Chapter 54 - Resonances of a bygone blade

Character Quotes — Black Godblade:

"My sword is not for glory or victory, but only to find the one worthy of drawing it."

[Act 1: The Forbidden Artist's File]

East Cloud Academy's Seventh Data Room:

A dusty file box is slowly opened, revealing a dense record of battle results.

"Black God Blade. Formerly a member of the Swordsmanship Department. Classified S."

Due to the "Forbidden Sword Experiment," which caused an interfering incident in an alien dimension, he voluntarily sealed his main battle force and later disappeared. He is suspected to have entered an otherworldly dimension.

Someone slowly closed the file and whispered,

"He is not missing...he was left in the past by the times."

The camera pans to the East Cloud Academy four years ago, before it entered the Golden Generation of Battle Power.

[Act II — The black-haired boy first appears.]

At that time, the Black God Blade was still called the "Blade of Fushimi."

He was not listed on the Swordsmanship Department's roster, but he had an overwhelming number of "battle simulation points."

Every time he fought, the outcome was decided in one strike.

He didn't wear a school uniform, carrying his sword at an angle. His eyes looked as if they didn't belong to this era.

One day, on the Swordsmanship Department's training ground.

Tendo Kyouichi, a newcomer to the department, was attacked and repulsed after failing to perform a full triple stance.

As the crowd sneered, Fushimi threw his sword.

"Who says only the minister can challenge the first chair?"

With just one strike, the first-ranked fighter, Kanjen Shimabara, fell to the ground.

The crowd was shocked, but Fushimi only said,

"Your swords are too noisy."

From that moment on, the name "Black God's Blade" began to spread.

[Act 3: Meeting Tendo]

After class, Fushimi sits alone in the academy's old dojo, practicing swordplay.

Tendo Kyouichi appears silently, wounded.

"Does your sword also have a three-step rhythm?"

Fushimi didn't deny it but asked coldly,

"Who do you want to win against?"

Kyouichi didn't hesitate.

"I want to win against myself. And win you."

Fushimi laughed softly—the kind of cold laugh solo travelers had long since become accustomed to.

"Then you must know that the word 'swordsmanship' isn't about pleasing the rules."

That night, for the first time, the two practiced swordsmanship side by side. There were no words, only the sound of swords.

Until late at night, the moonlight fell on the tips of their swords.

Neither of them said anything, but both knew:

"That battle will happen sometime in the future."

[Epilogue: Sword of the Unreturned]

The camera pans back to modern times.

The administrator of the Swordsmanship Department's data room softly said:

"There is no record of their last battle."

"Only one data file name remains: 'Sword Spirit - Extreme Break.'"

The screen freezes.

The king of the old era had gradually awakened.

His story was just beginning.
