Chapter 21 - Who booked the entire hotel?

{Skills!}

{In the absence of mirror energy, host can use money to purchase and use skills here!}

'Mirror energy?' Caleb looked at the notification thoughtfully but shifted his gaze down to continue.

{Available skill type: Cryo (Ice)}

{Absolute Zero: $10,000}

{Freeze all enemies within a 100-metre range. Skill will enter cooldown after being used five times!}

{Snowman: $20,000}

{Create a clone of yourself for 10 mins. Clones can speak, act, and interact in exactly the same way as the original and have the same abilities as the original! Host can also control clones and see through them... Time limit can be increased with more money.}

{Warning: If used excessively, host will experience severe headaches.}

Caleb looked at the list of skills.

'So with the system skill tab, I can use either of these skills with my money?' It was something he would definitely love to test.

He had yet to see the full power of the system.

But he couldn't charge in blindly.

He had to know just how much he had left.

He had to make both provisions for buying the skills and also for the expenses he was going to carry from that time onwards.

Although the system was helping him make instant cash from seducing the cardholders, he still had to grow a business to be considered eligible for his father's inheritance—

and also, to make the source of his income known to the public.

'This is going to be a tough one... Let's see how it goes.'

---

"Going on a date?" Nathan could immediately sense the shift in the air.

The Naya he knew—even though it seemed as though she wanted to get closer to Jin Monrrow through his son—would definitely not agree to a date.

'Just what is this girl planning?' Nathan's frown deepened.

"Follow them and make sure you tell me where they are heading," Nathan ordered with a stern voice before cutting the call.

Looking into the night sky of Newcastle City—

he could almost smell it in the air, the danger that was looming above the city.

Something was going to happen tonight.

Something that would probably alert all the cardholders in the city.

---

They arrived in front of the hotel.

Caleb stepped out of the car, calmly walking over to the other side to open the door for Naya.

He stretched out his hand for her, but she ignored it.

"This is only an act and not an actual date... There's no need to make it look so serious."

"It's not an act if you agreed to it," Caleb replied with a confident smile.

Naya's face flushed.

"I only agreed because this was the best plan you could come up with... On a normal day, this would've never happened," Naya scoffed, hurriedly walking into the hotel.

Caleb smiled as he watched her figure but calmly followed behind her with his hands crossed behind his back.

The hotel radiated quiet luxury.

Polished marble floors reflected the warm glow of crystal chandeliers.

High coffered ceilings and silk-covered walls added depth and elegance.

The air carried a faint scent of lilies, and every detail—from the soft lighting to the hushed atmosphere—made the space feel calm, refined, and effortlessly upscale.

As the two entered the hotel, on the outside... a man pulled out his cell.

"Sir Nathan, they stopped by De Angelo Hotel." The man paused, but Nathan's long silence made him feel an invisible weight on his shoulders.

"Uhm... It's in Menadin City," he added, his voice shaking slightly.

"Alright, you've done a good job... You can leave. I'll handle the rest from here."

Nathan replied, his cold gaze lingering ahead as he moved out of the balcony.

"I'll make sure to end this entire hide-and-seek this time," he said to himself confidently.

"Whatever your plot is, just make sure it's strong enough to hold me back from killing you this time... I won't give you the chance to do what you want."

Nathan entered the elevator, casually hitting the down button.

Ting!

A low metallic sound was heard as the elevator moved downwards.

The clear see-through glass allowed him a clear view of the beautiful city that lay below.

In mere seconds, Nathan arrived at the last floor.

Stepping out of the elevator, he walked toward the automatic doors, which slid open.

A red McLaren pulled up to the curb, its engine purring like a beast restrained.

The sleek, low body gleamed under the city lights, curves sharp and deliberate—every inch screaming power and wealth.

Its butterfly doors opened upward with a hiss, drawing stares as if the car itself demanded attention.

Nathan entered the car, his driver already seated in wait.

"Take me to Menadin City, De Angelo," he ordered with a calm demeanor.

His thoughts railing.

'What could possibly be her plans?... The last son of the Monrrows?... She definitely knows that I'll be trailing after her, so she should be in a state of distress... looking for how to escape...'

He couldn't find anything that was wrong.

But Nathan had an unsettling feeling in his chest.

Something was wrong.

Something he didn't know of—but what could it be?

Was it the fact that she was meeting up with the last son of Jin Monrrow?

Why did he have this strange feeling?

The more he thought about the matter, the deeper his frown grew.

Going on a date with him was definitely not something Naya could do, except there were other motives behind the action.

Anyone who'd even met her once could easily tell she wasn't the type that worked well with men... Going on a date with one?

That was even more crazy.

Nathan pulled out his phone.

He searched the De Angelo Hotel hotline...

"Hello, good evening. Please, how may we be of help to you?"

"I would love to get a reservation for your hotel," Nathan replied.

"Sorry, sir, but the entire hotel has been booked."

Nathan's brows furrowed.

"Booked?" he asked with a stunned voice.

"Yes, sir. Someone bought the entire reservation," the receptionist answered calmly.

"Can you tell me the person who did this?"

"Sorry, sir, but it's not our policy to give out our customers' information... If that is all, then I'll take my leave. I hope you enjoyed our service and—"

Nathan drew a deliberately long sigh, stretching it long enough to keep the lady behind the phone silent.

"I'll ask again. Who booked the entire hotel?" Nathan's voice was slow... each word carrying a powerful energy that made the air shake slightly.

Even the driver felt a chill run down his spine hearing his boss's voice.

The lady stood there, her eyes hollow... as though possessed by a spirit.

"Caleb Monrrow booked the entire hotel."
