Alexander Parker's smile vanished, his face full of guilt: "It's all my fault, I used to scare you, but I've been seriously taking medication recently, and I'm much better!"
Isabella Weaver didn't believe him at all!
"Really! Cousin, I've raised a few kittens recently, for a couple of months now, and they're all living well. I haven't killed them!"
"Hmm, okay."
Isabella Weaver lowered her head, hiding the sadness in her eyes.
Those kittens probably won't live for long either.
"Cousin, do you like me?" Alexander Parker held Isabella Weaver's hand, asking the question without any warning.
Isabella Weaver did not respond.
If she said she didn't like him, Alexander Parker would immediately become enraged.
If she said she liked him, Alexander Parker would definitely not believe her; his intelligence was high enough to easily tell if she was lying, making the consequences even more severe.
