Chapter 56: Super Namekian
"Honey, why isn't the Dragon Ball here?" Bulma asked in confusion.
After mastering the Fusion Technique from Wuxian, Li Xu didn't leave Planet Medama right away. Instead, he spent another month with Bulma exploring the planet's markets and marveling at its magical martial arts culture. They gathered more information, including space routes and galactic rumors, before setting off again.
Following over two months of interstellar travel, they finally arrived at the coordinates where the second Super Dragon Ball was located according to the system's previous scan. However, to their surprise, the massive golden sphere was nowhere to be seen.
"Hold on," Li Xu said calmly. He exited the ship using Instant Transmission, appearing in the void near a seemingly ordinary planet.

With a single punch, Li Xu shattered the outer crust of the "planet." A golden glow erupted as the rocky layers peeled away like an eggshell, revealing the gleaming golden surface beneath the second Super Dragon Ball.
"It's the second one!" Bulma shouted, her eyes shining with excitement. She hadn't expected the planet-like sphere to be another Super Dragon Ball.
Li Xu returned to the spaceship, smiling.
"You're amazing, honey!"
"It's your turn now," Li Xu said, already anticipating the process thanks to the knowledge gathered from the original Dragon Ball Super saga, where Super Shenron's spheres were scattered across Universes 6 and 7.
"Don't worry," Bulma replied confidently and immediately got to work. With her experience converting the first Super Dragon Ball into a Universal Capsule, the process went much smoother this time.
But just as she was putting on the finishing touches, a sudden disturbance occurred.
Li Xu was training in the gravity chamber, refining his control under 500 times Earth's gravity, when he abruptly sensed a surge of hostile ki signatures converging nearby. He left the chamber instantly.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Explosions rocked the ship. Its shielding system flickered under multiple strikes.
"Bulma, what's going on?" he asked, rushing into the control room.
"I don't know where this gang of space pirates came from, but they're after the Super Dragon Ball!" Bulma said with a frown. "They're not individually strong, but they've got numbers on their side."
"To think they'd dare target my Super Dragon Ball. Do they even know who they're dealing with?" Li Xu sneered.
In a flash, he appeared outside the ship in the vacuum of space, floating in front of dozens of enemy vessels.
"Surrender the orb, and maybe King Slug will let you crawl away alive!" one of the pirates barked arrogantly, invoking the name of the infamous Super Namekian warlord Slug, a powerful villain from the extended lore.
Boom!
Li Xu didn't respond with words. Instead, he launched a concentrated energy sphere, vaporizing the mouthy attacker and his hovercraft in one blast.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The rest retaliated, hurling energy volleys like a meteor storm. Li Xu weaved through the barrage effortlessly, using techniques refined from both Earth and Medama styles. In mere moments, he appeared before one of their larger ships.
Boom!
With a single kick, he sent the vessel hurtling into another, triggering a chain explosion.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Fireballs lit up the void. Against the dark canvas of space, the destruction resembled a firework show, beautiful yet deadly.
Li Xu moved again, striking down another flagship. With each explosion, the enemy's morale crumbled, their so-called invasion turning into a cosmic slaughter.
In no time at all, Li Xu had nearly obliterated the fleet of Universe pirates. Only a handful of enemies riding small escape pods and personal aircrafts remained, scattered and fleeing in panic.
But after witnessing the sheer force Li Xu displayed blowing up battleships with a kick and weaving through energy blasts like a phantom their instincts kicked in: run.
Li Xu, of course, had no intention of letting them escape so easily.
Shhh! Shhh!
He raised two fingers, releasing precise energy blasts that vaporized two of the fleeing enemies mid-flight. The last one, zigzagging through space in a desperate attempt to escape, was intercepted a second later by Li Xu using Instant Transmission.
"Please! Don't kill me! If you do, Lord Slug will destroy you!" the alien stammered, frozen in fear as Li Xu gripped his neck.
Of course, Li Xu recognized the name. As a long-time Dragon Ball fan, he knew of Slug—one of the Super Namekians, a rare mutation from the Namekian race known for immense power. But he didn't care.
"Where is Planet Slug?" Li Xu asked coldly, his eyes indifferent as the other man trembled.
"I'll tell you! Just don't kill"
"Never mind. I'll find it faster myself." Li Xu never liked bargaining with scum. With a snap, he crushed the man's neck and tossed the body into space like garbage.
After that, he vanished using Instant Transmission and reappeared in the spaceship.
"Bulma, can you locate Planet Slug?" he asked casually.
"I'll give it a shot." Bulma's fingers danced across the console. In just a few moments, the coordinates appeared on screen. "It's not far. If we travel by standard propulsion, we'll reach it in three days."
"No need for that. I'll go now and be back soon." Since Bulma was still working on compressing the second Super Dragon Ball into a Universal Capsule, Li Xu didn't take her along. Instead, he locked onto the energy signature in that region of the galaxy and disappeared.

Slug was born on Planet Namek long before it became the peaceful world we know. From the moment he hatched, his power level far surpassed any other warrior-class Namekian. He was a Super Namekian a rare and feared mutation with unnatural strength and an innate affinity for darkness.
When Namek's climate destabilized similar to the cataclysm that forced Kami and Piccolo to split his parents launched him into space, and he crash-landed on the barren world that would later bear his name: Planet Slug.
As a teen, Slug rampaged across the planet, conquering its native species with ease. He was ruthless even his own followers feared him. Those who failed or hesitated were instantly executed. Through years of conquest, he built an empire, and his power continued to grow alongside his malice.
He eventually declared himself Emperor of the Universe, mimicking the arrogance of Frieza and King Cold. His forces rampaged through multiple sectors, stealing resources, exterminating civilizations, and searching for sources of eternal youth and power.
On this particular day, Slug was seated alone in his throne room, reviewing reports from his galactic outposts, when a sudden figure appeared mid-air before him—Li Xu.
"Who dare!"
But Li Xu gave no reply. He lunged in with a fierce punch, catching Slug off guard.
Boom!
The strike sent the massive Namekian flying. He crashed through the throne room wall, debris exploding outward.
Bang!
His body hit the ground outside, forming a crater. Li Xu appeared above him a second later.
"Who the hell are you?" Slug growled, blood at the corner of his mouth. He couldn't fathom who would dare infiltrate his palace and attack without warning.
"Ask King Yemma yourself," Li Xu said flatly. Slug's ignorance only annoyed him.
"You bastard!" Slug shouted, rising with rage and unleashing a flurry of energy blasts and punches.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
They exchanged blows in mid-air. Despite Slug's legendary power and hardened combat experience, he was clearly outmatched. Li Xu dodged effortlessly, retaliating with superior speed and technique without even going Super Saiyan.
"You've gone senile," Li Xu said coolly, then slammed a punch into Slug's chest.
Boom!
The Super Namekian was sent flying again, crashing into the far canyon walls. The dust had barely settled, but the outcome was already clear: Slug, feared Emperor of the Universe, was completely outclassed.
