Amelia was new to being an Otherkind but her raw power was enough to give her an edge over many of her kind. She ran through the forest with such speed that one could only keep track of her if they were inhuman themselves. She leapt over ravines and jumped from one tree to another. She had to create some distance between her and the Draugr Princess. She had to do this before the princess recovered.
Amelia knew that the princess was injured by the powerful attack but from what she had been told about the Draugr in the few weeks she had been at this school, she was not willing to even go and finish her off. Her best hope was in fleeing as fast as possible.
At this moment, Hildr heard movement around her. She knew that the students were already up and fleeing. This also meant that the one with the Crown of the Endless had to be fleeing even faster. This was unacceptable. She had to get this crown at all costs.
Hildr sensed someone moving closer to her. She calmed down and waited for her opportunity. A young female student who had been going around healing her fellow students finally reached Hildr.
This student was from the merfolk clan and she had the ability to heal others. She was a very kind girl and even in this situation, she still decided to help out her fellow students. Other students with the same ability as her had not been as kind. They had already fled.
The moment the young girl reached within a few feet of Hildr, she struck like a viper. Even though she was nothing but bone and skin, she was still a Draugr Princess. The young girl did not even have the chance to scream before she was dragged into the pit by a force she could never hope to match.
With her personality, she lacked the aggression needed to fight off something like Hildr. Hildr bit into the girl's neck, tearing through flesh and crushing bone. The girl died instantly as her blood was sucked in by Hildr.
Within just a few seconds, the young girl was completely drained. Hildr could feel power rising up within her veins. Her flesh regenerated faster than she could think. The process slowed down soon after but this was after most of Hildr's body had been reformed.
She did not wait for the pain to subside as she jumped out of the pit and pounced on the nearest student. Screams filled the air as students fled for the hills.
After killing and taking in the blood of three students, Hildr gave up on chasing after these students. She allowed her senses to spread out into the surroundings. Her sense of smell, hearing and vision were better than that of any predator known to man.
At this moment, she no longer saw the world like a normal person. She saw everything that had life in a red color. This included plants and insects. When she saw Otherkind, she not only saw the red color but also a mass of grey energy within their bodies. This was the life force that made Otherkind unique.
Hildr ignored the students that were next to her since they did not have what she was looking for. She spread her senses further into the forest and in the end, she was able to see an Otherkind who was over three kilometers away. This Otherkind had a black energy about her. This was the power of the Crown of the Endless.
Hildr did not waste any more time. She grasped the earth with her feet and shot off into the sky. In that single moment she released a force so powerful that the earth was completely decimated. Some of the students who were still near her were turned into blood mist.
Hildr decreased her weight and also manipulated the gravity in her surroundings, allowing her to fly at a speed unmatched by most of the jets created by mankind. She achieved all this with the power that flowed within her bloodline.
Amelia was powerful and she had indeed fled far as she had hoped but Hildr was beyond powerful and she was more than determined. It only took her a second to reach above the fleeing Amelia.
Hildr stopped immediately, creating a powerful force that spread out into the surroundings. Hildr increased the gravity below her and Amelia was suddenly forced onto the earth. Hildr was not gentle at all. The power she used slammed Amelia into the earth with such force that blood splashed in all directions.
Hildr descended with power and fury. Amelia tried pushing herself off the ground but nothing worked. The only thing she could do was look up at the descending Hildr. The woman was indeed a beauty that could cause the downfall of empires.
On top of this, she was still naked since all her clothes had been burned off by the powerful flames that came from the old principal. For some reason, Amelia felt the need to look away even though they were both female.
Hildr stood over Amelia and sneered with malice and an air of death about her. She reached down and ripped off the front of Amelia's dress. Beneath her dress, Amelia had hidden the crown. It was a simple black crown. It did not have any jewels and yet the power it gave off even made Hildr take in a deep breath.
She grabbed the crown and inspected it for a few seconds. She did all this while Amelia was still pressed to the ground.
"This is indeed the Crown of the Endless," said Hildr. She then looked down at the struggling Amelia. "That old man truly has an eye for talent. With your power, there was a chance of you escaping but unfortunately for you, you interfered with things beyond your class. This was your first mistake," said Hildr as she raised her left hand.
"Your second mistake was that the person you went up against was me." With these words, she brought her hand down. This hand was packed with enough power to crush boulders, let alone the body of a living thing. She intended to kill all witnesses to her crimes.
