The policeman, Jacob, shot Adonis a stare.
"Does he speak for all of you?"
His tone deepened, turning his attention to Jayhan.
It took a while, but Jayhan finally uttered,
"I have no obligation to give anyone anything I have earned. Just like everyone here, I faced the quests the taskmaster gave us."
"I see…"
"But I will help out some other way…"
Hearing this, everyone immediately perked up their ears, waiting to hear what Jayhan would say next.
Slow and steady, Jayhan stood to his feet and pulled out a hand-drawn map.
Jacob was the only one close enough to see the drawing.
"A map?"
"Yes, this map has details of where the green zones are and paths to take to avoid monsters beyond your strength."
The policeman stretched his hand forward.
"May I?"
"I'm not stupid. The moment I hand it to you, you'll cram everything by heart."
"Oh, come on, that's not possible."
"Not for a cop…"
Jacob sighed, realizing Jayhan wasn't going to hand it to him, no matter what he said.
