Her gaze met with deep dark eyes on a face hidden behind a mask.
Anne stared at the man's concealed face for a few seconds before lowering her gaze.
Turns out, he wore another mask. To think she'd been excited to see his face.
She couldn't recall much of what happened last night other than her having a drink.
Did something happen between them last night?
Anne didn't feel anything special after waking up apart from the headache; it further confirmed that nothing had indeed happened between them.
She let out a sigh of relief.
For some reason, she wanted the task of her getting pregnant to be postponed if possible. Perhaps she just wanted to avoid it for as long as she could.
The man had stopped when he saw her, but after a while, he resumed walking again.
"Good morning." Anne stopped him with a greeting.
Last night he'd been quite kind to her. The least she could do was be courteous to him.
Good morning?
Andrew thought with a scoff.
