Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Infrastructure Maniac!

Looking at the various power plants before him, Jiang Cheng carefully compared their respective advantages and, combined with the natural energy resources of Dream Paradise Resort, finally selected a few suitable power plants.

First, the tidal power plant.

Tidal power is another form of hydropower. It generates electricity by utilizing the movement of tidal water flow and the potential energy generated by the rise and fall of the sea level, offering advantages that other power plants cannot match.

Firstly, tidal energy is a clean energy source, with zero pollution, no submergence loss, and no impact on the ecological balance.

Secondly, tidal energy is reliable and stable. The tides rise and fall daily, endlessly providing an inexhaustible source.

Thirdly, the reservoir can be used to develop integrated projects like aquaculture and tourism, creating additional income.

The construction of a tidal power plant is suitable for areas rich in tidal energy, usually at river estuaries or in bays with a narrow sea surface.

In Dream Paradise Resort, there happens to be such a place rich in tidal energy—the Bai Gong River Estuary!

The Bai Gong River is the largest river on Jade Island, with abundant water volume. It originates from Weishan Lake south of Laputa City and flows directly into White Shark Bay in the northern part of Dream Paradise Resort.

White Shark Bay is a naturally inward-curving bay. By closing the bay's mouth, a large-capacity harbor reservoir can be created. The average tidal range at the bay's mouth is 3.2 meters, with a maximum of 5.1 meters, providing abundant tidal resources, fully meeting the conditions for building a small tidal power plant.

Ultimately, Jiang Cheng selected an intriguingly designed and beautifully painted tidal power plant from among the myriad choices in the construction store, as part of his preparations for future tourism development.

Investing in a tidal power plant is much more expensive than ordinary hydropower plants, so Jiang Cheng decided to develop its tourism value simultaneously, which would also earn some extra income to supplement the household expenses.

"Hmm... as the Great Island Master, I am indeed quite thrifty..."

While Jiang Cheng internally criticized himself, he pressed the "Build" button.

[Name]: Small Tidal Power Plant

[Specifications]: Tidal Barrage X3, Reservoir X2, Turbine Unit X12, Generator Unit X12, Other Supporting Mechanical and Electrical Facilities X1, Substation X1, Distribution Station X1, Annual Power Output 800 million kWh

[Area]: Land 0.2 square kilometers, Water Area 5.1 square kilometers

[Cost]: 3.64 million USD

[Time Required]: 4 days

A single tidal power plant is clearly insufficient to meet the electricity needs of the entire city.

Therefore, with a bold stroke of the pen, Jiang Cheng constructed two small wind power plants in Kite River Canyon near Six-finger Mountain, where the southeast monsoon from the Pacific Ocean prevails, and a small solar power plant in sunshine-rich Milo Bay.

The four power plants have an annual power output of up to 2 billion kWh, fully capable of meeting the initial electricity needs of the entire city.

After completing the construction of the power plants, Jiang Cheng rubbed his temples and let out a long sigh.

"This is really a tough task!"

Jiang Cheng smiled wryly without words.

Although the details of the construction were entirely handled by the system's high-tech, requiring only a click from Jiang Cheng, the task of site selection was both mentally taxing and labor-intensive.

At the same time as selecting sites, Jiang Cheng also had to oversee the entire process and consider financial issues, striving for perfection in every construction project.

The result, of course, was utter exhaustion...

Even though he felt miserably exhausted, after taking a short break, Jiang Cheng still forced himself to continue playing the role of the "Construction Maniac."

...

In Jiang Cheng's plan, the initial development of Dream Paradise Resort focuses on Dream Bay and Paradise Bay.

These two large bays are representatives of the breathtaking natural beauty of Dream Paradise and are the focal points of Jiang Cheng's development ambitions. Concerning these two attractions, Jiang Cheng could be described as ambitious.

He wants to take this opportunity to fully showcase the astonishing natural scenery of Dream Paradise to the world, establishing Jade Island's name internationally, recognized by everyone.

Jiang Cheng dared to think this way, of course, not without reason.

The natural scenery of these bays is magnificent and rare, deserving of all the beautiful praise.

Here, there are unique, fantastical sea waters, brilliantly colored and gorgeous beyond compare. Deep blue, light cyan, pale green, apricot yellow... a vast vista as far as the eye can see.

Here, there is a picturesque, beautiful trailing beach, long and soft, stretching like a tail to the edge of the horizon, finally merging with the azure sky—mysterious and ethereal.

Here, there are gorgeous lagoons hidden among palm groves, with crystal-clear water in a kaleidoscope of colors. The gentle waves shimmer brightly under the sunlight.

Here, there is an incomparable starry sky. When night falls, the entire sky seems like a piece of blue agate, deep and clear, countless stars sprinkling across the sky like diamonds, gradually unfolding like a scroll, soothing the soul.

Such stunning scenery is captivating even without embellishment.

Therefore, in developing the supporting facilities for the two bays, Jiang Cheng does not plan on extensive construction but aims to present the most primal beauty to all visitors.

And this requires him to plan carefully.

Jiang Cheng locked himself in a room for two whole days, meticulously browsing through the thousands of villa options in the villa store, engaging in a thorough DIY combination to eventually create 88 sea view villas harmoniously integrated with the natural environment.

These sea view villas, although not costly or luxurious, achieve perfect integration with nature.

Among them are palm villas hidden in dense woods, just a few steps from the beach. With spacious wooden sofas and lounge chairs, a semi-open-air bathroom, and an outdoor shower, they blend with the natural environment.

There are also beach villas by the sea, featuring a pebble path leading directly to the sea garden. Tourists staying here can sit indoors, enjoying the sea breeze and delicious snacks, while an 80-inch plasma TV and Bose surround sound system allow them to listen to the wonderful sounds of nature.

Additionally, there are the most primitive jungle cabins, equipped with a small umbrella, a deck chair, and a hidden wooden cabin, forming nature's purest palette.

All these, under Jiang Cheng's meticulous planning, are randomly placed in every corner of the two major bays to welcome future tourists.

After completing the villa construction, Jiang Cheng busied himself with developing other attractions around the two major bays, such as Palm Avenue, Ten-mile Silver Beach, Offshore Water Villas, the Grand Infinity Pool, an underwater sightseeing corridor, and more.

Additionally, there are some hotels, restaurants, bars, amusement parks, and other supporting life and recreational facilities.

It can be said that the Dream Paradise Bay, meticulously crafted by Jiang Cheng, is a modern paradise, allowing all visitors to enjoy the most genuine, primitive natural life.

Of course, the parts Jiang Cheng developed this time are just the most basic resort facilities. He has left large expanses of highly commercially valuable, awaiting further development, tourist and commercial areas around the two major bays.

It should be noted that his purpose in developing the resort is not only to attract tourists from around the world but, more importantly, to draw overseas investment companies.

As long as these investment companies see the commercial value of Jade Island, they will continuously pour in funds to build more hotels and recreational facilities, thus allowing Jiang Cheng to amass vast wealth.

These capital giants are Jiang Cheng's main targets!
