Chapter 70: Finally, A Round of the Tryout Competition Begins!

In the Blue Lock audiovisual room, all players not involved in the match were gathered, eyes glued to the screen.

"It's starting! The final Tryout match of Blue Lock has begun!"

Bachira Meguru exclaimed excitedly, sitting with his legs crossed.

"Both teams are stacked with monsters," someone murmured beside him.

"Damn it… and I'm not even in this match."

Kuon Wataru scowled, arms crossed. In his own Tryout game, only Shidou and Hiori scored, and they were crushed 5–2 by Yūshin Seiichi's team.

That loss had stung. He hadn't even used his full strength—no one had.

But Seiichi led the match from start to finish. The defeat had felt suffocating.

"I'm seriously jealous of Isagi Yoichi. He's just average, but he gets to play in two Tryout games!"

"Right? It's crazy…"

Blue Lock Building 3 – Tryout Match Final Round

Red Team (Group A): Yūshin Seiichi, Itoshi Rin, Isagi Yoichi, Tokimitsu Aoshi, Aryū Jyūbei

White Team (Group B): Barō Shōei, Shidou Ryusei, Chigiri Hyōma, Yukimiya Kenyu, Tabito Karasu

Ding! Kickoff!

Here we go… My last chance to prove myself.

Isagi's gaze sharpened with resolve.

With both Chigiri and Barō on the other team, the White Team's power was undeniable. To contribute, he had to seamlessly sync with Seiichi and Rin.

From the first whistle, Seiichi and Rin exchanged passes with surgical precision, tearing through the White Team's front line.

So sharp…

Karasu's expression darkened. The duo's connection was tighter than before—faster, cleaner.

Their chemistry had evolved again.

"Don't get cocky, Yūshin Seiichi!!"

Barō's fury flared. His eyes stayed locked on Seiichi like a predator tracking prey.

At the right moment, he launched forward, slamming his body into Seiichi's path.

"You've got power—but you're still not stopping me."

Seiichi's smirk was cold. With a sharp feint and a knock-on stop, he shifted Barō's weight center and flicked the ball under his legs with his left foot.

"See you later."

"Don't mock me!!"

Barō twisted fast, grabbing Seiichi's arm as he tried to break free. His body moved like a beast unchained.

This guy really doesn't give up…

But Seiichi wasn't chasing pride anymore.

He was chasing results.

His eyes gleamed—calculating, patient. With one shove from his right hand, he created space and used his left foot to launch a curved pass across the field.

Bang!

Direct shot—Itoshi Rin!

Goal! 1–0, Red Team!

Isagi clenched his fists in frustration.

No chemistry. No impact. I'm falling behind again…

How does he see everything so clearly?

"Those two are unreal,"

Jyūbei Aryū whispered, eyes twinkling.

"Every part of me is dancing right now!"

"Don't get all dreamy, Tentacle Freak,"

Karasu snapped. "If we don't shut down Seiichi, we've got no shot."

"Leave that to me," Barō growled, black flames practically spilling from his eyes. "I'll crush him."

"You? You couldn't handle him before," Karasu scoffed. "What's different now?"

Barō turned, gaze cold. "Don't lump me in with losers. This time, I'll silence Yūshin Seiichi myself."

Ding! Game resumes!

"Let's go—counterattack!"

Shidou launched a pass to Karasu, who sprinted down the flank.

But Seiichi was already in position, blocking him just two steps past midfield.

Karasu opened his arms wide, trying to use his reach.

But Seiichi struck first.

Too slow.

He smacked Karasu's arms away with perfect timing.

"Seriously?!"

Karasu gritted his teeth. Seiichi's read was flawless—again.

I can't get past him… Pass it…

But before he could, another blur cut in front of the ball.

"What the—!?"

"Was that Isagi?!"

"The most average guy intercepted Karasu's sneaky pass?!"

"Nice read, Isagi,"

Seiichi called, already surging upfield.

"I'll seal you this time, Seiichi!!"

Barō burst through, black aura surrounding him, ignoring Isagi completely and charging at Seiichi.

"That's not like you, Barō,"

Seiichi murmured, shoulder to shoulder now. "Where's your kingly dignity?"

"I'll slay the rebel first. Then I reclaim my throne!"

"Oh? Try it then."

But Barō clung to him like a shadow.

Seiichi's options were limited.

No one's open… What do I do?

"Hey! What're you staring at, little soldier?"

Shidou barreled into Isagi, who had the ball, standing directly in his path.

Damn… A one-on-one with Shidou?

Isagi tensed. He needed power—strength like Seiichi's.

Without it, he was just a weak link.

Suddenly—

Bang!

"Chigiri?!"

"You froze, Isagi,"

Chigiri muttered, stealing the ball and dashing down the sideline like a red blur.

So fast!

Tokimitsu chased, but the gap grew with each step.

Suddenly—

Step!

Rin appeared, cutting off Chigiri's route like a ghost.

When did he get here?!

Chigiri stopped the ball.

He hadn't expected anyone here.

Did Rin predict I'd steal from Isagi?

In that case—Bang!

He passed to Yukimiya.

"Your turn, model boy."

"Indeed. Time to shine."

Yukimiya pushed up, adjusting his glasses as he scanned Rin's stance.

"No.1, huh?"

He smirked. "To me, you're nowhere near as dangerous as Seiichi."

As they neared, Yukimiya swerved left—

Then—snap!—cut right in an instant.

What—?!

Rin blinked. He had been passed.

This guy… he's seriously sharp one-on-one…

Yukimiya exploded into the box.

"I'm the best in Japan when it's one-on-one!"

But Tokimitsu slid in to block the shot lane.

"Let's resolve this peacefully."

Bang!

He shot?! Even with no clear angle?

Tokimitsu turned too late.

The ball spiraled up—spinning like a drill.

SWOOSH!

GOAL! 1–1!

Yukimiya lowered his leg and flashed a model-perfect smile.

"Feels good to score in front of the so-called top 1, 2, 3, and 4."
