Chapter 18 - Questions With No Reply

Morgan appeared very tattered and dirty. In fact, the cloth he was wearing was shabby and looked messed up like a person who just came out of a bin. The crowd thought Morgan must have been a mad man who had just mistakenly gotten into the mansion due to the aroma of the food.

Curiosity, guilt and confusion invade into Abigail's mind forcing her body to push into a state of numbness. Abigail ordered her securities to take Morgan out of the mansion, painting him as a madman who had missed direction, ending up inside the mansion.

"Securities, take this mad man out of here. How did you even allow him to get here in the first place? He's ruined the party," Abigail barked angrily with a raging voice, it was obvious that she was scared of Morgan's presence.

One of the guards quickly walked towards Morgan, and just as he was about to touch him, Morgan grabbed him by the hands, then slammed him onto the ground. The speed at which Morgan uses was mind blowing, keeping everyone stunned who had experienced the scene, at some point they thought Morgan was a karate master.

Just as after this mind blowing scene happened, Morgan stood up, shifted his gaze to Jessica, he smiled at her, then began walking towards the exit door of the mansion without saying a word.

"Dad, are you going?" Caspian's little voice cut in, making Morgan pause on his steps.

Morgan turned, then came back and crouched in front of Caspian, his hands running softly on Caspian's hair as he said, "Don't worry, I will be back," Morgan muttered with a grin, then stood and Finally walked out of the mansion door.

The entire guest stared at the scene. It was unbelievable seeing a man, who was dressed like a madman with a very strong aura that leaves them stunned.

"Who is he?"

"He's dressed like a madman but not acting like one."

"Let's get going, this place is getting me scared already."

Murmures of fear and questions filed the entire hall in the creek mansion, making the guest uncomfortable.

"Can't believe this, am I inside an hallucination?" Jessica murmured to herself, her lips trembling with disbelief.

Jessica was stunned by who she was seeing, disbelief striking her really hard and all she could do was remain frozen, and staring dumb. She was stuck in a dilemma to accept if it was Morgan or not, a reality she can't accept that it exists.

Abigail was stunned as well. It all happened like a dream, a nightmare to her that was already making her freak out.

"Is he a ghost, or is someone trying to play a prank on me," Abigail said, shaking her head in disagreement, "no this can't be real, I need to snap out."

It was hard for Abigail to believe, and she was already freaking out about everything. She had killed Morgan and why is Morgan in her means, only ghosts could do that, and Abigail doesn't believe in ghosts.

The next morning, Jessica was sleeping, then suddenly a loud aggressive knock sounded on the door.

"Who could that be," Jessica mutterd to herself with sleeping eyes.

Jessica stood up from the bed, got on her wheelchair, then went to open the door. Jessica's hands turned down the lock and the door pushed open, surprisingly, it was Abigail standing, staring straight into Jessica's eyes, with anger and dismay.

"Did you plan that? Did you hire a man to wear a mask of Morgan's face? Because I well know that Morgan is dead! How the hell was he here yesterday? That person you paid to come create a scene in my party had succeeded, you need a trophy for that, because my party was entirely ruined. And I swore, to my elbows, I will make sure you pay for what you have done," Abigail accused.

Abigail's voice was so filled with rage and ire as she accused Jessica falsely. Till now, she hadn't believed that Morgan was still alive. She had doubts that Jessica must have been the one that had planned it just to create a scene at the party that would get it ruined.
