Hearing Gary's whiny voice, a black line flashed across Daisy's smooth forehead.
'This guy is too embarrassing, right?'
Compared to Green, she really wanted to throw this little brother away...
As real siblings, Daisy knew Gary's personality very well.
This guy was super tsundere in front of outsiders, but at home, he was always like this.
Whining, rolling around, using every trick in the book.
Only Green could barely keep this guy in check.
"Let's go look around somewhere else first, otherwise if Gary sees you at this timing, he might want to find a crack in the ground to crawl into."
Hearing Daisy's words, Axel decisively nodded his head.
With Gary's prideful personality, if Axel went over now, he really might learn a Ground-type move on the spot—Dig.
"Perfect, I also want to let my Pokémon relax a bit. Can I release them into this courtyard?", These past days they'd been on the ship, and Axel had mostly been busy clearing the Dream World.
Even if Gardevoir and Pheromosa didn't complain, Axel knew they must've been super bored during this time.
"Of course you can, this place was originally built by Grandpa as a Pokémon paradise," Daisy straightened the little suit she wore and gently nodded.
The neat action paired with her just-right makeup gave her the refined aura of a professional secretary.
"Even the Pokémon in town often come here to play. You don't have to worry at all."
"In that case, Gardevoir, Pheromosa, Duraludon, all come out!"
A flash of white light from the Pokéballs, and three very different Pokémon appeared at once.
Gardevoir, with waterfall-like pink long hair, emitting faint pink Fairy energy.
Pheromosa, tall and elegant, with a signature "disgusted with life" expression.
And Duraludon, who rolled out right after leaving the ball, then ran off chasing a Butterfree like mad.
"So pretty!", Daisy automatically ignored the little Duraludon, her eyes practically glued to Gardevoir and Pheromosa.
"Is that a shiny Gardevoir? And a shiny Pheromosa too?"
"Axel, don't tell me you're actually a professional Coordinator!"
"I'm not, I just..."
But Daisy acted like she couldn't hear Axel at all.
The noble lady-like aura from before disappeared instantly, her eyes sparkling with stars.
"I knew it! A handsome guy like you is definitely a Coordinator!"
Axel: "..."
'Sis, can you please not interrupt people when they're talking?'
'I just like pretty Pokémon, how did that turn into being a Coordinator?'
Daisy continued ignoring Axel's explanation, examining Gardevoir up close, "What color was your Gardevoir originally? Pink Gardevoirs are so rare!"
"Can I take a photo with her?"
"Wah wah wah, I'm so happy, I can see such a beautiful Gardevoir and such a graceful Pheromosa at the same time."
"Axel, can you settle down in Pallet Town?"
"I'll buy that villa next door for you, okay?"
Axel: "..."
"Stop messing around, sis. I really don't live off women."
Also...
"Daisy, you misunderstood, Gardevoir isn't a shiny. It's just that her control over Fairy energy is super strong, so she changed to this appearance upon evolving."
"Evolved straight into a shiny-looking form?", Daisy clasped her hands in front of her chest, looking at Axel with undisguised worship.
Her eyes rippled like water, ten times more moist than Lillie's.
If not for Gardevoir and Pheromosa holding onto his arms from both sides, Axel seriously suspected Daisy would've pounced on him without hesitation...
No wonder so many female students fall for their teachers, so academic prowess is really this attractive to them?
Daisy's voice continued, "No wonder Grandpa said a really strong Gardevoir Trainer was coming to the house recently. You're amazing."
"Have you thought about the interior design of the villa? I'll find people to do it for you, okay?"
"Don't be shy at all. On the path of a Coordinator, you're basically my senior!"
Axel: "..."
'Confirmed, she really is Gary's biological sister.'
'There's not a single normal person in the family!'
This selective hearing loss seems even harder to deal with than Gardevoir Queen Syndrome...
Thankfully, the time alone didn't last long, Gary's call came through.
["Axel, are you awake? I've already handled the Dragonite here."]
"Thanks, it must've been tough, right?"
["Not tough at all! I have super high status in our house,"] Gary's tone was prideful to the extreme.
Even without seeing him, Axel could already imagine him with both hands in his pockets.
["I've already discussed it with Dragonite, he's letting you take one of his offspring."]
["But which Dratini you impress is up to your own ability!"]
["Grandpa and I are here with Dragonite, just let Sis bring you over later."]
"Okay, I'll head over now," Axel hung up the phone and turned to look at Daisy.
"Miss Daisy, can you take me to Gary and Professor Oak now?"
This courtyard was way too big, after walking around a bit, Axel was completely lost.
"Of course, Senpai!", Soon, under Daisy's lead, Axel returned to near the courtyard exit, where Gary and Dragonite were.
Seeing the Pokémon around Axel, Professor Oak's eyes immediately flashed with disbelief.
"You're Axel? No wonder Gary holds you in such high regard."
As a Pokémon Professor, Professor Oak could tell at a glance that Gardevoir's aptitude had surpassed any Pokémon he'd ever seen.
That shiny Pheromosa next to her was the same.
Even the "weaker" Duraludon likely had an aptitude comparable to their own Dragonite.
"Hello, Professor Oak. I'm Axel from Aurient, Gary's classmate."
"Gary has really taken care of me during this time."
Axel wasn't lying, in fact, since the college entrance exams ended, Gary had shielded him from all the classroom drama.
("So what if I don't know history? My grandpa is Professor Oak!")
("So what if I got bad grades? I've been dating since I was ten, you guys jealous?")
("A bunch of trash, only Axel is worthy of being my rival!")
Situations like these were countless, his mouth basically blocked every class genius from showing off.
Hearing Axel's praise, Gary immediately revealed his signature nostrils-in-the-air expression, "Hahaha, it was nothing but a little hardship."
Professor Oak's mouth twitched. He had dedicated his life to academic research, and truly couldn't understand how he ended up raising such an unserious grandson.
But thankfully, at least his granddaughter Daisy was excellent.
She really had the demeanor of a proper young lady.
Thinking this, Professor Oak's mindset calmed again.
Just then, Daisy suddenly spoke up, "Axel-senpai praises too much. Being able to help you get this Dragonite is my little brother's honor!"
"These Dratini were just wasting their potential in Grandpa's yard."
"Only by your side can they find the meaning of their lives!"
Professor Oak: "???"
'Excuse me, didn't I just say you had the proper demeanor of a noble lady? How did you become a simp dog?'
