Chapter 19 - Mara

The air around Yu Yui shimmered, a silver distortion forming at her fingertips as she traced ancient runes into the space with smooth, elegant motions. A deep hum echoed, and space tore like wet paper, revealing a spiraling vortex of golden energy streaked with black veins.

A portal opened.

"Done," said Yu Yui, panting, placing a hand over her chest as if she were touching Han Ling in her heart. Her red eyes lit up with a glint of anticipation. "But I don't know what we'll find inside..."

Before Han Ling could respond, the portal's energy suddenly stirred—violently, as if it had a will of its own.

"Huh?" Yu Yui's eyes widened, feeling her consciousness being pulled. "T-This wasn't supposed to happen!"

Their minds were sucked into the dimensional rift like leaves in the wind, leaving their bodies motionless outside.

Their thoughts were ripped from the physical plane, plunged into an ocean of emptiness. It felt like falling—falling forever—until, with a subtle snap, they were there.

A vast hall unfolded before them, formed by golden pillars and violet flames that burned without heat. In the center, atop a black throne veiled in shadows, sat her.

Skin white as jade, silver hair flowing like rivers across the marble, and eyes like amethyst gems that seemed to pierce the soul.

But unlike the lustful, begging creature who had secretly watched them night after night, she now radiated power. A divine, suffocating aura filled the space, pressing lightly on the hearts of the two visitors.

She crossed her legs on the throne with elegance, a faint smile on her lips.

"My, my... two intruders in my prison." Her voice was silky smooth, but carried an almost sacred weight. "Have you come seeking knowledge? Or... something more?"

Her gaze swept across them both, but upon seeing Han Ling, an imperceptible tremor ran through her body. Her fingers subtly squeezed her exposed thighs, just beneath the white robe that barely hid her nakedness. Her attempt to maintain the air of a supreme deity faltered—but she forced herself to stay composed.

However, her lower half was rebellious. Warm, embarrassed, and eager moisture slowly trickled down.

With every heartbeat, Mara fought to keep her lofty gaze, but inside... she screamed.

It's him... it's him... it's him... The cruel male... the man who fucked like the god of sex...

She had been watching him for weeks, maybe months, trapped in that timeless prison, forced to touch herself as she watched. She remembered the sounds of thrusts, the sweat sliding between bodies, Han Ling's expression as he dominated those women...

And now he was here.

Right in front of her.

For real.

My body won't hold...

She swallowed hard and straightened her shoulders, trying to hide the faint blush on her cheeks.

"I am the guardian of this place," she continued, trying to sound indifferent, "and you may only proceed if you give me a good reason."

But her eyes, now fixed on Han Ling's, betrayed something else.

Desire.

Wild, feverish, desperate.

Yu Yui blinked beside him, slightly confused by the woman's unstable aura. Han Ling, on the other hand, remained silent, his sharp gaze locked onto the figure ahead... something about her intrigued him deeply.

He could feel it. This woman... wasn't just pretending to be powerful.

She was powerful. Extremely so.

The silence stretched for a moment.

Han Ling remained impassive. His amber eyes scanned the woman before him, showing no trace of emotion—no surprise, no lust, no curiosity. Just that sharp, empty stare, like an obsidian blade that saw no value in anything unless it was useful.

He noticed her near-nakedness, the glisten between her thighs, the slight tremble in her pose. But he didn't react. As if he were looking at a wet stone in the rain.

"Help us," he said, his voice deep, cold, and direct as a command. "That's all."

Yu Yui glanced sideways at him. Despite his calm demeanor, her heart tightened.

That woman...

Heavy, round breasts, wide and firm thighs, a narrow waist, and scandalous curves. A body that seemed made for sin. Compared to her own—slimmer, with a more subtle sensuality—the woman on the throne was pure provocation.

What if Master likes that...? What if he wants... her...?

She bit her lip lightly, her face tinged with a trace of discomfort.

Meanwhile, Mara held Han Ling's gaze with a veiled smile. His lack of reaction... his coldness... only aroused her more.

He ignores me... as if I'm nothing... That's... that's cruel... That's perfect.

She took a deep breath and slowly crossed her legs, the white robe slipping slightly, revealing the upper curve of her hip.

"Using me like this... without even asking my name?" she said, feigning offense. "You really are... different from the others."

Her voice was soft, almost honeyed, but inside she was panting.

Say anything... insult me... tell me to shut up... break me...

Han Ling simply stared at her for another second, then spoke, flatly:

"Are you willing to help or not?"

His coldness struck her like a slap. The desire inside Mara nearly spilled over. Her legs tensed involuntarily, and she pressed her fingers to her thigh, hiding the tremor.

She just wanted to throw herself to the floor. But she had a role to play.

"This won't be so easy," she replied, regaining her composure with a sly smile. "I can help... but only if you agree to a deal."

Yu Yui frowned slightly.

"What kind of deal?" she asked.

Mara looked her up and down, then returned her hungry gaze to Han Ling.

"Three requests. Mine."

She rose from the throne, bare feet touching the floor with grace.

"You want my help? Then the price is three requests you'll have to fulfill. No conditions. No refusals. When I ask, you obey."

She approached slowly, hips swaying gently, her eyes locked on Han Ling like a slave begging to be chained.

"What do you say?"

Han Ling looked at her, indifferent, as if he hadn't even heard her provocative tone.

"Three requests?" he repeated, his voice low and emotionless. His amber eyes sliced through the air like blades of ice. "You'll help me destroy the Outer God... or you won't get anything your perverted mind is imagining."

His words dropped like stakes into the sealed dimension's atmosphere.

Mara froze.

Her smile faltered.

The mask of a mysterious and seductive goddess cracked, and for a brief second, a slight tremor passed over her expression. What Han Ling said... struck directly at the core of her soul.

That look... that coldness... He knows. He saw through me as if I were transparent...

She turned away for a moment, as if trying to recompose herself. Her fingers dug into her thigh, her breathing becoming unsteady.

"You... are cruel, Han Ling..." she said in a low tone, almost a whisper, still trying to maintain her poise. "But you're right."

She turned back, forcing a small smile. Now, her eyes held less arrogance and more... submission. Admiration. Hunger.

"I can't help you directly... not yet," she said, slowly walking back to the throne. "The seal that binds me to this dimension prevents me from influencing the outside world. If the Outer God remains out there... there's nothing I can do."

Yu Yui, still standing beside Han Ling, clenched her teeth. The way Mara looked at him... the way she spoke to him...

Master... this woman wants to be used... wants to be owned by him like a toy...

Mara sat down, slightly parting her legs, as if unconsciously offering something — even while speaking of war and seals.

"There are two options," she continued, her calm voice fragile. "Either the Outer God enters this dimension, where I can face him... or... you must prepare a vessel in the real world. A body that can withstand part of my power. That way, I can manifest again."

She leaned forward, eyes locked on Han Ling. Her tone swayed between devotion and masked desperation.

"I was a supreme goddess, Han Ling. Those gods... they had to betray me to bring me down. Even sealed, I'm still enough to destroy an Outer God."

She hesitated. Then, in a quieter tone, she said:

"But... if you die before that... if I can't... if no one can use me..." her voice faltered briefly. "Then all this waiting... this desire... this torment... will have meant nothing."

She bit her lip, pressing her legs tighter together. Moisture trailed between her thighs — hot and shameless.

He must live... to destroy me... to free me... to own me...

Han Ling merely turned to the side, as if everything she said was no more than the sound of wind echoing in an empty cave.

"Then arrange a way," he said, already turning his back. "You'll instruct us. Use this time to decide whether you'll keep being a burden... or become a tool."

Yu Yui followed him, but before leaving, she cast one final look of pure disdain at Mara, as if saying: He's mine. You can keep touching yourself for another hundred years.

Mara, alone in the sealed dimension, laid sideways on the throne, panting, her fingers slipping between her legs, her face drenched in desire and shame.

"Han Ling... destroy me... save me... use me..."

Back in the real world, the Outer God watched the scene of Yu Yui opening a portal, though he was too weak — only his mind could pass through.

"This is so fun to watch... I'd love to crush her hopes, but it's not time yet..." The Outer God's eyes were blood-red as he looked in Yu Yui's direction. He felt a slight unease seeing that portal — but only for an instant. Then he dismissed it. After all, no matter what ants did, they would remain ants.

Closing his eyes again, he went back to refining his corpse. His current concern was regaining enough power to face other gods.

Yu Yui was merely an extra prize. Even if she died, he could always look for her twin sister to possess, gaining Infinite Fortune that way.

However, that path was more troublesome. If Infinite Fortune were completed, even gods would be powerless before her, raising the difficulty of possessing her body to unimaginable levels.

Yet, the Outer God had no idea that Yu Yui's fortune — even just a fraction of the original Infinite Fortune — had already been enough to influence his thoughts.

Still, out of caution, he decided to check with someone... And who better than Han Ling himself?

Once Han Ling and Yu Yui's minds were released, Yu Yui touched her chest and asked with concern:

"Master, isn't that woman untrustworthy?" The jealousy in her voice was palpable. "She was eyeing your body, full of impure thoughts about you... I didn't like her!"

Han Ling simply observed her in silence.

But Yu Yui... weren't you exactly like that in the beginning?

Han Ling kept that thought to himself and answered:

"Yes... But it's not like we have a choice."

Yu Yui bit her lip hard, until she tasted metal. Han Ling was right — they had no choice.

"But master... that woman... she might ask humiliating things of you..." Her voice was muffled and trembling. Most of it stemmed from jealousy just imagining Han Ling with someone else.

She had never felt that before. She always saw herself as a tool. The lust she felt was just that — lust.

But the more she understood Han Ling, the more it felt like love... This went beyond ordinary lust.

Just hearing that Han Ling's heart belonged to someone else had already hurt her. And now she'd have to see him with another?

No! I'd rather die than see my master with another woman!

As her thoughts spiraled into madness, Han Ling's voice cut through:

"Are you an idiot?" Han Ling's voice was low and grave. "I never planned to fulfill that deal. What would make me different from a whore if I sold my body for favors?"

What Han Ling didn't say... was that he was more worried about Han Xinrou's reaction.

How would she take it, knowing all my transgressions?

How could I face her after everything?

It would've been better to die by the hands of the Outer God.
