Chapter 100 - Any Objections?

Li Qiao shot a cold glance at Luo Yu, not bothering to guess her thoughts. She simply leaned forward and opened the lunchbox.

"Let's eat."

Shang Yu uncrossed his long legs and took the chopsticks from her hand. The rich aroma of the three dishes and one soup quickly filled the office.

While they ate as if no one else were present, Liu Yun and Luo Yu stood silently at the side, waiting without a word.

Li Qiao was a picky eater—she even carefully picked out the chopped scallions used for seasoning.

"You don't like garlic sprouts?" Shang Yu noticed her avoiding the stir-fried garlic sprouts and couldn't help but smile.

Li Qiao nibbled on her chopsticks and nodded.

"They taste bad."

Luo Yu then watched in disbelief as Shang Yu moved the dish of garlic sprouts to his side, and meticulously picked out all the scallions from the cumin lamb before pushing the plate back to Li Qiao.

Luo Yu couldn't believe her eyes—and she couldn't accept what she saw.

He was Shang Yu of Nanyong.

The master of the underground syndicate.

A symbol of power worshipped by countless people.

And yet… he was lowering himself for a woman?

"Boss, let me—" Luo Yu stepped forward, frowning slightly, intending to help Li Qiao pick out the unwanted ingredients.

But just as the words left her lips, Shang Yu, leaning forward with one elbow on his knee, slowly lifted his head.

His tone was low and icy.

"Quiet."

Luo Yu froze. Her breath caught in her throat, and she lowered her eyes quickly, flustered and anxious.

Just who was this Miss Li… to be protected by the boss to this extent?

The meal lasted about twenty minutes. Li Qiao ate slowly, unhurried.

Maybe it was because Luo Yu and Liu Yun were standing right there, but her appetite wasn't great. She only finished a third of her rice before putting down her chopsticks.

"Full already?" Shang Yu picked up a piece of beef and placed it in her bowl, glancing at the faint impatience on her face with a doting tone.

Li Qiao nodded, but didn't say anything.

Shang Yu then set down his chopsticks as well and gave a subtle nod toward the water dispenser.

Liu Yun immediately turned and poured a glass of water.

"Miss Li, please have some water."

His formal and respectful demeanor made it even harder for Luo Yu to keep her composure.

She watched silently, feeling a fire burning uncontrollably inside her.

The four elite assistants of Yanhuang Group were supposed to serve only Shang Yu.

When had they started bowing and scraping to a young, green girl?

Just then, Shang Yu toyed with his teacup while watching Li Qiao drink. His thin lips curved slightly as he spoke in a seemingly casual tone that sounded more like a statement than a question.

"The file I gave you this morning—done translating?"

Li Qiao held the cup with both hands, sipping slowly. Upon hearing this, she put it down, stood up, and walked to her desk.

She picked up the folder and returned, handing it to him.

"I organized it according to the timeline. The translated section is at the back."

Shang Yu took the file and handed it straight to Luo Yu.

"Take a look."

Luo Yu was puzzled but still opened it and skimmed through.

It was the medical handbook from one of Yanhuang's pharmaceutical subsidiaries—three documents, nearly 200 pages.

The content was complete, clearly organized, and the translated portion at the end used professional medical terminology with remarkable precision.

Luo Yu gripped the file tightly.

"These… you translated all of this?"

Li Qiao tilted her head, giving her a sideways glance, her lips curling into a faintly mocking smile.

"That's right. Any objections?"

Her tone wasn't exactly friendly—in fact, there was a clear hint of provocation.

Luo Yu pressed her lips together, forced to lower her gaze.

"None at all. The translation is… excellent."

To be fair, even someone like her—who had lived abroad for years—might not have been able to deliver such an accurate translation of this medical manual
