Considering Ah Man said Nobunaga was a "seasoned oddity" and had been under tight control for a long time, he was bound to be a bit of a rebel. Acting weak would be useless, so piquing his interest was the only way. That's why he started riffing on iron cannons.
And now it seemed to have worked out pretty well. As expected, Oda Nobunaga was really into these novel things, so Harano figured it probably wouldn't get too rough for him in a bit.
