Chapter 85 - Errors

"My God, his speed is incredible!" Jin shouted as he watched the burly man named Arno charge toward Master Hakin with astounding speed. Will, standing nearby, instinctively drew his sword and dashed forward to block Arno's path, positioning himself in front of Master Hakin. "Will! It's futile! You are not even in the same world as them! You can't help them!" Jin yelled at Will. "Tch! Damn it!" Will clicked his tongue dismissively, realizing the situation. "Time Freeze!" A calm voice rang out from behind Will. It was Master Hakin, and despite facing three attackers, his composure was unshaken. Will couldn't help but think that Master Hakin must have a well-thought-out plan. "Will, look!" Jin exclaimed, his eyes wide with disbelief. Will followed his gaze. "What?" Will gasped in astonishment, as he witnessed a scene beyond belief. "Time stopped?" Will could only utter those words, his voice filled with awe. Arno, who had been charging toward Master Hakin, was frozen mid-sprint, his body rigid, unmoving. In the distance, Merlin and the dwarf mage Marcus were similarly frozen, their hands raised toward Master Hakin but unable to move. "I must hurry," Master Hakin murmured, then decisively moved to the side of King Sam II, who was also immobilized by the Time Freeze spell. Hakin intended to move the motionless king to safety, but using any other magic would interrupt the Time Freeze, so he could only carefully push the king along. "Master Hakin, you truly live up to your reputation as the greatest mage!" At that moment, a man dressed in a gentleman's suit, named Cole, suddenly spoke. "What?" Master Hakin looked at him, surprised. "You weren't affected by the Time Freeze?" Master Hakin inquired. "Haha, your magic doesn't work on me. It might be enough for them, but not for me!" With that, Cole sprinted toward Master Hakin and King Sam II. As he ran, he drew a long sword from his waist, radiating a chilling silver aura. The sword seemed imbued with magic, and its mere presence caused an unsettling feeling, the entire blade etched with strange runes from hilt to tip. "Die, little king!" Cole shouted as he leaped toward King Sam II, raising his sword to strike straight at the king's heart. "Shockwave!" Master Hakin immediately thrust his palm toward Cole, releasing a powerful shockwave aimed at him. However, when the shockwave struck, it seemed to have no effect on Cole, as though he absorbed it without harm. "I told you, your magic is useless against me!" Cole laughed triumphantly, his sword now just inches from King Sam II's chest. "Damn it!" Master Hakin shouted in frustration, shoving the small king aside. Just as he did, Cole's sword thrust forward, embedding itself in the king's throne. "Ha! Finally separated you two," Cole sneered, looking at Master Hakin with malice. He yanked his sword free from the throne and strode toward the motionless King Sam II. "Stop!" Master Hakin shouted in fury. "Hmph, this is your fate. Watch as the little king perishes in my hands. Watch the United Nations rise again under my command, and watch the world fall into chaos," Cole declared, raising his sword high. "Damn you!" Will, standing to the side, was filled with overwhelming rage. His teeth clenched, his fists so tight they were almost bleeding. If only they were from the same world, he would have charged forward already. "Will, we can't do anything right now," Jin said gravely, understanding Will's fury but recognizing their helplessness. They could only watch as events unfolded. "I won't let you have your way!" Master Hakin roared, knowing his magic was ineffective against Cole. He immediately turned and aimed at the throne next to Cole. "Mana Detonation!" Master Hakin shouted, causing an explosion of magic from the throne beside Cole. Though the magic couldn't directly harm Cole, the indirect damage was enough to make Cole's sword fall to the ground. "That's great!" Will and Jin shouted in excitement. "Tsk. So this is what the greatest mage of the United Nations can do? Very clever, figuring out a way to deal with me so quickly," Cole mocked, turning away from the fallen weapon to sarcastically "praise" Master Hakin. Although Master Hakin had saved King Sam II from being killed, the use of another spell had broken the "Time Freeze" effect, and everyone who had been frozen could now move again. "What's happening?" Arno stood still, confused, looking at his body. "Master Hakin, you're amazing!" Marcus, the dwarf, exclaimed in excitement. "Damn old man!" Merlin, who had once been Master Hakin's disciple, growled, frustrated. "Master Hakin, what's going on?" King Sam II, now aware of the change in his surroundings, asked. "Your Majesty! Run!" Master Hakin urgently shouted. "No way!" Marcus and Merlin both shouted simultaneously, raising their hands toward the king. Two dark shockwaves immediately shot toward him. "Damn it! I don't have enough energy to use Time Freeze again," Master Hakin thought anxiously, watching the shockwaves speed toward the king. "Counter Shield!" King Sam II suddenly shouted, creating a red, translucent shield in front of him. The shockwaves were absorbed, and then instantly reflected back at Merlin and Marcus. "What?" Marcus and Merlin said in unison, surprised. They hadn't anticipated that the king would use such magic and had not prepared to counter it. They quickly dodged the reflected attack. The shockwave's force was immense, creating a massive hole in the castle wall. "Well, I didn't expect even the king of the United Nations to be this strong. Seems we underestimated you," Cole said smugly, approaching the fallen sword. He picked it up carefully, examining it, then grinned maliciously as he charged toward the unprotected King Sam II. "No! Cole!" Master Hakin shouted, trying to stop him, though he knew his magic was useless against Cole. At that moment, Arno, who had been motionless, suddenly charged at Master Hakin. He reached Hakin's side and raised his leg, preparing to kick him in the waist. "Get out of my way!" Master Hakin yelled in desperation, quickly turning to face Arno. With a powerful swipe of his hand, a massive tornado erupted from his palm, blowing Arno backward into the wall. "Damn it!" Merlin and Marcus immediately got back up, quickly firing two more shockwaves at Master Hakin. Without hesitation, Master Hakin raised a red shield, absorbing the shockwaves' energy. Instead of returning the energy to Merlin and Marcus, he redirected it toward Cole, who was advancing on the king. "Cole!" Merlin and Marcus yelled in alarm, warning him. "Hmph!" Cole glanced back, smirking as the shockwave approached. He swiftly dodged it, allowing it to fly past him, straight toward the defenseless King Sam II. "What!" Master Hakin screamed in horror, trying to stop the attack, but it was too late. The shockwave struck King Sam II, and he let out a heart-rending scream of agony. "Damn it!" Will and Jin, helplessly watching, shouted in panic. "It's not my fault," Cole sneered, having successfully evaded the attack, speaking to Master Hakin with malicious satisfaction.
