I decided to put 10 points in Melee Damage and 10 in Movement Speed. These are essential for survival. I can improve Weight and other stats later, but for now, I need to be strong and fast. I also added 10 points to Fortitude so I take less damage from direct attacks, poison, and other hazards. The remaining 14 points I divided between Health and Stamina.
As I allocated the stats, a wave of warmth washed over my body. It felt like I was soaking in the best hot spring, someone giving me a relaxing massage. But then the hot spring began heating up — so hot it was like tempering steel or iron.
After a few minutes, I felt normal again. My build was now like a marble sculpture, carved perfectly — eight-pack abs and a strong chest, like Michelangelo's David.

I opened my interface to check how much my stats had increased. I could feel the rush of blood as my health crossed 600 and stamina rose to 380, close to 400. It felt like the system was saying, You can go 100 rounds!
I put my shirt back on and thought about where to build my base. The cave was big; if I made it in the center, it might attract unwanted and direct attention. I decided to build it in the right-hand corner.
I walked toward the land and selected the thatch base x 4 for crafting. A ding ding sound came, but it was taking some time. So, I crafted four thatch walls, three thatch walls with windows, and one thatch door wall. I also made a thatch door.
After waiting three minutes of similar sound, all the items were crafted. I tried to place the thatch base, and a transparent version appeared in front of me, asking if I wanted to place it. I moved the base to the right spot, confirmed, and the original thatch base appeared.
Admiring the process, I placed all three bases in place and jumped on them. The thatch base displayed its damage value, showing how much it could take. I attached all the walls and door—only the ceiling remained. I crafted four thatch ceilings and placed them on the roof.
While admiring the base, I placed the sleeping bag inside. After thinking about what to do next, I realized I needed to explore. I hadn't seen much of this world yet.
As I was stepping out of my thatch base, I heard voices—two people. They were the same two I'd heard and seen before, but this time, I could understand them. How?
Ding!!!
Quest: First Day {Completed}
Reward: Universal Language
Oh! I survived the first day and got a reward—Universal Language! Perfect for my dilemma.
As I listened closer, the two voices came nearer:
"Aku (Father), I told you we can't keep him."
"The Gazala (tribe) is against it."
I heard them clearly. Now I understood why the girl was angry with me. The Gazala means tribe in their language, and they're against me staying. I don't know why, but I assume it's because my skin is fair while they're mostly dark-skinned. I'm not racist—I had many black students in my previous life and judged them by skill, not color. Furthermore, I hope they don't treat me badly here.
I know that, I'm the chief here, so I guess I know what they're thinking. They must be afraid because he has fair skin —and foreign. The Gazala(Tribal) people have only seen foreigners as traders.
As the big man spoke, the girl listened carefully, like she was studying politics.
"Oh, that's why some elders say you're bringing a bad omen," she said.
The man sighed. "Neelu, listen—if someone is injured, and you can help, then help them!!.
But the girl's thoughts were opposite. "You shouldn't always be kind. The elders say the kindest are the loneliest."
As they spoke, they came into view. The father(Aku) and the beautiful girl(Neelu)—when they stopped talking and noticed me standing in front of my base, they froze.
Their eyes were glued to my base, or home as I called it for now.
They ran toward me, but I was stunned—they ignored me. The girl even shoved me aside to get a better look at what was behind me.
They circled it, touched it, and poked it with their sticks.
"Aku (Father), do you think we can eat it?" she asked, drooling.
What the heck? I thought. It's just a crafted base! Are they this poor?
I spoke out loud in my previous world's language—
"What the heck, man, it's an animated item. Why eat it?"
The girl opened her mouth, tried to bite the thatch, but what she tasted is only thatch, she starts spitting out what ever thatch came inside her mouth, and she made an angry and cute crying face. I had expected that reaction—it was actually kind of cute.
After more poking and smelling, they looked at me as if wondering why I was laughing. I ignored them for the moment.
They came closer, noticed that I was not wearing what they last saw me in, so they began touching me to feel the to feel what I was wearing. I wasn't ready for that, getting touched by anyone is not in a forte of even a modern man, privacy is a thing you know!
"Woh woh woh, man, don't come close. We're not that close for you to touch me," I said, but they didn't understand.
Then I tried conveying the message in their language—Jaka, the Gazala tribal tongue used by all tribe members.
"You know Jaka(Tribal Language) all along?" they asked, surprised.
"Were you faking it when we asked where you were from?" they asked, fuming.
Oh no, I just wasn't ready to talk at the time, i was in pain. Honestly, I didn't know how to speak to you then, but i kept this thought in my mind.
The man pointed at my base and asked, "What is that?"
"It's a house, or a base," I sighed and started walking. "Follow me."
They followed, though the girl was hesitant to take orders from a stranger—especially a foreigner.
As I opened the door, I heard Neelu mutter from behind, "He's opening the mouth of the dead beast!"
"F#ck, girl, it's not a beast. It's a base—a thatch base !."
Aku (father) did you hear the name, "Its name is Thatch Beast."
I shook my head at the girl's words but welcomed them inside.
The father looked shocked at first, then recognition dawned on him.
When Neelu saw that her Aku (Father) realized something about the stomach of this Thatch Beast
Aku (Father) do you know something about this.
"You know when I went to Maka Gazala (Tribe)?"
Yes, when you represented Nanu Gazala (Tribe) and stayed three days—it's a Tier 2 Gazala (Tribe)
"Right, Aku?"
"Yes, Neelu."
"But what does that have to do with this?" she asked, pointing to the base.
"Their tribe is Tier 2, and I've seen houses like this there. It's like a cave—though they don't sleep inside caves; they sleep in homes like this."
"Seriously, Aku?!"
