Chapter 10 - Metis

"First off, if we don't want any unforeseen incident to occur, we need to follow the original myths," Tartarus argued, but Hades cut him off as he said

"I don't care for that, but I can't let the original myths occur."

"Why? Please tell me it is something better than your ego," Tartarus said, narrowing his eyes at Hades.

"No, it is because I have plans. Things I plan to do, and they require me to be in a position where I can move freely." Hades said as he explained his ideas to Tartarus.

After a while}

Tartarus was looking at Hades with narrowed eyes before he sighed, "Fine, but I owe you 2 favors."

"Ok," Hades said

"Unconditional," Tartarus continued, to which Hades sighed before nodding his head. He got up and left the place under Tartarus's watch before he expanded into his true form, as he thought, 'Even the primordial goddess Nyx struggles to look at me in the eye with her normal form, but he was able to match my eye in his true form. He will be beneficial to my ascension.'

{With Hades}

He arrived shortly at the place where the Cyclops and Hecatonchires are still frozen in shock, their hands, legs, and heads were no longer bound by the chains. Even though it still hurts to stay in Tartarus, not as much as they were freed from suffering, Hades appeared under their surprised gazes and broke the silence, "Shall we go now?"

They were still shocked so much that they were unable to speak much but were able to nod their heads, as Hades covered them all in his divine energy, creating a spaceship of sorts before flying it full speed out of Tartarus. Nothing was touching them as they had Tartarus' permission to leave, finally, they escaped Tartarus as they fell on the fresh land. Cyclops and Hecatonchires were blinded by the light as they looked down from the light golden hue to look at the fresh land beneath them.

Hecatonchires, the emotional of the bunch, had already started to shed tears from their heads as they cried "Mother!"

"Hold on, brother, we are going to be there soon," the Cyclops said as Hades landed the plane before it disappeared into nothing. Immediately as they touched the land, the world shifted as they were in a cave, as Hades was able to see through the darkness, but still being under the earth was quite a weird experience. Gaia then appeared with tears in her eyes, looking at the two with much emotion in her eyes, which was reciprocated by them.

"Before you guys start your emotional reunion, can you send me up? I have something to do," Hades said, not wanting to watch the drama between them. Gaia did not say a word, but in the next second, he was teleported outside. Hades grumbled something about rude people before closing his eyes and spreading his divine sense. He was quickly able to catch the signature of Themis, as he flew there within seconds, as he appeared before the camp they set up on top of Olympus.

He took a detour to look at the garden of sunflowers at the bottom of Olympus, as some Nymphs were taking care of the garden. Looking at this, Hades smiled as he was worried that something might happen to the garden while he was gone, but, thankful to the Nymph who took care of it. He memorized her face and energy signature to keep in mind before he approached the top of the mountain, where tall walls reached the sky as he walked towards the wall.

"Hold, who are you?" One of the guards asked, looking at him while the other guard looked at him with curiosity, which quickly turned into shock and then fear as he recognized him. He quickly went over and talked to his friend, whose face proceeded to turn from neutral to shock to pale. Hades, meanwhile, was enjoying their reaction as he said

"Hades, can I meet Themis?"

"Yes, right away, my lord," The other guard said as the first one looked like he was already writing his will as Hades patted him on his shoulders. Reassuring him that he is safe, and walking behind the other person while the guard was relieved that he did not kill him. Not recognizing a divine was equal to treason in the Titans' rule, but Hades' forgiveness gave the people hope for a new future.

The guard went to tell his friends about what happened and possibly drink some nectar to wet his throat, which was dried up after the ordeal. Meanwhile, Hades was talking with Themis before they got into the main topic. "So, what is the plan?" Hades asked as a titan near Themis spoke up,

"We plan to take out one of the supply chains of the titian, one that was supposed to be under Hyprion's rule, but due to his death. It gave us a chance to take the location."

"You are?" Hades asked

"My name is Metis, goddess of wisdom, counsel, and deep thought. I am one of the daughters of Oceanus and Tethys." Metis spoke up as Hades looked her up and down, her form is lithe and statuesque, draped in flowing robes of dusky silver and pale sapphire, woven with threads that shimmer like starlight on still water. Her eyes, a calm and calculating steel-blue, seem to pierce through veils of deception, always observant, always thinking two steps ahead.

 Her hair cascades in smooth waves, the color of deep midnight, often bound in intricate braids that symbolize order, clarity, and intellect. She wears little ornamentation save for a single circlet shaped like a serpent devouring its tail, a symbol of knowledge, eternity, and the wisdom that feeds itself. Her presence is serene, unnerving in its calm—an aura of intellect so refined that it draws both respect and caution from gods and Titans alike.

"Your domain over wisdom fits you, but you know the flaws in your plan," Hades said.
