I step inside the apartment, which feels old... and before I can even put my bag down, I hear someone's voice...
"Where have you been? There was no college trip. I already checked. Don't bother lying! I went to your college! Don't tell me you were with her again!" And Abby looked annoyed as always, but for some reason I just smiled when I saw her. She was so wrong, as always...
I walk past her to the couch and sit down casually, and without a second wasted, I speak: "I was out with friends, ok? It was not a college trip, but it was a trip, ok? Plus, what's the problem? Even if I was out with someone, why do you care? hmm?" And hearing me speak, Abby looked like she had eaten a raw chicken. Abby never expected Leo to just admit something like that!
"N-No way! You're a lying bastard. There is no way you have someone! No one will date someone like you! You're useless!" And Abby was looking down at me with disbelief in her eyes.
I speak in a smug tone: "What? You know I am handsome, right? No flexing, but it's pretty easy for me to get girls," and just as I say that, a pillow comes crashing down on my face. I barely dodge to the side and look at Abby like she was insane!
"Y- You have the guts to brag about something like that, you idiot! You have not been here for the past month, and this is what you say when you come back! admitting! your wrongdoings! bragging about them!" And all while Abby rants, she also tries to hit me with the pillow, and I just keep dodging with ease, but that only seems to make Abby even more annoyed!
"Hey now, I am not bragging, ok? You asked me a question, so I answered with another question and a little bit of a statement. It's not that crazy, Abby." And just then my back hit the wall behind me, and I was actually cornered?
"Ha, got you!" And just as Abby was about to slam the pillow on my face, I grabbed the pillow with my one hand and smiled at her and spoke, "Oh, Abby, you have grown weak! Have you not been eating ?" And Abby was even more annoyed and also a little stunned. Abby thought, 'Since when was this idiot so strong?'
"Shut up, idiot. I have been eating well! But what's it to you anyway! Jerk, you're not here to check up on me anyway..." And Abby's words actually were meant to be harsh but end up sounding just sad to me...
"Yeah? Well, good thing I'm here to check up on you from now on, idiot," and I let go of the pillow, and Abby almost falls down, and she looks at me in shock. And she speaks, "What? You will be here to check up on me? What does that mean? Will you be living here?" And Abby was clearly trying to act casually, but she was failing badly, which almost made me laugh...
"Yes, I'll be here, ok? From now on, you know I need to give my little sister a little bit more of my attention, right?" I speak in a teasing tone as I gently pat Abby's head, and for a second Abby is just standing there, but then she shakes her head fast and jumps back like she was hit by me or something!
"Shut up! You don't—you dare say creepy shit like that! Weirdo... I am cooking dinner today! ok!" And Abby, in a grumpy way, walks away to the kitchen...
Ah, that felt better... I was not acting like James Lee today... no, I was just me today... Playful, Teasing, and Wholesome... hmm? Wow, I never realized I was like that...
And while Leo realized new things about himself that he did not even realize in his past life... Abby, on the other hand, was ranting in the kitchen to herself about how stupid her brother was, but for some reason, when Abby thought about that head pat Leo gave her, she had a small smile on her lips...
I step inside my room, and wow, it's only been a few months since I left this place, but wow, it feels like years have gone by... Well, this place is not even dusty. Hmm, Abby must have kept it clean... that little idiot...
I sit down on the chair, which feels weirdly bad. I was too used to airplane seats and also my couch back at my house in the woods... Wait, I should call that house something... What about Base 1? Not that's boring. How about 'Wooden House'? Yeah, that sounds harmless...
"Hmm, I can't believe I am saying this, but I did somewhat miss this metal sofa. Ava, by the way, are you happy now? that I am doing human interaction again?" I speak in a casual tone out loud, and before a second goes by, I hear a voice I know from the metal sofa...
"Yes, sir, this is much better for your health. You're acting like yourself now, and also this has boosted your happiness levels. Sir, thank you for listening to me..." The voice was calm and robotic as always, but for some reason it sounded happier. Again, I don't remember coding stuff like that...
"Ah, whatever… Ava, could you catch me up on everything that has been going on in my college? By the way? Since I am going there, give me a report on everyone in my class." I speak in a casual tone, and just as I speak on my screen, which now feels small since I was used to looking at big screens back at the wooden house...
Hmm, oh, that's it? It's so boring... Well, for the studies, I can just use Gray Matter to learn everything and catch up on months' worth of studying in minutes... And the students? They were also boring, to say the least. The normal 2006 college, but bullying is much more extreme and normalized. Is this just the normal MCU college? Well, at least the bullying in the movies makes sense if bullying was so normalized in this world... Huh, this world itself is different from Earth, huh? It makes sense this world is filled with weird stuff... This should just be one of the side effects of that...
And as I casually look through the files of everyone in my college, I freeze because I see a name that I know... "Jessica Jones," oh my, yeah, I almost forgot about her... but that's weird. The last time I remember Jessica, she was supposed to be in Queens...
Huh, wait... I grab my bag and open it and grab my notebook, which I had made a long time ago, and open it and start to flip through the pages. This notebook should have all of my knowledge about the MCU. It was one of the first things I made with the help of Gray Matter...
Hmm, yes, this page is about jessica was in Queens her whole childhood, and, well, in 2005 her family ends up in a car crash, leaving Jessica alone... alive. But the thing is, Jessica should have died too, but she did not because of the IGH secret research laboratory and genetic technology clinic involved in covert and illegal human experimentation. Its name is a backronym for Industrial Garments & Handling, the cover for the operation...
Or, in other words, just another super soldier serum plan... but the problem is that even I don't know much about IGH. In the show, IGH was never explained, but it does shut down in, like, a few years or so? Another thing I have to check out...
But back to Jessica. Her story is just hell, to be honest. She got her superpowers because IGH experimented on the dying Jessica, and their objective was to bring Jessica back alive, and not only did it work, it also gave her superpowers, but what's the point? She is still just a girl who lost her family... She ends up getting adopted, but even in her new family, things are not great. Her stepsister is Trish Walker, who also becomes important in the next coming years...
Anyway, Jessica joins a college with Trish... and well, Trish finds out about Jessica's powers, and well, Trish, like the stupid young girl she is, makes Jessica go do superhero stuff, and well, after that, Jessica does actually try to act like a superhero... and well, that all ended when she meets Kilgrave... that guy...
Jessica Jones ends up being mind-controlled by Kilgrave, and pretty much Jessica becomes his sex slave... but after 8 months of hell, Jessica breaks away from Kilgrave, and, well, a while later, Jessica does end up killing Kilgrave... after becoming resilient to Kilgrave's mind control... but it does not stop there; things keep on getting worse. Jessica's life was in the dumps at this point; she opened her own detective agency and drank her life away till she found out about IGH... the place that gave her the curse... and, well, Jessica hunts down IGH, and you know what she finds? It turns out her mother, Alisa Jones, had also gone through the same experiment and was alive...
But Alisa was still kept in the IGH place or somewhere safe because Alisa ends up also getting anger problems because of her superpowers... but the crazy part is Alisa ends up marrying and falling for the man who saved her... Karl Malus, a doctor at IGH, or the guy who was pretty much in charge of everything in IGH. He was also the man who did the experiments on Jessica and her mother, giving them another chance at life…
And well, a lot more stuff happens, like Trish gets jealous of Jessica's superpowers and ends up kidnapping Karl Malus, and Trish ends up making Karl do the same experiments he did on Jessica and her mother... and then Trish kills Karl, and also Trish ends up killing Alisa... and well, Jessica ends her ties with Trish after that... what a fucked-up story...
At the end of Jessica's story, she was alone in a crappy apartment, drunk… Sure, she ends up joining the Defenders, but that does not really help Jessica in any other way. Maybe she felt a little better? knowing that she was not the only freak…
Anyway, right now Jessica must be entering college with Trish, since Jessica is in the Brooklyn college I also just happen to go to. I can pretty much change the story if I want... I can stop Kilgrave and stop Jessica's life from going into the dump...
But do I want to do that? This has nothing to do with me... Hmm, but Jessica, she has potential... Should I save Jessica? I would pretty much get a weaker Supergirl... plus she can also fly... even if she is bad at it, that's still useful; a person who can fly is really useful. Not only that, Jessica is also really strong; she has shown in the show to be somewhat stronger than Captain America… And to add on to that other than the IGH, no one knows about Jessica. That's funny because that one-eyed man would be so angry if he knew that there was a person like Jessica and he did not know about her...
Hmm, I tap my fingers on the metal chair's armrest, and just then, knock! Knock! There were a few knocks on my door, and Ava quickly turned off the TV in my room, and I stood up and walked to the door and opened it...
"Hey, idiot, come on, the dinner is ready."
I listen to Abby and follow her, and while eating dinner I keep thinking about Jessica... 'There is no need for me to do anything here; subordinates are important. I can't be everywhere at once, but Jessica is not worth the trouble... but am I being too cold? The right thing to do is to save Jessica...

But again, I am no hero; in fact, everything I have done in this world so far is just evil shit if you think about it. I entered an illegal fighting ring and almost won, got trained by an ex-Marine who should be dead and who is also a crazy killer, and then I went to another village outside this world, and I burned it to the ground and looted everything there, and then I went to take over a global spy and terrorist organization, and well, I took it over... Not only that, I also did a lot of illegal flying too with the help of Ava... making a fake identity and other stuff, also beating up thugs, human experiments...
