Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Books and Teaching

[3rd POV]

Watching Daenerys and her advisors look through the books, she watched with amusement as the Mother of Dragon's eyes practically sparkled as she flipped through her various books on magic and magic, magic that she should be able to utilize, from what she could sense from the young woman.

Magic was quite literally in her blood, so she had some decent potential in it, especially blood magic and fire magic, both of them being more in tune with her thanks to her having dragon blood running through her.

She noticed the wary glances of the advisors, Missandei, Grey Worm, and Barristan Selmy, but she opted to ignore them as they were of little importance to her, at least, for now they were.

Eventually the group of four had finished their browsing, as they walked over with a small stack of 8 books, each of them being on dragons, fire magic, and blood magic. Smart choices for a Targaryen, that's for sure. She noticed Barristan and Grey Worm slip out of the shop, causing her to hum, realizing she might be getting some books out of this afterall, much to her own glee.

"So, how will you be paying, Queen Daenerys?" Wanda asked, as Daenerys gained small smug smirk, as soon a few moments later, Barristan and Grey Worm walked in with what looked to be over 40 books, stacked in their hands and being balanced with some difficulty. The sight was...impressive, to be honest.

"...That is quite the selection you've got there" Wanda said honestly, looking them all over. Each of the books were different, and were on various topics, most of them in another language, likely Valyrian or something of the sort. There was books on history, geography, herbs and plants, and all sorts of other ones.

"Will this be enough for the books I have chosen?" Daenerys asked with a small smirk, upon noticing the way Wanda was looking over the stack.

"Hmm, it should be enough for all of them, as well as credit for four more books. Had any of these been magic books, it would have been worth a lot more. And before you say anything, books are considered cheap here in comparison to your world, so you'll have to get rarer books to really get my attention" Wanda replied, fighting off a grin at the way Daenerys faulted at those words.

She knew that Wanda had a lot of books, but to hear they were considered cheap to her was a shock, considering how expensive books were back in Westeros and Essos.

"These are the rarest books we have on hand, and you deem them as cheap?"

"I didn't say your books were cheap. I simply said that the books in this shop are considered cheap in comparison to your world, meaning that your books aren't worth as much to me as they are in your world" Wanda said, rolling her eyes at the words of Barrstan Selmy, but not getting angry with him, as he knew little of her world and the difference between the two of them.

"That is alright, Lady Maximoff. The credit is more than enough for me. We must be off now, a lot to do, as I am sure you understand. But please do think about the offer I had made" Daenerys said in somewhat of a rush, after realizing she had been in the shop for a while, that and she could already see that Barristan and the others were beginning to grow irate with Wanda, and that wouldn't end well for any of them.

"Well, thank you for shopping with me, Daenerys. Do come back again" Wanda said, as she watched in amusement as they practically raced out of the shop with her books, trying their best to look regal, even though it was quite obvious that Daenerys was rushing them out.

As they left, Wanda chuckled.

'I'll look forward to our next intersection, little Targaryen'

Sitting in her living room, Wanda was watching as Raven levitated objects in front of her, concentrating as she used her power to levitate objects that weighed several tons, despite being only the size of an apple. She had been focusing on this aspect of her powers for the past few days, and had been progressing well, even by Wanda's standards.

"You're doing well, Raven. But you need to not strain yourself so much. Being calm and relaxed is a big part of magic, especially telekinetic magic, and it will be important that you begin to meditate regularly in order to keep your power under control" Wanda explained, as the woman nodded slowly.

"Do you meditate?" Raven asked, as Wanda chuckled and shook her head.

"No Raven. My magic is...not nearly as dependent on things like "Control" its pure chaos given form, and the rules do not apply to it. I did at one point in the long past, but I've gained enough knowledge and control over it to never have to do it again. That is something that you too can do should you continue how you are" Wanda replied, as her chaos magic was...definitely not normal. And thanks to her having the powers of Tim Hunter and Wiccan on top of that, she wasn't bound by the same rules and regulations as...well anyone else.

That, and she had thousands of years of experience and knowledge within her skull, that was constantly expanding with every new book she gathered and every new customer she had gotten.

"Chaos? Isn't that...dark? Evil?" Raven questioned, as she hadn't really wondered about what magic Wanda actually utilized until now.

"It can be. But magic is all about intent and how you use it. The Lords of Chaos use Chaos magic for evil and bad, and thus, it's evil. I use it however I wish, doing whatever I want, whenever I want, more chaotic than them, but without the unnecessary evil acts that they're committing. I could be evil like them, I could do things that make your father look like a tiny worm beneath my boot, but I'd never do that" Wanda responded. Raven furrowed her eyebrows at the response.

"Why?"

"Because all I want is to run my bookstore, read, and enjoy my life. There's a reason why I haven't done anything to the League even after they are searching for me. It's because they can't do anything to me should they even find me. Something that I haven't realized until recently. Turns out I'm quite a lot stronger than I had initially believed" Wanda responded.

"So you'll let them try and attack you?"

"Hmm? No. I am still proud of the power I've got, Raven. No, if they try anything, I'm not opposed to putting them in their place and making them understand the difference between me and them. Think of it like this. They're small ants, and I'm a God. Why would a God ever care for the actions of an ant when they could crush it whenever they wish, no matter how hard they try, no matter what they do?" Wanda asked, causing Raven to go silent for a few moments, before nodding slowly in understanding.

"So you're saying that they're so weak that you genuinely don't care what they're doing, as long as it does not harm your shop, and they don't push it" Raven answered. Wanda nodded with a small smile, as that was exactly it.

She really didn't care about the League, not anymore. Not after she casually made pocket universes for her garden, or a pocket reality just so she could see what a supernova looks like in person. She could make an entire multiverse in her hand with a flex of her power, and the old her really thought she needed to be wary of the League.

"The only person in the current League that is at all a threat to me, is that Lord of Order, Doctor Fate or Nabu. But he won't act against me, that much I am certain. Not after he realizes that I utilize Order Magic just as much as I do Chaos magic. I'm basically order beyond order, a perfect union of Order and Chaos given form. Perhaps one of those speedsters could be annoying, but I could likely just gain access to the speed force whenever I wish, should that be a problem" Wanda said.

She remembered the formula for the speed force, meaning all she'd have to do is say the words and she'd have it. And she'd likely be far faster than the flash is, far far far faster. Perhaps if he got to his levels in the comics he'd be a problem, but the current, younger him, is not at the level of outrunning the speed force itself, outrunning time, death, space, and everything else. That was a level of speed that even she'd have to be wary of, but that wouldn't come for a long long time, that's for sure.

Glancing at the time, Wanda got to her feet.

"Now! Time to go and watch a movie, as even we magic users need our breaks, alright?" Wanda said, as Raven nodded slowly, also getting to their feet as they watched the movies in the theater that Wanda had made, it was an enjoyable experience whenever they did that, and Raven very much enjoyed it.

As they began to make their way to the theater room, Wanda smiled, one thought on her mind as she walked.

'...Who knew teaching was so fun?'
