Alex
I entered the car, my heart tugged just by his sight. Enzo!
I thought he was missing and never to be seen again. What the heck had happened? Why was he here again?
The thoughts remained unanswered as the driver drove off the compound. My gaze flipped toward him, standing just by the entrance, a mix of emotions swirling in my mind.
I can't tell for sure how I felt, but the pain and emotions of seeing him again made my hands drop to my jaw frantically, my thoughts running in quick shots.
Something needed to be done, and pretty fast.
The driver pulled up at the venue, a suite I had asked him to book earlier on. The large edifices stretched out before me, but my mind had more pressing weight than to contain the magnificent view.
I had anticipated and prepared for this day to stay alone and reel my heart off the pressure and the hurt, away from everyone and everything.
This isn't how it was supposed to be. This isn't the plan I had before I married her.
