Isolde Dusk is an island, as expected.
But it's a moving island.
"Seven thousand acres," Miret had told them while grinning.
Although they understood the scale, they didn't quite understand how massive it was until they saw it. The island was big, and seeing it from above, it looked like a giant mechanical disfigured head.
Everything on the island was covered by a metal dome, every inch was covered by the black metal.
And then on the metal, etched into it, are runes that glowed softly, shining like countless crystals.
"Isolde Dusk!"
If they didn't understand what a prison island looked like before, they could understand now when they saw the Dome that seemed to stretch forever. Sometimes it was low and sometimes big, as if it was warping over a mountain.
They flew over it, and even from the ship, they felt the overpowering aura that rolled off it, the energy that seemed pointed and direct like the giant eye of a monster always turning to look their way.
