The Seer's Warning
Narrated by Batista
Darkness.
That's all there was at first. An endless, suffocating black. I couldn't feel my body anymore — no pain, no cold, not even the dull pull of breath. It was like floating in nothingness. I wasn't sure if I was alive or dead. I wasn't sure I cared.
Then… a flicker.
A distant light, pale and silver, like a lantern in thick fog. I felt something pull at me, a thread tied to whatever was left of my soul. It yanked, sharp and sudden, and I was no longer floating.
I was standing.
But not in the world I knew.
The air here was thick, heavy with mist. The ground beneath my feet was wet and cold, the scent of earth and old stone filling my lungs. I looked down, half-expecting to see the bloodied wounds in my chest, but my body was whole.
And then I heard it — the voice.
"Alpha Batista…"
It came from ahead, I know very well. One I never thought I'd hear again.
I turned.
And there he was.
