The Grand Arena Awakens
Time: 4:00 PM.
Location: Heavens Arena, 205th Floor Arena.
"Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon!"
"Today's highly anticipated match features Ilumi Zoldyck versus Foxy Fischer!"
"The moment you've all been waiting for is about to begin!"
From the announcer's booth, a bubbly commentator with twin-tails stood up and waved enthusiastically at the roaring crowd.
"As you can see, the stands are completely packed!"
"For the past ten minutes before the match began, the atmosphere has been electric with excitement!"
Before the commentator could finish her sentence, impatient shouts erupted from the audience.
"Is it starting yet?!"
"Hurry up and get on with it!"
"We can't wait any longer!"
The seating capacity of the arena above the 200th floor of the Heavens Arena was 5,000 spectators—and every single seat was occupied. Fans had purchased tickets early after seeing the promotional material online and arrived hours in advance just to secure their spot for this event.
Thirty minutes after Ilumi registered, the Heavens Arena website had already updated its homepage with flashy advertisements promoting the match between Foxy Fischer and Ilumi Zoldyck. This was done not only to boost viewership but also to ensure maximum attendance.
Outside the Heavens Arena, in the bustling commercial district of the city, an enormous screen hung above the central plaza. On it were close-up images of both fighters: Ilumi wearing his red-and-white striped tracksuit, black hair neatly combed down, his gaze distant and aloof; and Foxy, sporting a spiky punk hairstyle, clad in a sleek black leather jacket, his expression cold and domineering.
A bolt of lightning digitally split the screen in half, each side displaying the respective records and names of the two combatants.
Crowds gathered around the plaza—some munching on snacks while sitting alone on benches, others playing with their children or friends—all eyes glued to the massive screen above.
Even in the skyscrapers surrounding the square, every billboard displayed live footage of the arena. Fashionable men and women passing by paused to watch as the commentator's voice filled the air with infectious enthusiasm.
Every single person stopped what they were doing to witness the spectacle.
Behind Closed Doors
At the Koser Group headquarters, Adkins Koser sat behind his desk, watching the same broadcast on his laptop.
"Ilumi Zoldyck… let's see what you're truly capable of."
Meanwhile, in one of the private restrooms designated for competitors on the 205th floor, Ilumi stood quietly by the window, observing the frenzied crowd through a one-way mirror. Thousands of fans screamed and cheered, their energy palpable even from within the confines of the room.
Suddenly, the bright lights of the arena dimmed, plunging the space into darkness.
"Oooohhh!!!"
Instead of dampening the mood, the sudden blackout only heightened the audience's excitement. The show was finally beginning, and the fighters would soon make their entrance.
"It's time."
Ilumi turned away from the window, hands casually stuffed into his pockets, and stepped out of the locker room.
Theatrics of the Arena
As Ilumi emerged onto the stage, towering flames erupted behind him with a thunderous roar.
"Clap, clap, clap..."
Spotlights flickered on, bathing him in alternating beams of light, while jets of smoke burst forth from beneath his feet, enveloping him in a dramatic haze.
"Here comes our first competitor!"
The commentator's voice rose with excitement as she watched the scene unfold.
"And now stepping into the arena is…"
As the smoke cleared, Ilumi came into view, standing tall in his red-and-white tracksuit, his expression blank and unreadable.
"ILUMI ZOLDYCK!!!"
"OOOH!!!"
"ILUMI! ILUMI! ILUMI!"
The crowd erupted into cheers, shouting his name with wild abandon. Some fans removed their jackets and twirled them feverishly in the air.
"At this moment, Ilumi holds no recorded victories on the 200th floor."
"BUT!"
"In the Heavens Arena overall, he boasts an undefeated streak of 16 wins and 0 losses!"
"Since his debut, every match has ended with a decisive knockout—a true legend in the making!"
Amidst the commentator's impassioned words, Ilumi calmly strode forward along the narrow path leading to the central ring.
"Ilumi~ Take him down quick like always!"
"I bet a month's salary on you—don't let me down!"
Just as Ilumi approached the ring, blue flames ignited from the opposite entrance. Smoke billowed upward, and spotlights converged once again.
"And now, entering with even greater fanfare…"
The crowd roared louder than ever as a figure clad in black leather and sporting a gravity-defying punk hairstyle stepped into view.
"FOXY FISCHER!!!"
Foxy marched toward the ring without so much as a glance at the audience, shrugging his shoulders and cracking his neck to loosen up.
"Two weeks ago, Foxy Fischer faced off against Reiman here on the 205th floor in a fierce battle to the death."
"That fight remains etched in everyone's memory even today."
"With a record of 3 wins and 0 losses, can Foxy defeat the undefeated Ilumi Zoldyck and extend his winning streak?"
"Or will Ilumi prove unstoppable once again, maintaining his flawless record?"
"Only time will tell!"
Under the blazing lights and amidst deafening cheers, both fighters ascended the ring.
All eyes were fixed on the two figures standing under the multicolored glow—one towering over the other, creating a stark visual contrast.
Standing at 180 cm, Foxy loomed over the diminutive 130-cm frame of Ilumi.
With a sharp snap, the colorful lights disappeared, and the arena lit up brightly once more. Simultaneously, the pathways leading back to the entrances sank into the ground, leaving the two combatants isolated in the center of the ring.
Ilumi stared blankly at Foxy, his aura surging outward like a flood before retracting, forming a thin transparent layer around his body.
"Coagulation."
Focusing his Nen, Ilumi channeled a portion of it into his eyes, allowing him to perceive Foxy's aura.
What he saw intrigued him: Foxy's aura was predominantly white and translucent, but interwoven within it were faint traces of black currents—something subtly different from anything Ilumi had encountered before.
