Maria Moore helped the stranger seat on down before asking Edward James to help her get water.
If anyone from his company sees him right now following every instructions of given by Maria Moore, they'll believe without doubt that Maria has bewitched him or they're dreaming.
Edward James got into a near by supermarket and bought a pack of water and light snacks before heading back to Maria Moore who's across the street.
" Here, have it_ is there something else you need?" He asked
"No, this is okay_ thanks" she said giving one bottle water to the strange lady and the snacks Edward James got
"Thank you for your kindness ma'am" the stranger said but to Edward James he interpreted it in another way. 'does this lady think am Maria's guard or servant' Edward James thought to himself frowning
"What's your address we'll take you back" Maria Moore asked but the stranger lowered her head.
"If you don't want us to know it's fine we can drop you off few poles to your home" Maria Moore said but the stranger waved her hand and her head negatively.
"No that's not what I meant, it's just that I don't have a home" what she said made Edward James and Maria Moore furrow their eyebrows, hitting the nail on the head Maria Moore said
"You said a while ago by the lake that your father is wealthy and we should spare your life so, how then you don't have a home?" Maria Moore asked now thinking probably the stranger is a fraud.
" I don't truly have a home as I was evicted from it just when I returned from work" the stranger said but Edward James who has trust issues didn't want to meddle in her affairs
"I'll ask the chauffeur to take you back" Edward James said as he took out his phone and called his chauffeur to come over with another car.
"You don't have to worry about me sir, I'll manage just like always" the strange lady said in a downcast tune, Maria Moore felt there's more to this strangers story.
"You should head back now, the chauffeur will take you to the hospital" Edward James said without any emotions.
"Anyways am Maria Mo_" she was saying but Edward interrupted her
"Maria James" he said to which Maria Moore was surprised, she looked at him to refute what he said but Edward James looked from her to the strange lady and back to her giving her the signal of 'you can't do that here'.
" Sister Maria can I call you that?" The lady asked now looking at Maria's face
""Yes you can"
"Alright anyways am Kassandra Bold but you can call me Kessy, am so excited right now to have met you_ you won't understand why but thank you both" The lady now known as Kassandra Bold said with a more happy expression now than earlier when they met.
"It's no big deal_ here is my contact just in case" Maria said as she saved her contact into Kessy phone well, reasons best known to her.
"Good evening you_" the chauffeur who just came felt shocked as his boss glared at him not to say more.
"Take Ms Bold to the hospital" Edward James told him to which the chauffeur bowed respectfully before leading Kessy to the car.
Maria Moore was deep in thoughts unable to fix her hands on what Kessy might be going through. As she conversed with Kessy she felt the lady needs help or so.
"Want some ice cream?" Edward James asked, he excused himself to answer some calls and when he got back he noticed Maria was lost in thoughts, to cheer her up he thought of getting her something.
"That's not bad I've got perfect set of teeth, so why not" Maria said about crossing the road without looking but a sudden force pulled her back onto a hard wall but it's just a chest.
Looking up she was confused by his sudden action
"How old are you? Ten? Do you still need a babysit to help you cross the road?" Edward James questioned her not happy with her recklessness, it was then Maria noticed the head light of a car which almost hit her.
"Thank you" she managed to say.
