Chapter 27 - CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

Alva slept deeply, oblivious to her surroundings. She didn't even notice when Cody cooked and brought her food in the room. The warm aroma of scrambled eggs, toast, and sizzling bacon filled the air, but Alva remained sound asleep.

Cody chuckled quietly, his eyes resting on her peaceful face. "Sleeping beauty, wake up," he whispered, gently tapping her shoulder.

When she didn't respond, Cody leaned closer and brushed a soft kiss against her lips.

Alva's eyes fluttered open, locking onto his smiling face. "Why are we here?" she asked groggily, her brows pulling together. "Weren't we just in L.A.?"

Cody grinned. "We left yesterday after the shower, remember?"

Alva's expression turned puzzled. "Then why don't I remember anything?"

"You passed out in my arms," Cody said, laughing softly. "You looked like you'd just run a marathon."

Her cheeks turned crimson. "We… did it. Like, three times. Bedroom, bathroom, tub…" she muttered. "You used up all my energy."

Cody tilted his head, feigning confusion. "We did what?"

Alva shot him a look. "Yah, you know what I mean…"

He chuckled. "I'm starving because of you."

Alva blinked, her embarrassment deepening. "I did nothing to you! You're the one who kept saying not to stop."

Cody only laughed harder as she hid her face in the sheets.

Later, Alva stared at the massive spread on the dining table—pancakes, fruit salad, eggs, bacon, and even a slice of pie. She blinked in disbelief. "Wait… this is all for me?"

Cody's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Of course. You need to replenish your strength."

"I can't eat all this."

"Yes, you can," he teased, stepping between her legs as she sat on the table's edge. The closeness made her breath hitch.

"You better not be planning anything," she whispered, her voice shaky.

Cody smirked. "What if I am?"

Alva pulled back a little. "I won't do it in the dining room."

"I thought you came here to feed me," he murmured, brushing her jaw with his fingers. Her heart pounded in response.

Cody grabbed a spoonful of eggs. Alva opened her mouth, expecting food—but he leaned in and kissed her instead, his tongue teasing hers before pulling back.

She gasped, smacking his chest lightly. "Cody!"

He just laughed and held the spoon up again. This time, she took the bite, eyes locked on his.

Then he leaned in again, their mouths meeting as he poured water from his own lips to hers.

"I can eat on my own," she whispered, overwhelmed by the intimacy.

"Nope," Cody said, voice soft but firm.

Alva hesitated, then murmured, "Maybe I'm just scared you're gonna do it right here."

Cody leaned closer. "You're not done," he whispered.

"I am," she replied.

"Nope," he said again, teasing her.

Alva's eyes narrowed. "Okay… maybe I'm tempted by your lips," she admitted quietly.

Cody gently cupped her face. "Make a wish," he said.

"I wish you wouldn't sleep with me again," she said, voice trembling.

"Is that allowed?" he asked, mock-serious.

"Yes."

"Too bad. If not now, then maybe… here."

Before she could protest, his lips captured hers again, and her body responded instinctively.

As his hands began undressing her, Alva gasped, "Why am I not wearing anything under this?"

Cody didn't answer, kissing her again, deeper this time.

Alva's fingers brushed his chest, reaching for his waistband, but he pulled back, leaving her flustered.

"You framed me," she whispered, half-laughing, half-scolding.

"You said you wouldn't," he said smugly.

"Oh, did I?" she teased.

"You seduced me," he said with mock innocence.

She laughed. "If you hadn't kissed me, I wouldn't want you."

Cody leaned in, gaze intense. "So… do you want me?"

Alva hid her face behind her hands. "I don't know…"

He pulled her hands away gently. "I think you do," he whispered. "Just like I want you."
