Rae had waited patiently for nightfall to pull off his little stunt.
He knew damn well Gear would be lurking around in the dark like some perverted tree goblin, so he had to put on a proper show.
Alice had woken up a couple of hours after Rae's "visit" to Gear, still dazed, confused, and, most importantly, thoroughly satisfied to her very core.
She'd thought Rae was curled up innocently in Melissa's tent as usual, but then he barged in at midnight, rain pouring off him like some depraved romance novel hero.
"Uh…um…so…"
She couldn't even look at him.
Her face burned hot as she tried to figure out which Rae she was dealing with.
Was this her sweet, bumbling Rae…or the other one?
The one who'd folded her in half and pounded her so hard she was pretty sure she'd glimpsed heaven and heard a choir.
The silence was thick enough to slice.
Then Rae tilted his head, blinking up at her with those big, innocent eyes.
"Whad, madame? Yu need domething?"
