Silvan walked over to his horse and strapped the bloody legs of the deer to it. He got on his horse and turned to Alessio, "Do you think you could lead us to a nearby body of water?"
Alessio's gray eyes were like molten sliver when they sparkled, "There's a creek just a short distance away," He said as he got on his horse, "I know the way there."
Thus Alessio took the lead, leaving behind the carcass of the deer for the guards keeping an eye on them to deal with.
The water source was indeed only a short ride away, one they took leisurely, the sun warming up the forest as it got higher in the sky.
There were fallen logs placed close to the edge of the creek, it would seem like other hunters before them had the same idea as they did.
The horses were well trained so they didn't need to hitch them up. The creatures meandered to the creek to get a drink and then hung back in the cover of the trees to graze.
