ARIA POV
"Push!" Lucien pushed, gripping my hand as another contraction tore through me.
"I can't do this now!" I screamed, sweat pouring down my face. "The meeting—the alliance—"
"Forget the meeting," Kael said from my other side. "Having these babies safely is what matters."
But I knew better. Nothing would matter if we didn't stop Elira's plan. Not even my babies would have a chance.
"Get Elder Malin," I gasped between contractions. "She knows a way."
Jaxon ran from the room. Minutes later, he returned with our pack's oldest member. The white-haired woman took one look at me and nodded.
"Moon freeze," she said. "It will stop the birth for twelve hours. Enough time for your meeting."
"Is it safe?" Lucien asked, worry written on his face.
"For normal babies? No," Elder Malin responded. "For these three? Born of a triple mate bond, blessed by the Moon Goddess herself? Yes."
I didn't pause. "Do it."
