A month had passed since the young man was transported to the world of MHA with the "template" of Aokiji. During that time, he had made significant progress in his training. Aokiji discovered that his Devil Fruit power had been converted into a quirk when he tried swimming in the pool. To his surprise, he did not sink, which relieved him as he initially feared he would inherit the Devil Fruit's critical weakness.
Now, Aokiji was wearing weights all over his body — 5 tons on each limb. He continued his punching exercises against the durable wall, noticing that his strikes were becoming more refined. He could now throw a proper punch, utilizing his entire body to maximize power.
His quirk training was also advancing. Aokiji could now manipulate an ice statue to dance fluidly, a skill he honed for three hours each day. His stamina had also increased significantly; he could now unleash Ice Age five times before feeling exhausted. Today, however, Goro had a new lesson in mind — control.
--------------------
"We both know you're strong, right? But you must also learn to control that strength. Here, let me show you," Goro said, picking up two eggs and placing one in each hand.
Aokiji watched as Goro started punching the wall he normally trained against. He punched continuously for five minutes before stopping and opening his hands. The eggs remained intact.
"This will be the next part of your training," Goro said. "I want you to punch with all your strength without cracking the eggs in your hands."
Aokiji immediately grabbed two eggs from the basket and began his training. However, his first punch shattered the eggs. Frustrated but determined, he grabbed two more and tried again.
An hour later, after countless attempts, Aokiji finally managed to throw a punch without breaking the eggs. Encouraged by his progress, he continued punching, slowly increasing the number of consecutive punches without breaking the eggs. By the end of the hour, he could maintain the restraint for 40 punches straight before the eggs broke.
Satisfied, Aokiji stopped, having gone through a hundred baskets of eggs — each containing 25 eggs. After the restraint training, he moved on to his daily run, now carrying 30 tons of weight — 20 tons distributed across his body and another 10 tons in chains. He sprinted for an hour, each step sending shockwaves through his exhausted legs.
When he finally stopped, his breathing was heavy, and he felt like a marathon runner who had just crossed the finish line. After eating lunch, he resumed his training, this time managing to punch the wall continuously for two hours without breaking the eggs.
----------------------
After the restraint training, Aokiji shifted to quirk control. Now that he could fully control one statue, he decided to try something new. He formed an eagle out of ice, attempting to make it fly.
However, the bird simply flapped its wings without generating enough lift to leave the ground. Aokiji realized he didn't know how to mimic the mechanics of flight, so he decided to scrap the idea for now.
Instead, he focused on controlling multiple statues. He created three identical ice figures and attempted to make them fight in a free-for-all. At first, the movements were awkward, much like when he first started with a single statue. Now that he had three to control simultaneously, the difficulty increased.
After three hours of intense focus, Aokiji managed to make the statues move without looking awkward, but the speed was still slower than he wanted. Feeling the strain of the day's training, he decided to call it a day and headed to dinner with his parents.
---------------------
At the dinner table, Goro, who had been away after giving Aokiji his training instructions, was eager to hear how his son fared.
"So, how did it go?" Goro asked, his eyes fixed on Aokiji, who was wolfing down a large piece of meat.
"It went great. I can now punch for two hours straight without breaking the eggs, so I think I'm getting the hang of it," Aokiji said, pausing to take a drink of water.
"That's good," Goro said, nodding in approval.
"Maybe after a year, once you're completely confident in controlling your quirk, we should enroll you in a martial arts school," Fubuki suggested, joining the conversation.
"Why? I can teach him just fine," Goro said, crossing his arms. The idea of someone else teaching his son didn't sit well with him.
Fubuki chuckled. "That's not the point, dear. I think it would be good for Aokiji to interact with other kids his age. He's already being homeschooled, and he's mostly alone except for us."
"Oh... Fine," Goro relented, realizing that Fubuki had a valid point. "We'll see after a year."
Meanwhile, Aokiji continued eating, thinking about the next day's training. He could feel his strength increasing daily, and that thought excited him more than anything.
