Chapter 54 - Live Broadcast of Dismantling a Jet with Bare Hands

It didn't take long before the elevator was packed with various disguised agents, who casually and intentionally surrounded Captain America.

Captain America glanced around at the people and slowly said, "Before we start fighting, does anyone want to leave?"

"Damn, that line was so cool it hurts!"

Even Iron Man, a notorious show-off himself, was impressed by that line.

He had originally thought Captain America was just a rigid, boring soldier who only followed orders—but he didn't expect him to be so smooth at delivering dramatic lines.

Effortless, natural, and perfectly timed.

Even with all his years of being flashy, Iron Man had to admit he was outclassed.

"Not bad at all... I should definitely borrow that line sometime."

Captain America's eyes lit up slightly, mentally noting down his own cool quote.

With that one line, the atmosphere in the elevator turned tense, like the calm before a storm.

Crackle! Zap!

The sound of electrical currents surged as all the agents lunged at Captain America simultaneously.

However, it was painfully obvious that this group of supposedly elite agents were nothing but punching bags in front of Captain America. They were all swiftly and decisively knocked down.

Some of them even tried using stun batons directly on Captain America, but they might as well have been poking a tank—it had zero effect.

You had to admit, the man's body really was on another level.

After wrecking the agents in the elevator, Captain America was about to open the door and leave—only to find a heavily armed squad of agents rushing toward him in the hallway outside.

Captain America spun and sliced through the elevator cables with his shield.

The elevator plummeted at high speed, but only dropped a few floors before coming to a halt again. Outside the doors on that level, more agents were charging in.

Then Captain America did something jaw-dropping—he smashed through the safety glass of the elevator and jumped straight out!

That was over twenty stories high!

Even though it was just a recording and not happening in real time—even knowing Captain America was no ordinary person but a peak human super-soldier—Iron Man and Nick Fury were both stunned, their faces twitching.

The visual impact was real.

Whoosh!

After leaping from the building, Captain America was in free fall.

During the drop, he held his shield beneath him and slammed into the ground after falling over 60 meters.

Let's be real—any normal person would've been splattered like a tomato. But Captain America? He stood up like nothing happened and started running.

"He's completely fine?!"

Iron Man was floored. "Now I finally understand why so many organizations want to replicate the super-soldier serum."

Let's be honest—the serum really was like a cheat code.

"Stark, you're not getting any ideas, are you?" Nick Fury side-eyed Iron Man.

"You think I'd be impressed by some serum?" Iron Man replied dismissively.

Sure, the serum was powerful, but could it compete with his Iron Man suits?

And unlike the suits, the serum couldn't be controlled. If it fell into the wrong hands, it would be a disaster.

Unlike his suits—even if someone managed to steal one, without Iron Man's authorization, it was useless.

He had no interest in creating another Winter Soldier.

When Iron Man found out his weapons had been used by terrorists, he shut down his weapons division immediately.

So when faced with something even more dangerous than weapons—like the super-soldier serum—he remained perfectly rational.

"Are you kidding me?"

In the command center—

A bald officer wearing glasses stared at the surveillance feed, stunned.

"Rogers has gone to the garage. Lock down the bridge immediately!"

He quickly snapped out of it and issued the command over the comms.

The feed switched to the bridge checkpoint leading to the Triskelion. The gate began to rumble shut.

Just before the gate closed entirely, Captain America shot through the remaining gap on a motorcycle.

That was a high-difficulty stunt.

"Damn agile—like a circus acrobat!" Iron Man couldn't help but comment.

Captain America frowned slightly. This egomaniac really had the sharpest tongue imaginable.

Whoosh!

A jet flew overhead and easily caught up to Captain America, cutting him off by landing in front of him.

"Disarm, Captain Rogers. Disarm immediately!"

"Repeat—Rogers, disarm!"

Alongside the repeated warnings, a Gatling gun extended from the aircraft.

But Captain America ignored the commands, speeding forward on his motorcycle toward the bridge exit.

Ratatatatatata!

When the warnings failed, the aircraft opened fire. A hail of bullets rained down on Captain America.

But this was Captain America we're talking about. Like a butterfly in a storm, he weaved and dodged through the gunfire flawlessly.

Let's be clear:

From escaping the Triskelion with a dramatic leap, to charging head-on through heavy gunfire—Captain America showcased extraordinary solo combat skills.

Absolutely worthy of his title as a super-soldier.

Still, even with all this, both Iron Man and Nick Fury weren't optimistic about his chances. After all, he was facing a jet.

Captain America didn't even have a weapon—just a shield for defense. All he could do was dodge.

So how could he possibly escape from a high-tech aircraft?

What happened next stunned both Nick Fury and Iron Man.

Right in the middle of the Gatling firestorm, Captain America charged head-on toward the aircraft.

Then, with a flick of his wrist, he threw his shield.

CLANG!

That casually thrown shield hit like a meteor, slamming into one of the jet's engines—and wrecking it instantly!

The shield was like a battle axe, embedding itself into the side of the jet!

Nick Fury and Iron Man were both wide-eyed.

"How strong is this guy?!"
