The footsteps drifted away, but the affectionate man and woman did not stop.
For a long time.
The immersed girl suddenly felt the agents leave and opened her eyes blankly, and saw that the other party's handsome and striking face had an expression of smiling yet not smiling.
Although a little embarrassed and shy, the girl smiled.
"Can you get up from me first?"
"Sure"
Allen chuckled and turned over and lay down.
The girl sat up, and then she visually confirmed that the men in black had left the park.
She then tidied up her clothes and said to Allen.
"Thank you for helping me. My name is Helena. What about you?"
"Allen."
"You have great skills." When she said that, she referred to his acting skills, improvisation, and reaction speed.
'Though, he is also a great kisser…' that part was left unsaid.
"You weren't the first to say that, and you won't be the last." Allen turned to look at Helena, supporting his head with one hand, and chuckled.
"That's just the start of course, if you want to see anymore…"
"I'm afraid I can't do it here. Do you want to continue in another place?"
Helena looked at Allen's eyes and said with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.
"Be careful, lest you fall in love with me you won't be able to handle it."
"My name is Helena Bertinelli." With that said, she looked at him, and he didn't have any visible reaction to her name.
Allen nodded.
"That's a good name, it suits you,"
Helena paused.
'Is this guy not from here?'
"My father, Frank Bertinelli, is the leader of the famous crime syndicate in Starling City. Still want to get with me? Even if I wanted to, I'm afraid my father would kill you and feed your body to the fish swimming in the piers."
He just laughed in response.
"What's there to be afraid of?"
"I didn't plan to fall in love with you anyway. Isn't it more exciting to run after we're done?" Allen replied with a grin.
She stared at him.
"Are you really not afraid?"
"How about you try me?"
Seeing Allen's expression that said 'I'm tired of words, I'll prove it with action', Helena let out a chuckle and smiled.
"Not today. I finally got rid of them and plan to head to Central City. I can give you my number. If you're really not afraid, you can call me anytime."
To her surprise though…
Allen slapped his leg and laughed.
"What a coincidence. I was planning to go to Central City too."
"Do you really want to go to Central City, or are you just afraid of missing your chance?" Helena asked, slightly suspicious.
He grabbed his chin and thought for a bit.
"Both."
"Forget it… I'll drive my car around. You wait for me by the side of the road."
"Good."
The two separated, and Allen walked to the roadside.
About ten minutes later, a sports car pulled up in front of Allen.
The door opened, and Helena beckoned him in.
Allen got into the car, and the engine roared.
The sports car shot off like a bullet.
Allen didn't know exactly how far Starling City was from Central City, but since Helena chose to leave at this time, she must be confident she could return before nightfall.
Speaking of her, she was a strange woman, good at deception, and the kind of person you couldn't predict even if you tried.
As the daughter of a mafia crime syndicate boss, she had specifically turned against her own father.
In the beginning, she only gathered evidence to report him.
Later, she fully embraced the persona of Huntress and tried several times to kill her father.
In the end, her father was accidentally killed by someone else during a shootout, and her path of rebellion ended.
She briefly joined the Green Arrow team.
But her ruthlessness and unwillingness to follow the no-kill rule caused friction with their philosophy, so she returned once again as Huntress.
Later, she joined the Bat family and learned to control her temper and bloodlust somewhat, but Batman kicked her out, because he still thought of her as a killer.
She then teamed up with Black Canary and Barbara Gordon, to form a small group: the Birds of Prey.
The team kept growing with many famous characters joining up.
But right now, it looked like Helena was still at the early stage of her journey.
Barbara wasn't paralyzed yet, Laurel Lance had only just started training, and Helena was still figuring herself out.
'This feels like I'm unlocking the Birds of Prey characters in a game, one by one.' Allen couldn't help but laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" Helena turned to Allen and asked.
"What will you be doing in Central City?" Allen smiled and shook his head before replying with a question of his own.
"Various things," Helena said casually.
"What about you? What are you going to do?"
"I want to find someone to order something."
Helena gave him a side glance.
"It's not convenient to take you where I'm going. If you're really not afraid and interested in me, wait for me. I'll be back after picking up my things."
"Alight," Allen replied with a smile.
After entering Central City, Helena parked her car at a decent hotel.
"You get off here, alright? I'll come find you later, at most an hour," Helena said.
Allen nodded and got out of the car.
He noticed that the S.T.A.R. Labs building wasn't far from where he was.
Watching Helena drive off, Allen casually made his way toward the lab.
The particle accelerator explosion hadn't happened yet, and S.T.A.R. Labs was still operating normally.
Allen was stopped by security as soon as he reached the entrance.
"Excuse me, sir. Can I help you with something?"
"I'm looking for Cisco Ramon," Allen said with a friendly smile.
"Your name, please?" The security guard asked while getting ready to contact someone, but at that moment the door opened and two people stepped out.
A man and a woman.
The woman had long curly hair draped over her shoulders, a bright smile, and carried herself like a lady.
The man wasn't tall, had a darker complexion, and shoulder-length hair.
They were Cisco Ramon, who would become: Vibe, and Caitlin Snow, who would one day become: Killer Frost.
