Damon pulled me closer in his arms and I shut my eyes tight. He muttered something in his sleep, his arms sprawled over me. I waited until his breathing was deep and even before turning to look at him.
His eyelashes draped over his eyes, they were long and full and I touched his face softly. He shifted gently but didn't wake up. I carefully removed his arm over me and
paused to check on him. I sighed in relief when I saw he was still fast asleep.
I checked the time on the bed stand. 9:37pm.
It was a twenty minute drive to Downtown Markne. I walked to the dresser and opened it. I grabbed my gun and hid it behind my back. I grabbed my knives and glanced back at Damon. He was still asleep.
