Chapter 30 - Allies!

That was definitely favouritism to Lancelot, maybe if they complete their current mission well, they'll get into Deus' good books, maybe if they showed some potential, Deus would be interested and show favouritism to them as well...

They don't know that the fact that Deus was interested in them and gave them a sigil was the achievement of the highest order... Their potential was as clear as day to Deus' eyes, Lancelot was trash, but he has a unique soul and high affinity to Soul, that's why Deus had to pay extra attention on Lancelot...

They were still wondering, countless thoughts coursing through their mind, but...

Deus' voice came next, cold and domineering, layered with something ancient that couldn't be questioned.

"No matter how useless you are, try not to die, Mortal Lancelot."

Lancelot's head snapped up.

"You have great affinity to soul, but you're currently on the wrong path..."

Deus' eyes narrowed slightly.

"...you'll be granted fitting soul beast souls."

Silence.

Even the wind didn't dare speak.

Everyone present knew—Lancelot had just been marked by something far beyond their comprehension.

And there was no turning back now.

***

Everyone gaze was on Lancelot...

'What did he receive?'

At that moment, Lancelot felt multiple beast souls enter his sea of soul...

"This..." His heart lit up with glee...

They were all top notch, granting Lancelot many new methods, with these group of complementary beast souls he was sure he could take on the entire Seven Bounty Hunters anytime, anywhere...

But two caught his eyes out of all the beast soul, with these two, it'll be very much easier to deal with his brother's attacks, and take over the empire back from his brother...

He was excited beyond words, he had completely lost sense of his surroundings, in this world strength mmis all that mattered, Deus beast soul granted Lancelot a 100% boost to his strength, how can Lancelot not be excited.

'What's the attributes of these beast souls,' he looked at his system quickly, his heart thumping with excitement...

[Verdant Hydra]

[Mythical Beast Soul]

[Attributes: Extreme recovery, long-term stamina]

[Type: Soul-Endurance Beast Soul]

[Form: An eight-headed spectral hydra with flowing black and silver scales, each head pulsing with pure soul energy. Its body is semi-transparent, coiled like a slumbering titan in Lancelot's soul subspace, its eyes glowing with endless vitality.]

[Beast Soul Ability: [Verdant Hydra Renewal – When soul energy is depleted, heads of the soul of [Verdan Hydra] get depleted one by one within the soul sea, each restoring chunks of stamina and energy. Each depleted head also grants lingering regenerative after-effects over time.]

This beast soul was unlike anything Lancelot had ever seen. With it, he could fight endlessly — not just longer than normal, but to an absurd degree.

With the Mythic level beast soul of the Verdant Hydra, Lancelot could hold his ground against fifty opponents of the same rank, maybe more, without showing signs of exhaustion. His stamina, soul endurance, and recovery soared far beyond what was naturally possible. It was as if another soul subspace had opened up inside him — one that existed for the sole purpose of storing and supplying soul energy.

Each of the hydra's eight heads acted like a separate reserve tank. When his main soul energy ran low, one of the heads would stir within the subspace and release a flood of pure energy into him — seamless, natural, efficient.

Once a head's reserve depleted, it would dim and fall dormant, but the next would rise, ready to fuel him again. Until all eight heads were down, Lancelot could fight with no stress, no falter, and no need to retreat.

It wasn't just power. It was unyielding presence — the kind that made enemies second-guess how long they could even last before they were the ones running out of strength.

The Mythic Hydra didn't roar or show off.

It simply endured.

And that alone made it terrifying.

[Undying Dread-Warden (Half-Lich Variant)]

[Type: Undead Soul Guardian Beast]

Form: A gaunt, armored, four-armed humanoid beast with hollow eyes [lich], draped in withered soulcloth and chained bone-plate armor. Its chest cavity holds a slowly beating, black-glowing core of necroflame — the Crest of Unrest.]

[Beast Soul Ability: Death Echo Core]

[Every time the lich blocks or is struck by an attack, a portion of that energy — be it soul, elemental, or physical — is absorbed into the Undying Core within it.]

[This absorbed death resonance can be:]

[Reflected back as a twisted mirror counter infused with necrotic soul force.]

[Or channeled into your recovery, vastly accelerating stamina, soul energy regeneration, and physical healing.]

[Passive Aura: Unyielding Dead Veil]

[While you're is injured or your energy is low, he emanates a cold, death-laced aura that weakens enemy vitality and suppresses their soul recovery.]

[Cannot summon undead.]

[All of its power is internalized — drawn from the grave's shadow but bound solely to Lancelot.]

[Can act as a shield that fearlessly takes in any elemental attack Lancelot deems threatening, absorbing its power into the lich's core to either counter or recover.]

"Lancelot grinned like a madman, his gaze flicking from the air in front of him. Away from his system interface—his breathing uneven with excitement. Words couldn't describe how he felt in that moment. It was like a firestorm of power had been poured into his soul, and now, his blood boiled with raw anticipation.

He clenched his fists tight, veins bulging as his lips parted into a smirk. 'Odin… don't worry. I'm coming for you.'

There was no fear, no hesitation, only purpose.

Then, slowly, his eyes moved to the figures standing beside him—his allies now. Yes, his partners.
