"Asher Land, can you give me just a bit of personal space? Right now, I just want to be alone," she said to him in a somewhat pleading tone.
"No," he answered with unusual certainty, his tone even a bit arrogant. "You are my woman, so I will take care of you."
"I am not your woman, at least not willingly. It's you who forced me!" She wasn't crazy, she couldn't possibly volunteer for that.
"Shut your mouth." Asher Land clearly didn't want to hear her say such things. His fists were clenched tightly, veins bulging on his forehead, wishing he could strangle her on the spot.
"My mouth is on my body, if you can't stand it, if you can't stand it, then just kick me out." The determination in her eyes infuriated him to no end. He raised his hand, and Sophie Smith lifted her head in response, closing her eyes.
But the anticipated slap did not land on her face. His hand stopped mid-air, and in the end, he merely slammed it hard against the wall.
