Chapter 131 - Chapter 131: Battle II

Boom!

The deafening roar shook the earth and sky, making the entire city tremble. King Ramposa III and the others, who had just fled the Re-Estize Royal Capital under Lakyus's protection, turned back unconsciously. They saw a giant figure appear in the Re-Estize Royal Capital and beams of energy radiating terrifying fluctuations. They were all stunned for a moment, disbelieving the sight before them.

Although Lakyus, who followed the king, was also surprised by the scene before her—a scene demonstrating unimaginable power—she felt honored to have witnessed it before. That experience allowed her to quickly compose herself, focusing on the task at hand.

"Your Majesty, the current battle situation is unclear. It is too dangerous for you to remain here. You must leave immediately." Lakyus's voice was firm, full of urgency.

"Oh, I see."

Upon being reminded, the old king regained his composure and pulled the reins to spur his horse to continue running, but he was stopped by Lakyus.

She proposed to the old king, "Your Majesty, now that we have left the spatial blockade area, I will use [Greater Teleportation] magic to temporarily transfer you to E-Rantel, which is a safer place."

"This!?"

King Ramposa III was shocked and hesitated. A frown appeared on his face. The reason was that Lakyus could surprisingly use [Greater Teleportation] magic. He knew that Lakyus did not possess this ability before; it was Evileye of the Blue Roses who mastered this ability. This change was so drastic.

Regarding his hesitation... He knew the king was in danger now. If they evacuated out of the city, he wouldn't object, but was it too far to suddenly run to E-Rantel? He could move directly, but what about the people in the Re-Estize Royal Capital?

As a king, he didn't refuse Lakyus's suggestion to flee. Now, however, he didn't want to abandon the city's inhabitants. It would be better if he could evacuate with them. A sense of responsibility weighed on him.

Lakyus was Princess Renner's best friend. Although she didn't have much interaction with the king, she had a general understanding of his way of doing things. So she delivered some news to the king to alleviate his doubts.

"Don't worry, Your Majesty. This time I returned with many members of the Church of Destiny. Many of them are also capable of using [Teleportation] magic and can assist the people in evacuation."

"As soon as I safely take you to E-Rantel, I will return to help them."

As she spoke, Lakyus turned to Gazef Stronoff and asked, "Mister Stronoff, before I return, can you help the members of the Church of Destiny evacuate the people?"

"Yes!"

Gazef Stronoff nodded solemnly, then posed a more important question, "Lady Lakyus, do you think Lord Kael is confident in driving away Ainz Ooal Gown and his subordinates? I'd like to know the estimated evacuation requirements."

The meaning was not difficult to understand. If Kael could drive away Ainz Ooal Gown and his subordinates, then the residents of the Re-Estize Royal Capital wouldn't need to evacuate too far. They would only need to maintain a certain safe distance from the Re-Estize Royal Capital, the center of the battle.

But if Kael wasn't confident in defeating Ainz Ooal Gown and the others, it meant that the Re-Estize Royal Capital would most likely fall in this battle, and the people would have to leave the city entirely to ensure their safety. A terrible gamble.

Lakyus was silent for a moment, considering Kael's words. Then, she replied, "I'm sorry, Mister Stronoff, I cannot give a definite answer. However, this time His Excellency Kael sent all members of the Church of Destiny who can use [Teleportation] magic here. I think that's just in case."

Not confident?

Gazef Stronoff frowned slightly, feeling that the situation was not good. A bad premonition crept into his heart. "I understand. I will do my best to keep the people away from this city until this war ends."

In the Re-Estize Royal Capital, the gigantic God figure and the towering energy pillar had all disappeared, and the battlefield fell silent for a moment. Only debris and dust remained.

Under the giant God's attack, the entire palace courtyard and parts of the city walls were reduced to ash, leaving only a circular wasteland with a diameter of over 500 meters. A total devastation.

In the center of that area, Demiurge and the three General Demons were nowhere to be seen—either truly annihilated or hidden—leaving only the insectoid Cocytus gasping, his body trembling.

He was severely wounded, his outer armor damaged in many places, and one of his four arms was missing, oozing green fluid.

Whoosh!

The sound of a horse neighing echoed in the sky. Cocytus looked up and found that it was Leinas riding a Bright Unicorn, launching a [Holy Beast Charge] towards him. He knew this was a deadly attack.

Insectoids were not immortal beings, and if their injuries were too serious, their combat effectiveness would drastically weaken.

So, although Cocytus took out his weapon in time to defend himself, he was still thrown back by Leinas's impact, his massive body flung backward.

The Bright Unicorn trod on empty air and turned quickly. After completing an arc and gathering strength, it attacked Cocytus again, with lightning speed.

But this time Leinas's attack did not succeed.

"Drink!"

A black shadow shot out from behind Cocytus, swinging [Ginnungagap] towards Leinas who was charging. It was Albedo!

Boom!

Accompanied by a dull, booming sound, Albedo retreated a considerable distance from the impact, while Leinas and the Bright Unicorn's attacking movement was disrupted and they stopped dead in their tracks.

At this moment, Shalltear Bloodfallen suddenly appeared on Leinas's left side and stabbed her with a fierce expression on her face, blood flowing from the tip of her lance.

Leinas immediately retreated to avoid Shalltear Bloodfallen's stab, then swung her Drip Spear to counterattack.

However, Shalltear Bloodfallen refused to yield. She swung her magic lance, leaving a red trail, and engaged in a fierce battle with Leinas.

As a Priest-Warrior, Shalltear Bloodfallen's level was indeed 30 levels higher than Leinas, but her close-combat attributes were unable to form an absolutely crushing advantage. She only had a slight edge.

Besides herself, Leinas also had the brightly colored Bright Unicorn mount, adding mobility and power.

In the gap between the two's lances, the Bright Unicorn suddenly moved some distance away and knocked Shalltear Bloodfallen down with its sharp horn.

At this moment, Albedo suddenly charged and struck the Bright Unicorn with a powerful axe blow.

Whoosh!

The Bright Unicorn let out a painful roar. Leinas forced Albedo back with one shot, and then she dared not stay any longer. She immediately pulled the reins to urge the Bright Unicorn away, fleeing the unfavorable two-on-one fight.

"Never think of escaping!"

Shalltear Bloodfallen and Albedo were unwilling to let Leinas escape, so they worked together to chase her and unleash magical attacks from time to time.

Attacked by two powerful Guardians, Leinas struggled to find an opportunity to fight back and looked extremely embarrassed for a while, completely cornered.

Not far away, Kael came to where Demiurge "died," wanting to check if any treasure had dropped.

To his surprise, the expected World Item harvest did not appear. A frown creased his brow.

"Did Ainz Ooal Gown give the [Ring of Resurrection: Super Rare] to Demiurge?"

Kael couldn't help but turn to look at Ainz Ooal Gown, who was protected by several high-level Elder Liches and engaged in a magical battle with Enri Emmot and Fluder Paradyne with his powerful magical prowess. He secretly guessed, searching for possibilities.

However, he quickly dismissed this possibility. The [Ring of Resurrection: Super Rare] was an extremely rare item. There might not even be two in the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick as a whole. Even if Ainz Ooal Gown truly wanted to give it to Demiurge, the Guardians would not agree.

Although other Rings of Resurrection had resurrection effects, they could not do what the [Ring of Resurrection: Super Rare] could, which was only to drop the worst items on a person after death.

The greater possibility was that Demiurge had no World Items equipped on him.

"What the hell is this? I was tricked into using a big move?" An expression of disbelief and slight annoyance appeared on Kael's face.

As Kael was lost in his thoughts, a tall General Demon appeared silently behind him. Suddenly, it struck Kael's back with a fire-clad fist!

Blazing flames spewed from his chest, and the small amount of HP remaining after unleashing [Transform into the Savior God] was instantly drained. Kael flew forward uncontrollably and met his first death in this battle, falling to the ground.
