Chapter 19 - The blonde Twins

"Did you hear that?" A subtle movement, but it went unnoticed by the other government officials.

"Just keep walking. It must be wind or something. You know how there are spooky things all around this place." The senior mage replied, however, there was something that surprised him.

"Hmm?" By the time he turned back to answer his colleague, there was no one in sight anymore.

The two of his partners now lay on the ground, almost lifeless.

"...!" He did not perceive any presence, but by the time he noticed them, it was already too late.

-Tak!

He did not feel any pain or even anything touching his neck. He simply lost consciousness slowly and fell down, just like the rest of his colleagues.

-Thud.

The ground floor was dealt with, and so was the first one. So, he moved above and found the lady who had been moving towards her other target.

[{ Master… }]

Thanks to the restriction to one's inventory in this special dungeon, the government officials were carrying the Items within a special sack with more space than what it seemed like. It was a simple looking sack that stored a few of the items, so KiRA moved with their sack and reached where the dark-attribute swordswoman was.

'Yeah. She's good.'

KiRA had never heard anything about someone with dark attributes that possessed such remarkable sword skills back in the game days.

He strangely recognised the sword-arts that this person was using, but as far as he knew, the person that This particular sword-art belonged to, had never taken any official disciples.

'Did she learn by herself?'

KiRA did not know who she was, but he certainly wanted to know more about her. But right now, he had more important matters to deal with, so…

-Swish.

"Hmm?" He moved closer and with his near undetectable presence, closed in on the woman.

"...!"

It had not happened until now, but even before he reached her, she somehow had already perceived his presence.

"Hup!" She tried her best to dodge KiRA's attack, almost succeeding by activating one of her 'instant' movement skills, but the disparity between their stats and level was a little too much for the current her.

-Tak!

KiRA's one attack. It was ineffective.

-Tak! Tak!

But the two consecutive strikes that followed after the first one were not something even she had foreseen…

-Thud.

The dark swordswoman with a fairly attractive body and good looks fell to the ground, her light brown hair hidden under her cap looking attractive in the dimly lit pathway.

[{ You can enslave her master. Wouldn't that be more convenient~? }]

[{ "It would be… but we don't have the right skill for that, right? So maybe next time." }]

For now, KiRA left a certain feather from Uni on the sword wielder, something that magically dissolved into a golden fluid and went inside her body.

[{ "That should do it for now." }]

He took away all the items except the drop items she had on her, and then moved up to the floor where the twins were fighting the hidden boss of the dungeon– the [Wailing soul].

-Tap. Tap. Tap.

It was a different spirit creature than the Spirit guardians that were present all around the dungeon.

This particular being used to be a servant of the Saint when she was alive, someone who cried till her death with grief and pain after the saint passed away and stayed in this cathedral.

It wasn't out of duty that she had stayed behind, but because of her own selfishness, because she could not forget the master that she had served all her life.

'Let's see…'

A certain door no more attractive than any of the doors present within the dungeon. That was where the being was restricted.

One needed to turn off a right combination of lights within the hallway to open this door, a puzzle that constantly changed with each passing minute within the dungeon.

'Unless one knew the right method, there's no way they could access this secret piece. And even if they could access it…'

===Status===

============

From what he remembered, the creature was not something just anyone could take down. There were only a few strategies to take this creature down as well.

In fact, he was the only one who had managed to find a surefire way to defeat this certain monster… However, it seemed like the twin brothers inside the room were aware of his methods.

[{ Master! Master! Look! They did exactly what you used to do here! Look! }]

[{ "Oho?" }]

KiRA could tell from the aftermath that they left behind.

There was the presence of spirit fire, a unique kind of fire that one can only produce with a spirit Orb, the blood of a powerful creature of at least (Lv: 20) or above, and a Mana Crystal.

The combination of the items and the required amount was something that KiRA himself came up with so, aside from his regular stream audience, there shouldn't be many that were aware of this method.

[{ "Shall we go and greet them then?" }]

[{ Yei~! }]

KiRA smirked while looking at the near-dead state of the two brothers.

They were covered in scratches and wounds. The Hidden boss was not an easy opponent.

The item that it dropped with a pretty good Drop Rate, the was also a rank item that was difficult to get in the early days.

-Step. Step. Step.

He could see that item lying on the ground before them. And, since the blond twins with bloodstained faces and identical green eyes couldn't even move right now, it would have been pretty easy to steal everything they had on them at this moment.

"Ughhh…"

"Who… what do you… want?"

The two saw a masked man walking into the devastated room, their eyes filled with bloodthirst.

They had fought with all that they had to get this item. Even if they weren't in any state to fight right now, they weren't going to just give up their hard-earned spoils so easily.

"Relax." However, KiRA had no intention of fighting these two.

"You wouldn't be so hurt had you used the hook and curtains." He spoke in a deep voice, different from his usual one, one that the two strangely recognized for some reason, and placed a certain bottle before them.

"If you're aiming for the 'Holy Hexagon' you better hurry as soon as you're healed. There will be many like you out there, most without the knowledge of what they're coveting."

-Oooooooooong!

A feather fell on both of them as they watched in awe a scene they were well familiar with. They did not care about the rank healing potion at that moment.

"If fate allows it, let us meet inside the tower." Those were his last words to them.

He looked around the place and collected what he needed, before walking out of the boss-room with a certain expectation of the future.

[{ Is it alright to leave them be, master? Shouldn't you ask them how they know about your method? }]

Uni was unaware of his streams and his viewers, so he didn't elaborate on it right now.

KiRA also did not ask the twins anything about them right now.

If they were one of the twelve that had stayed with him till the end, then they would find him sooner or later.

"Lord KiRA!"

"Please wait!"

They called out to him, but he did not turn back. He continued walking and vanished into thin air once again after coming out of the room.

"It's… him."

"That was him… wasn't he, brother?"

The two had no doubt after seeing those feathers which turned into Golden Blood.

There were only a few beings in the entire tower with a trait like that. The possibility of meeting someone who owned a being like that outside of the tower at this stage was near impossible.

But they knew… they knew that if there was even a tiny bit of a possibility, with the things that they saw, from the things that He told them, and that voice… there could only be one person.

Only one person that they had just come across, could have a companion with such a trait.

"..."

But they still could not believe this.

This moment, this potion given to them by their idol, that meeting, and the presence they felt in those few seconds… it was all simply magical.
