Breakfast time. In the dining room of the Zoldyck family castle, the entire family sat neatly at the dining table, eating.

"Urp..." Kikyo suddenly covered her mouth with her left hand, turned, and bent over, dry heaving. Illumi looked; she was probably pregnant.

"Mom is pregnant?" Illumi looked at Kikyo beside him, who was experiencing occasional morning sickness, blinked, and asked.

"Mm, your younger brother will be born in seven months." Silva looked at Kikyo. She was already three months pregnant. If all went well, she would give birth to another child next February.

"Have you thought of a name?" Grandfather Zeno Zoldyck put down his chopsticks and wiped his mouth with a napkin.

"Let's call him Milluki Zoldyck." Silva replied, then looked back at Illumi.

"Illumi, do you have any assignments coming up?"

Illumi, who was eating, gently shook his head, indicating he had no assignments. He had only been in the business for less than a week; no one would have contacted him yet. Simply put, apart from the Zoldyck family platform, he didn't even have a channel to earn money. Moreover, now wasn't the time to frequently take assignments; he needed to familiarize himself with the abilities he had just obtained.

"I have an assassination assignment here to go to Meteor City. Do you want to accept it?" Silva directly started talking about work at the dining table. Zeno, Illua,⁶ and Kikyo all focused their attention on Illumi.

"For the next six months, I will not be accepting any more assignments."

"I will use these six months to hone my strength." Illumi put down his chopsticks, wiped his mouth with a napkin, and looked at Silva as he replied.

"Is that so? I understand." Silva nodded. Seeing that Kikyo had also finished her breakfast, the two of them stood up and left together.

Zeno Zoldyck glanced at Illumi, said nothing, and left with his hands behind his back.

"Illumi, do you want to train with me?" Illua and Illumi jumped off their chairs together, the two walking side by side towards the main gate.

Outside, the weather was clear and bright. The warm morning sunlight Sprinkle on their bodies, making one feel as if reborn. King Bradley was already waiting outside the gate. Today, he was to embark on a long journey with Illumi for half a year of cultivation.

"No, my cultivation plan is different from yours." Illumi smiled and patted Illua's shoulder, then walked off into the distance with King Bradley, waving to Illua with his back turned.

"I'm off. Keep up the good work."

"Mm, I will." Illua's eyes were vacant as he nodded blankly, watching Illumi and King Bradley's retreating figures. Though his face was expressionless, his heart was filled with envy.

"Cultivating and traveling with a friend... I really want to do that too." Illua considered King Bradley to be Illumi's friend. For the first time in his heart, he felt a longing for something called friendship.

"But, forget it. My training isn't over yet." His internal monologue ended. Illua turned and walked with Gotoh and Tsubone towards the training grounds. Today, he was to spar with Gotoh, and if he won against Gotoh, he would also have to spar with Tsubone. When he met the Zoldyck family's standards, it would mean his training was over.

"Hohoho, Young Master Illua need not be envious. Your training is also nearing its end." Tsubone and Gotoh walked behind Illua, having witnessed the farewell scene between Illua and Illumi earlier. Although Illua showed nothing, Tsubone and Gotoh, who had been with him for years, still sensed his emotional fluctuations.

"I'm not envious. I just..." Illua walked with his head down, then looked up at the bright sky, his vacant eyes seeming to tremble slightly.

"Just want to kill people with him."

Tsubone and Gotoh's pupils simultaneously constricted. Illua, who had been normal just a moment before, now exuded a chilling, bone-deep killing intent. Though very faint, it was still astonishing, because Illua had never killed anyone since he was little.

The atmosphere among the three instantly turned cold. Drops of cold sweat trickled down Tsubone and Gotoh's heads.

"Originally, I thought Young Master Illua was just a bit naturally blank and had a deadpan face."

"But now it seems, he is an even more unfathomable existence than Young Master Illumi."

Tsubone and Gotoh followed behind Illua, maintaining the same pace, exchanging glances.

"Why have you stopped talking?" Illua suddenly spoke. Tsubone and Gotoh's eyes froze as they looked at Illua, who had his back to them.

"Young Master Illua, today, allow me to be your opponent." Tsubone suddenly said, slightly altering the original sparring order for the day, causing Illua to turn back "excitedly."

"Tsubone sparring with me? Does this mean I've made progress recently?"

"Alright, no problem."

While Illua, Tsubone, and Gotoh headed towards the training grounds, Illumi and King Bradley had already reached the edge of the Zoldyck family's active area.

"Young Master Illumi, good morning." A male butler with a small ponytail stood guard at the dilapidated fence gate, bowing and greeting Illumi.

"Mm." Illumi nodded lightly. Towards these butlers, his attitude was always neither cold nor intimate.

The ponytail butler looked intently at King Bradley passing by him. The aura on the other person was very normal; he should be the friend Young Master Illumi brought in last time. To be honest, the ponytail butler felt that assassins making friends was very inappropriate. Bonds, for an assassin, were more often a burden and a source of hesitation. Because of these things, an assassin's speed would slow, their strength would weaken, their will would soften, and their spirit would become fragile.

"Besides Grandpa, it seems no one can see through your true nature." Walking on the forest path, Illumi chuckled softly, turning back to look at King Bradley.

"Just some superficial people, not worth minding," King Bradley said gravely, looking down at Illumi. After their exchange, their bond had become closer. King Bradley began to prioritize Illumi, even walking slightly behind him.

"Let's get you a legal identity first." Illumi turned to look ahead; he could already see the shadow of the Testing Gate.

"After all, there are some things I need you to do."

"And a legal identity is a prerequisite for doing these things."

King Bradley didn't speak. He could vaguely guess what Illumi wanted him to do. After all, his talents extended far beyond just combat.

Illumi took out his phone and called his grandfather, Zeno Zoldyck.

"Grandpa, there's something I'd like to ask of you."

"A small matter. I just want to ask for your help in getting King Bradley a legal identity."

"I'll take care of the stone table matter. I'll definitely buy you an expensive one."
