Ember personally didn't care whether she was dressed in silk or sack. However, as princess Elara, it would be an error not to inquire about such things. Besides, she was personally curious about how the woman's mind worked.
"To be frank with you, your highness, I didn't believe the fabric made her majesty the queen look soft," Cecilia answered with a wicked smile, "on the other hand, I thought it made her look like the kind of queen that visited peasant villages to hand out bread."
Except queen Serpentine was the kind of queen who never stepped out of her chambers and was always dressed in dark clouds and gathering storms.
"So my mother wants me to appear as the very picture of a kind and caring Princess Royal?" Ember asked with a carefully faked frown on her pouty lips.
