live stream and intelligence from surrounding residents, released this statement."

"Suspected mutants attacked and killed six black people. Now they are fleeing. Please residents take care of your own safety and try not to go out. Once you find people with similar characteristics, please call the police immediately."

Scott put down the tablet and continued, "Not only that, because there were too many deaths, many superheroes have also set their sights on our two compatriots. They will not stand on our side. So, this mission, we are very likely to have a head-on confrontation with those masked vigilantes."
