Chapter 45 - The Sky Breaks

Scene 1: Rooftop Lounge, Seoul – Jinwoo and Thomas Andre

The table was clear, the city glowing beneath them.

Thomas Andre sipped his drink slowly, then reached for the black case beside him.

He opened it.

Inside were two short daggers, the metal curved like a predator's tooth.Obsidian black. Veins of red etched through the surface.

Even resting, they radiated heat — not just physical warmth, but a pressure, a hum of something ancient and alive.

Jinwoo stared for only a moment.

"Kamish's Wrath," he said quietly.

Thomas nodded. "Forged from the dragon's fangs. They were made for me… but they'll suit you better."

"You're sure?"

"I don't give away power unless it's going somewhere stronger."

Jinwoo reached forward. The moment his fingers wrapped around the hilts, the aura shifted — just for a second. Like something sleeping had turned over.

He exhaled.

"They're perfect."

Thomas smiled.

"I don't envy what you're about to face, Jinwoo. But I respect how you're facing it."

Jinwoo looked out over the city.

And then the sky… cracked.

Scene 2: Above Seoul – Sky Tear

High above, without sound, the clouds split apart like someone unzipping the sky.

A vertical rift opened in the atmosphere — dark, spiraling, pulsing with incomprehensible pressure.

It wasn't just visual.

It was felt.

The air dropped ten degrees.

Birds scattered.Traffic froze.

People looked up.

And knew.

This wasn't a dungeon.

This was something else.

Scene 3: Ahjin Guild HQ – Deadpool, Wolverine, Lennart, Jinho

The elevator lights flickered.

Jinho looked up. "What was that?"

Deadpool's Nexus system blared.

Wolverine stiffened beside him.

Lennart stood fully upright, suddenly sharp-eyed.

"I felt that," Wolverine muttered. "Did you feel that?"

Deadpool stared at the system window, blinking rapidly.

"Okay… not gonna lie, that felt like a plot twist dropping from orbit."

He turned to the invisible camera again.

"Hey, Author? I thought we had like three more filler chapters before this."

Wolverine moved toward the glass window. Outside, people had already stopped moving. Everyone looking up. Everyone sensing it.

Deadpool muttered to himself, hands resting on his katanas.

"That wasn't a dungeon."

Lennart whispered without meaning to, voice tight.

"…That's something worse."

Jinho stared out the window, pale.

Deadpool grinned under the mask.

"Well, folks. Guess we're in the big leagues now."
