Adrian had come back from a stressful day at work, as the CEO who just came back from the hospital a few days ago, workload was a lot
He was tossing his suit jacket over his shoulder when Cassie side slide to his front with a broad smile "welcome home, I made dinner"
"Not hungry" his voice was cold but Cassie didn't mind as always, she took his hand and started dragging him to the dinning, Adrian decided to go with her, not having the strength to argue
He sees the two plate of food set on the dinning, Cassie rushed to the kitchen, brought utensils and juice, she pours the juice in a glass cut and put it close to Adrian, she also set the utensils for him before doing the same for herself and sitting down "come on, try it"
Adrian hesitated, he looked between Cassie and the food, he reluctantly took a bite of the food, the atmosphere was tense until Adrian swallowed "not bad" his voice didn't sound like he was complimenting her but more link saying a casual word but Cassie was in cloud nine "your mom taught me"
She blurted out, Adrian looks at her with a cock brow before sighing and continue eating, Cassie didn't understand but just kept eating her own food, occasionally glancing at him
A while later, Adrian finally spoke "my childhood best friend is coming to visit"
Cassie scanned her memory and knew exactly who it was "Isn't she married?...she's coming with her husband?"
Adrian shrugs "they'll be coming next tomorrow... Will you cook or I'll hire a chef"
"I'll cook, by then mom would have taught me a new dish tomorrow"

The next day Cassie rushed to Adrian's parent place in the morning and she learnt 3 dishes that day... It was hectic and tiring but when she got home, she cooked for Adrian but fell asleep
When Adrian got back home, he found Cassie on the couch, he knelt beside the couch on one knee, Cassie was laying on her belly, her face covered with her hair, the temperature was normal and in between so Cassie didn't sweat much, Adrian removed the hair covering her face, at first he had a slight irritated expression but after pulling the hair lightly from her face, his hand frove, he looked at the girl closed eyes and natural pink lips, her breathing was steady
He moved his hand from her cheeks when pushing the hair to her lips, he was close to touching her lips but then Cassie moved slightly, feeling ticklish on her face
Adrian quickly pulled his hand away, it was so quick that even him was shocked... He breathes out a sigh of relief when Cassie didn't wake up
He stood up and then carried her, it was like he was carrying a child, she had no weight... Adrian carried her up to her room and put her on the bed, he turned to leave but Cassie tugged at his pants half awake "welcome home...Dinnner-"she cut herself off cause she fell asleep,it showed just how hard she worked while trying not to burn the kitchen and trying to make the best food for when the visitors come
