Eugene pulled a long face after getting a mini-heart attack when his foot slipped. He held Claude's arm tightly like a lost chick. "She better not. Someone had to carry me back up there."
Claude could only smile. He couldn't tell Eugene that even Len had invited him to the cottage. There was no way they would be alone with Courtney and her sisters. He just didn't want Eugene to know what Len thought of his attendance.
[Len: Claude, are you free tonight? I must have forgotten to remind you. We're holding the Full Moon Banquet tonight. Please come to the forest cottage. I promise you. There are no orgies.]
[Me: Courtney told me to show up. So this is what it is.]
[Me: Like discussed, I'll just drop by to see what this is about. Eugene wants to go.]
