Chapter 79 - Liam get caught

The principal's brows arched in surprise as he spotted Freddie, gun in hand, pointing it at Liam. The unexpected turn of events prompted the principal to question Freddie's actions.

"What are you doing?" the principal uttered, his voice tinged with both surprise and concern.

Freddie, unwavering, answered without shifting his gaze from Liam's back, "We need to talk to him. Please move aside."

As Liam turned back, locking eyes with Freddie, the tension in the air became palpable. The exchange of glances spoke volumes, each party assessing the other's motives and intentions.

"What is it, sir?" Liam inquired, adopting an air of innocence.

"Who is he? Is this not a bit harassing?"

Liam, skilled in the art of provocation, aimed to shift the dynamics of the confrontation.

"I came here to donate, but I didn't know it would turn out like this."

The principal, attempting to defuse the situation, shook his head and approached with a nervous expression.

"No, Mr. Liam, you misunderstand me. It's nothing like that."

Desperation colored the principal's words as he looked towards Freddie, attempting to convey that the situation was not as it seemed.

"Mr. Freddie, you must misunderstand something. He is not the person you are thinking."

Freddie, gun still trained on Liam, maintained a stern expression.

"We're not thinking anything. We just want to talk to him, and then he can go," Freddie stated, attempting to defuse the tension with a reasonable approach.

Liam, however, maintained a stern look, locking eyes with Freddie. The standoff continued, the air thick with uncertainty as neither party seemed willing to back down.

In a sudden, unexpected move, Liam swiftly placed a gun behind the principal, his words carrying a chilling undertone, "You should not have done it."

Freddie, caught off guard by Liam's swift action, narrowed his eyes and shouted, "Let him go."

Liam, seemingly unfazed by Freddie's demand, taunted him with a sardonic smile, "It seems you are still having some lacking. If, in this way, you want to try to catch the criminal, you will never be successful."

Freddie tightened his jaw, realizing the gravity of his mistake. His eagerness to apprehend a potential threat had inadvertently put the principal in a precarious situation.

The consequences of his actions echoed in the charged atmosphere, and the realization that he had become the instrument of potential harm to an innocent man weighed heavily on Freddie's conscience.

The dangerous stalemate hung in the air, the balance of power shifting with each passing moment. Liam, with his experience and calculated moves, held the upper hand, while Freddie grappled with the repercussions of his impulsive actions.

The principal, caught in the middle of the confrontation, looked on with a mix of fear and confusion.

The school, once a bastion of education, had become a battleground for forces beyond its walls, and the outcome of this confrontation would shape its destiny.

Freddie, determined not to let the elusive criminal slip through his fingers, stood firm in his demand.

"Leave him, Liam!" he shouted, the urgency in his voice cutting through the tense atmosphere.

Liam, feeling the pressure and sensing the encroaching police force, gritted his teeth. In an act of defiance, he raised his gun and fired a shot into the sky. The loud sound echoed through the school campus, instantly turning it into chaos. Students flocked to the windows, their curious eyes trying to decipher the unfolding spectacle below.

The other police officers, surrounding Liam, reacted swiftly to the gunshot, their training kicking in. But Liam, seemingly unbothered, met their gaze without a trace of fear.

"If you don't let me go, then this campus will turn into a graveyard," Liam declared, his words carrying a chilling weight.

As the echoes of his ominous warning lingered in the air, an unexpected turn of events shocked everyone. Out of nowhere, a burst of flames erupted, landing on the head of one of the police officers. The sudden burst of fire sent shockwaves through the onlookers, adding a new layer of chaos to the already tense situation.

The flames danced in the air, casting an eerie glow over the scene. Panic ensued as the police officers scrambled to control the fire and protect themselves.

The school campus, once a symbol of education and order, had transformed into a battleground where the forces of law and organized crime clashed in a dangerous dance.

Freddie, caught off guard by the sudden eruption of flames, assessed the situation with a mix of shock and determination. The stakes had risen, and the threat of the situation spiraling out of control loomed over the school.

Amidst the chaos ignited by the sudden burst of flames, a symphony of gunshots erupted, creating a cacophony of sound that reverberated through the school grounds. Freddie, quick to react, found cover behind a tree, while Liam, with the principal in tow, sought refuge behind a building.

The exchange of gunfire was intense and chaotic, with both sides sustaining injuries in the crossfire. The school, once a place of learning and tranquility, had become a battleground where the clash of opposing forces played out in a dangerous dance.

As the desperate situation unfolded, the principal, caught in the crossfire, began pleading with Liam.

"Please leave me," he implored, the fear evident in his voice.

Liam narrowed his eyes and delivered a calculated response, "I won't hurt you if you let me go from here, principal. And don't forget, we donated a huge sum of money to this school."

Attempting to exploit the principal's emotions, Liam played a subtle mind game, intertwining the potential threat to the principal with the supposed generosity shown to the school.

Sensing the gravity of the situation, the principal, under the pressure of the ongoing chaos, finally relented and spoke, desperation evident in his voice, "There is a door from my room."

The revelation hinted at a hidden escape route, a doorway that could potentially offer an exit from the relentless gunfire and chaos outside. The principal, faced with the unrelenting storm of violence, made a choice that would determine not only his fate but also the course of events within the school.

Liam cracked a sinister smile as the principal led him through the school's backyard, the echoes of gunshots still reverberating in the distance. The chaos outside seemed to fade momentarily as they entered the principal's room, a deceptive calm settling within the confined space.

The principal, nervous but compliant, opened the door, revealing an empty room. He gestured for Liam to enter, and with a smirk, Liam walked towards the door. But in the blink of an eye, the atmosphere shifted once again.

As Liam reached out to twist the doorknob, he felt a sudden touch behind his head. Without hesitation, he reacted, swiftly turning around and firing his weapon. The bullet found its mark, hitting Lane in the chest. Lane, who had been pushed forward by Adam, crumpled to the ground, life extinguished in an instant.

Adam, quick and decisive, didn't stand idly by. He retaliated, shooting Liam in the hand and the left side of his belly. Liam, groaning in pain, staggered backward and collapsed onto the ground.

As the two adversaries faced each other in the aftermath of the sudden violence, Adam's eyes met Liam's. The weight of the moment hung heavily in the air, the room now a silent witness to the fatal clash of conflicting interests.

"You will be the evidence of Francisco now," Adam murmured, his words cutting through the silence. Liam, wounded and defeated, heard the proclamation before closing his eyes, surrendering to the inevitable.
