Chapter 59: Zeya Evolves
Blue Lock Pitch – After the First Goal
"That goal was so beautiful!"
"Seiichi, you really are… sexy!"
Shidō Ryusei sprinted toward Seiichi like a missile, grabbing his shoulders and shaking him wildly.
Seiichi tilted his head back with a smug grin and calmly pushed Shidō's hands away.
"Don't use words like that. It's vulgar," he said flatly. "Just call me 'masterpiece.'"
Drop! Kickoff.
The red team restarted play. Rin tapped the ball gently to Zeya.
Zeya didn't speak.
He exploded forward.
His steps were like thunder. His aura blazed gold.
"He's going alone?!"
Seiichi stepped in, ready. "Come at me, then—"
But Zeya was already gone.
"What the—?!"
Seiichi turned as Zeya blurred past him, pure lightning in motion.
Right Wing – Zantetsu's Lane
Zantetsu Tsurugi dashed in from the right.
"If I outrun him, I'll be the coolest!"
But Zeya had seen him.
With a Bull Tail Feint, he dragged the ball toward Zantetsu, then flicked it the opposite way.
Zantetsu lunged—
"Got—HUH?!"
Too late.
Zeya was already gone.
He wasn't just fast anymore.
He was clean. Sharp. Controlled. Ruthless.
Edge of the Box – Isagi's Defense
Isagi leapt into the lane.
"I won't let you shoot!"
Zeya didn't break stride.
He gave him a cold glance.
You've grown… but this is my stage.
Zeya shifted left—shoulder drop. Plant. Pull-Back. Power Shot.
BOOM!
His right foot ripped through the ball.
It arced toward the top right corner.
The Blue Lock Man dove—
Too slow.
GOAL!!
Red Team equalizes!
Score: 1–1
White Team Side
Seiichi's grin faded. He stood motionless.
"So you're really going for it, huh…?"
His brain lit up—instinct calculating, eyes reading.
"Fine. Then I'll break you first."
Isagi stood, panting.
"I predicted him… and still couldn't stop it."
He clenched his fists.
"I need more… I have to evolve."
Click… click…
Inside his mind, the puzzle pieces began to rotate again.
Observation Booth – Monitoring Room
Ego leaned forward.
"This isn't just FLOW," he muttered.
He narrowed his eyes on Zeya's footwork. His gaze. His posture.
"He's playing every second at full throttle…"
Anri raised her eyebrows. "Is that rare?"
Ego's lips curled.
"No. It's insane."
He tapped the monitor.
"But more importantly—Zeya's awakening. He's unlocking something new."
White Team Possession
Seiichi calmly controlled the ball at midfield.
Rin pressed in fast.
But Seiichi didn't challenge him.
Instead, he passed.
"Isagi!"
Isagi blinked, surprised. "Huh?! Me?"
But his body moved automatically.
One-touch to Kuon.
Back to Isagi.
Perfect one-two pass.
He chipped the ball into space—
"SEIICHI!!"
Already sprinting, Seiichi met it in stride.
But Zeya was already in position.
Again.
"You're still chasing me?" Seiichi asked, amused.
Zeya's voice was colder than steel. "Keep running."
Seiichi smirked. "Then I will."
He pushed forward, twisting his hips—
But Zeya mirrored him, step for step.
Fast.
Precise.
Unshaken.
"…You're impressive," Seiichi muttered. "But this is football."
"I'm the best midfielder here!"
With a quick left-foot flick—
Lofted pass!
"SHIDŌ!!"
Inside the Box
Shidō Ryusei's eyes widened with glee.
"About damn time!"
Nanase bolted in to block.
Too slow.
Shidō leapt.
Scorpion Kick.
CRACK!
The ball launched off his heel, backward and twisting mid-air.
The Blue Lock Man lunged—
GOAL!!
White Team scores again!
2–1!
Celebration Chaos
Shidō landed and threw his arms wide.
"EVERY CELL IN MY BODY EXISTS TO SCORE!! HAHAHAHA!!"
Seiichi groaned, dragging a hand down his face.
"Why do you shout after every goal?"
Shidō slung an arm around him. "Because it's FUN, Shi-Shi~!"
Seiichi rolled his eyes. "Keep yelling, and I'll pass everything to Isagi. Even the rebounds."
"WHAT?! TRAITOR!!"
Midfield Reset
Zeya walked calmly to the center circle.
No celebration. No reaction.
Only pressure.
His eyes gleamed gold.
"…You passed again, Seiichi."
"…Good."
"I'll destroy that version of you."
He placed the ball carefully.
Knees bent.
Lightning buzzed in his pupils.
Round two had already begun.
