As Alicia ran towards the tents, she heard some Imperial Knights shouting,
" A Chimera has attacked the Archduke in the safe zone, We require immediate assistance from the present Sword sages."
As ladies rushed towards the tents, the Commander of the Order of Sun, Sir Alfred, who served the Archduke in close proximity during war times, found the situation quite strange. He rushed towards the scene only to find the Archduke, Archduchess, Duke, Duchess, and Lady Cecily lying lifeless. But it cleared Sir Alfred's suspicions as he found some knife marks on the bodies of the Archduchess and Lady Cecily, which definitely could not have been inflicted by a chimera.
Little Alicia, who heard the knights, followed them to the scene, in hopes of seeing her family alive, but was frightened to see her family lying lifeless and covered in blood. With a teary face, she decided to ask her Uncle, the sole Sun of Empire, "The Emperor," for help.
She ran hastily and sneaked into the tent of the Emperor. She saw her Uncle speaking to the same Assassins who killed her family and was utterly horrified. He was saying,
" Are all three of them dead? I don't want any mishap in the future. The girl had amber-like eyes. You made sure to kill her also, Right?"
The leader of the Assassins, who mistook Lady Cecily's orange eyes for Amber's due to the sunset's reflection, reported, " Yes, your Majesty, we have killed all three of them and also the witnesses present at the scene."
The Emperor laughed uncontrollably and told the Assassins that they would receive their payment soon.
Lady Alicia, who listened to all of this, was horrified beyond limits. Her Uncle, her own blood and flesh, killed his brother, her father. The realization of his betrayal, a man her parents trusted, hit hard for a 10-year-old. Wiping her tears, she sneaked into the Emperor's luggage carriage and travelled back to the capital.
