Donald is flanked by Eve and Robot as they approach William and Conor, who had just ended their spar and had the telltale signs of low-level exhaustion on their faces.
"William, there is an emergency that only you and Immortal are qualified to deal with, we will be sending Atom Eve and Conor to act as support, but they should absolutely not directly engage!"
Donald made sure to look both of them in the eyes to make sure they understood the commands and gestured for the young men to follow.
As they neared the hangar, they could see the silhouettes of Immortal and War Woman as they were heading to the GDA headquarters to try and subdue the strange alien being.
"Oh, William, Robot dropped off a gift for you in your locker, apparently, he worked with Art to make it so it should be pretty good." Donald's words broke William's focus on the disappearing Immortal and War Woman as he turned to Donald with questioning eyes.
Sigh... "Follow me!" Donald walked in the direction of the locker rooms and towards William's locker, which had a note taped to it that he handed to William.
William unsealed the note and began reading eagerly.
"William, I had some leftover material from your bones, and through a partnership with Art Rosenbaum, we managed to make a suit that we are sure will be to your liking. Again, thank you for allowing me the use of your bones!"
The note ended with an emoticon of a Robot giving a thumbs up, causing William to chuckle lightly as he folded the note and placed it in his locker before seeing what Robot had left for him.
Hanging in his locker was an upgraded super suit that had been created using his blood and bones.
Reaching out towards the suit, William began to feel a slight pinging sensation in the back of his mind, as if he was reconnecting to something he had long forgotten. The moment he touched its oddly comforting surface, something changed.
"Greetings, Master!" A familiar voice he had thought lost in the previous Flaxan invasion was heard in the depths of his mind, and his eyes went wide upon realization.
"Aura?"
A smile formed on his face before returning to normal.
"Yes, Master, it is good to see you again as well!"
While mentally conversing with the suit's built-in AI, he had begun donning the new suit, and when he had fully equipped it, a visor appeared on the helmet over his eyes, and a virtual young woman with a professional but sincere appearance appeared on screen.
She was wearing a pencil skirt and a blouse that was utterly incapable of hiding her ridiculous curves, and her face was the very image of perfection, practically coming off as angelic as she smiled warmly at William through the screen.
WHOOSH!
WHOOSH!
William threw a couple of practice punches to get used to the feeling and was surprised to find that the suit seemed to automatically adjust for ease of movement, the blood-infused fabrics either tightening or loosening in response to his every movement.
The plates, which seemed to be a composite of his bone matter and some alien material, shifted to better suit his musculature, and when they completed the changes, Aura winked at him through the visor and whistled.
"Looking good!"
She proceeded to blow him an air kiss before disappearing from the screen.
William flew a few feet off the ground and flew back to the Hangar to find Donald waiting for him.
"They had to push off. Things have escalated at HQ, and the order has sent reinforcements, so we are having to send everyone to deal with them while your team can hopefully deal with Battle Beast."
William nodded before disappearing through the hangar doors with so much speed that he caused a trail of vapors to follow him through the sky above the bridge.
In GDA HQ, Battle Beast was holding Titan by his neck as he waited for his prey to arrive.
Titan was cringing in pain as he struggled to breathe, even using his powers, Battle Beast was able to break through his shell like it was made of paper
HYAK!
He spat out a mouthful of blood as the pressure on his neck slightly increased and the bones in his neck threatened to snap.
"Hmmm?"
Battle Beast's ears twitched as he heard a distant noise, and his face distorted into a feral smile before throwing Titan to the wall next to him as if he were yesterday's trash.
CRASH!
Titan smashed into the wall and fell face forward onto a desk, causing a mess in the area where he landed.
BOOM!
Immortal came bursting through the door, which flew off its hinges, and stared at the lion-like alien standing in the GDA lobby.
He knew that GDA agents were likely hiding nearby and under orders by Cecil not to engage this being for one simple reason.
Battle Beast was someone not even Omni-Man was willing to face.
Immortal walked in front of Battle Beast and crossed his arms.
"What is the meaning of this? Why are you here?" Immortal demanded as he stared deep into Battle Beasts' yellow eyes.
Battle Beast's smile continued to distort into a sadistic grin, "Little immortal man, did you lose too many brain cells when I ripped your head off last time?"
Immortal grabbed his neck and had a sudden flash of memory from the past that filled his thoughts.
The day when Battle Beast had first arrived on Earth, he had attempted to fight him, only to be soundly brutalized and have his head be used as the world's bloodiest baseball when the alien threw his decapitated head into the distance.
GDA had to search for days before they found him, and when he became reattached, he felt it all once again.
Clenching his fist and gritting his teeth, Immortal glared at the alien with renewed anger before repeating himself.
"Why are you here?"
A silence followed before Battle Beasts' ears picked up the comms chatter nearby, and he could make out one of the agents talking about reinforcements being inbound.
Battle Beast licked his lips in a predatory manner and, ignoring Immortals' question, began moving towards the hero.
CRACK!
The sound of Battle Beast's knuckles cracking filled the room, and the atmosphere suddenly shifted into something far more deadly.
On instinct, Immortal took a defensive combat stance, but only after he did so did he realize his mistake.
BOOOM!
Battle Beast took his defensive stance as a tacit agreement to combat and arrived in front of him with his foot raised, and sent Immortal shooting back out of the doorway he came in through.
Immortal tumbled backwards until he rolled to a stop dozens of feet away with a large, bloodstained claw mark on his suit and the sight of his wounds healing underneath
As he rose to his full height, War Woman and her protégé, Glory, stood on his left and right flanks, respectively. War Woman held her mace in what was once her off-hand, while a shield, custom-designed to accommodate the nub where her dominant hand had been, allowed her to fight with nearly the same effectiveness as before despite her new disability.
Glory, however, had a combat style that was the complete opposite of War Woman's defensive style as she had two brilliantly shimmering xiphos in each hand and an aggressive light in her eyes.
She had come to not only win but to dominate, and seeing this caused Battle Beast to become visibly excited, which caused Glory's eyes to glow with rage.
"You male piece of shit!" She growled before lunging with reckless abandon towards Battle Beast, who reciprocated by charging towards her as well.
Battle Beast slashed with his claws, and Glory dodged by sliding under the attack, which only managed to slice off a single strand of hair before she passed.
Glory spun to a stop and used the remaining momentum to attempt a swift slash to Battle Beast's side, only for the alien to swipe at the blade with his other hand and divert the attack into the ground.
CRCK!
Battle Beast raised his left clawed hand and was in the midst of an attack when War Woman arrived with her shield at the ready.
CLANG!
The shield let out a gentle and somewhat holy glow as it rebuffed the attack and nearly caused Battle Beast to stumble in surprise.
"Old magic, huh, NOT LIKE IT'S THE FIRST TIME!" Battle Beast practically salivated as he swung his mace towards War Woman's glowing shield.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
He strikes three times, each blow causing War Woman to slide further and further back until her back is against the wall.
CRACK... BOOM!
Battle Beast kicked her shield, causing her body to go flying through the wall, and she smashed into a vehicle outside.
Immortal flashed behind Battle Beast and attempted to hold him in a full nelson while Glory dashed to the front of the alien and began delivering a flurry of angry slashes.
SHNK!
SHNK!
SHNK!
SHNK!
After a series of furious blows, Glory finally managed to cut open Battle Beast's incredibly tough hide.
"Hmph, mere papercuts, give me MORE!"
Battle Beast roared before grabbing Immortal and using him as a club to smash into Glory, sending the furious Amazon flying through the bulletproof glass in the front of the building.
Seeing War Woman rushing back through the hole in the wall her body had created, Battle Beast threw his mace with surprising accuracy and power, causing War Woman, who had her shield raised, to go flying once again.
BOOM...!
This time, she went through the car and formed a small trench on the other side as she landed.
Battle Beast lifted the now delirious Immortal to eye level and, with a wicked grin on his face, grabbed onto the man's legs with his other hand.
CRACK... RIPP!
Battle Beast began pulling, causing the bones in Immortals' body to break in protest before the sound of tearing flesh and organs began to emanate from the man's body.
"AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!
Immortal was undoubtedly tough, but there are some levels of pain that no one can resist, and being ripped in half was one of those levels, so it was no surprise to anyone when the Immortal's screams filled the lobby and even extended out to the city.
Battle Beast pulled with a jerk, finally ending the Immortals' suffering as the light left his eyes.
Seeing this, War Woman and Glory became enraged both, and the two rushed towards Battle Beast simultaneously from each side.
CLANG!
CRACK!
Battle Beast grabbed War Woman's mace in the air while delivering a kick that smashed into Glory's ribs, sending her smashing into the desk next to Titan, who was starting to come back to consciousness.
BOOM!
"AAHHH!"
BOOM!
"AHHHH!"
Battle Beast relentlessly pummeled War Woman's abdomen with a barrage of brutal punches, leaving her midsection swollen and bruised in shades of dark blue and purple. Witnessing this, Titan charged to Battle Beast's rear, unleashing a rapid series of strikes aimed at the alien's ribs.
"Tsk, begone, pest!"
In an instant, Battle Beast's clawed hand struck Titan's head with devastating force, shattering the stone fragments of his exterior as he was hurled through the air, slamming into the doorframe and collapsing into unconsciousness.
Outside, reinforcements from both the Order and the GDA converged in the parking lot, their arrival setting the stage for a high-stakes confrontation. Dozens of armed and superpowered agents from the Order faced off against their GDA adversaries, the air around them heavy with an electric, suffocating tension.
News helicopters buzzed overhead, while broadcasts across the country amplified the unfolding chaos, spreading unease and fear among the population.
Amid the aerial swarm, one helicopter happened to be in the perfect position to spot a distant, gleaming object rapidly approaching. The crew quickly trained their camera on the mysterious figure, capturing its swift, focused advance.
Back in the studio, relief swept through some of the staff as the figure came into clearer view. One person, exhaling loudly, muttered with dry humor, "Well, at least he's got clothes on this time!"
